This charming restaurant located on Biltmore Estate was originally an historic barn designed by Richard Morris Hunt. Now transformed into a courtyard restaurant with walls of windows, Deerpark Restaurant serves a generous array of Southern style dishes and Appalachian specialties. Our Taste of the South Weekend brunches offers bountiful choices. It's an excellent setting for family dining, with children nine and younger dining for free. Paid Estate admission is required.   • "My daughter and I were visiting Biltmore and decided to splurge on brunch. The ambience was very nice. Our waitress was very pleasant. Breakfast foods were very good but the lunch items were not. The brisket was extremely overcooked and tough. The ham was not carved properly. The mahi was fishy tasting. The omlettes were delicious as were the pancakes. With the passholder discount, it was a worthwhile visit."

  • "Sunday Brunch at Deerpark was a lovely experience. We were immediately seated upon arrival & waited about 15mins before a server popped up. She admitted to standing around talking & apologized. But the recommendations provided for the breakfast brunch and attentive service made up for it. the brunch had all the basics ++. Deviled eggs, Eggs bend edict with crab meat, prime rib, ham, pancakes made to order, etc. And pass holders arriving before 11 I think...received 20% off. Even better! The food was great & the view of the courtyard with live bluegrass music was wonderful. I have already told a bunch of friends about it. Hope to return after I've lost some weight. I ate entirely to much!"

  • "This was our third trip to the Biltmore & Deerpark Restaurant. We would go more often but live 1,000 miles away. It was our wedding anniversary this time and when the staff found out, they made a special gift for us with chocolate and bonbons. It was so nice! We absolutely love everything about this restaurant-the food, atmosphere and staff. We will be sure to visit again next year!"

  • "We've been to Deerpark for Candlelight Christmas and for Sunday Brunches. The atmosphere is special away from the usual food venues that offer equal fare. The wait staff offer excellent service. The quality of the food is excellent. The only downside is being seated near the folding doors on cold windy days."

  • "I had great expectations for my visit to the Biltmore House/State and it was great as I expected, but the visit to the Deerpark Restaurant let me down. I started with a Bloody Mary, which the server mentioned was spicy, and that I did not mind, but it was thicker than a Gaspacho and it came with 2 stuffed olives, stalk of celery and an slice of fried bacon and it was too too much. The fried chicken was very greasy, the pork ham poorly serve and cold, the vegetables overcooked. The best thing that I ate was a cold smoked salmon, boiled shrimp with remoulade sauce and a nut and banana bread. Even the desserts were nothing to write home about."

  • "This is the second time we have gone to the Deerpark Restaurant. We went for Saturday brunch to celebrate my husbands birthday. It wasn't overly crowded, the service was great, and the food was fantastic. We live in Asheville, NC and love the Biltmore Estate. If you are annual pass holders, you get a 10% discount. I would not recommend going on a holiday if you don't like crowds. The last time we dined there was on Father's Day, and it was packed with people. We prefer quiter times."

  • "Everything we had for brunch was memorable. I can actually tell you every item I had. The food is excellent prepared in ways that I have never experienced. For example, the piece of fried chicken I had was literally infused with spices, not just on the outside. I don't think you will find a better restaurant or value in the Asheville area."

We have been going to Biltmore for over 20 years and are pass holders but had never eaten at Deerpark. The food was excellent, the scenery beautiful but the waitress horrible. I expect more from Biltmore and was extremely disappointed."

  • "My husband and I frequently go to Deerpark for Sunday brunch. The food is seasonal and made with fresh local ingredients, and reflective of the local culture. So not only do you get amazing and different dishes, but the menu is constantly changing. Where else can you get parsnip salad and salmon glazed in "moonshine." The setting is amazing, totally surrounded by glass doors you can dine while enjoying the outdoors. If you go in the warmer months you can even enjoy the fresh mountain air as they will open the large glass patio doors."

Children 5 & under eat free, but the price for adults is a bit high (over $30 per person). The abundance of choices made the price well worth it! I would definitely dine there again."

  • "The winter brunch is delicious and offers something that everyone in the party will like. We were celebrating a birthday, and this was a great choice. The omelet bar offers a variety of toppings, and the cheese grits are the best. There is such a variety of foods, that one can have breakfast, lunch, or both. Foods were constantly being changed so that everything was fresh. Also, the Deerpark is a beautiful and welcome setting. The service was excellent, and I know we will return."

There was a bluegrass guitarist there which added some nice southern mountain ambiance to the mix, though the sound system could have been a little quieter. That would have facilitated better table conversation. The food is delicious and the service is wonderful."

  • "My husband and I wanted a leisurely Sunday brunch on the Biltmore Estate before our second day of visiting the house and grounds. We were happy with the brunch buffet at the Deer Park. The renovated stables feature white tablecloths, live acoustic music, a pleasant ambiance and a bountiful buffet with everything you like for a breakfast. There was a carving stand with prime rib and other meats, an omelet station with a very friendly cook, delicious eggs benedict, crispy and tender Belgian waffles, thick slices of applewood bacon and plump sausages that were cooked perfectly. I really liked that they give you a menu listing all the buffet items so you can plan your attack before filling your plate. Service was very pleasant and attentive."

  • "I made a reservation back in the first of November for a group of 20. One would think that because the restaurant is on the estate grounds of the Biltmore Estate that it would a tourist trap. It is nothing like that at all. My family went to the1:00pm brunch and it was amazing. The food, service and ambience is 5-star. Most of the food is made from the resources on the estate (I.e. beef, chicken, veggies, milk, eggs etc.) You go wrong with this eating option. Just a note for parents of children that don't like to expand their eating ranges make sure you feed the kids before going to the brunch. During the brunch time their is no "children's menu"."

  • "The food was wonderful. I love that the buffet has gourmet-level food and not just "southern-style" cooking. I could not believe the collards tasted so good! Almost as good as I make myself! I especially loved our server. When I told her I was having stomach problems (from an incident at a different restaurant 2 days earlier), she went above and beyond to get me some chamomile tea with honey - at no extra charge! The tea really helped sooth my irritated tummy. I highly recommend Deerpark to anyone who wants great food at a reasonable price from caring staff!"

  • "This was my second visit here, first was lunch, this time for dinner. What a beautiful feeling being there Christmas week! The lights twinkling brought such a wonderful atmosphere! The food was spectacular as was the service! And I told the waiter on the side it was my husbands 55th birthday that day, and he brought out a special dessert for my husband! Could not have been a more perfect evening!"

It was a wonderful experience: the food, the music, the courteous staff, the festive Christmas decorations...to put it bluntly, she could not have picked a more perfect place for a birthday celebration. The food matches the scenery with top quality ingredients prepared with special Biltmore receipes. Service is personal and non-intrusive. We enjoy the special Sunday Brunch menu as it permits one to select from a wide variety of unique items served buffet style. All in all and special place to dine in a very special part of the Western North Carolina mountains."

  • "The food was very tasty and not your standard brunch buffet fare. The carved roast beef was especially notable-tender, and flavorfull. IThe meal was relaxing, something we needed after the rush to leave on holiday at this time of year. Service was polished and even my husband's coffee cup was replaced when the contents had cooled too much. The only thing I would not recommend is to try to stack this restaurant with a special evening meal. We had 10:00 a.m. reservations and we were still full when evening came. We will be returning in the summer and plan to dine here again."
