I went there with a customer before a habs game. Location is great, so is the ambiance, but I would never go there on my own dime, it is simply not worth it, poor service combine with poor quality of food. The waitress was rushing us and did not know the menu. I ordered the Porc and Scallop plate: the porc was missing from my plate, they did not change my plate, they simply brought it on the side, meanwhile my plate got cold. The "bajoue de porc" was cut too tick and it was really hard and dry, I could not even chew it.

We were clear from the moment we confirmed our reservation that we had tickets to the hockey game. As parents of 3 kids we were looking for fine food and great wine to compliment our night out. We were not provided with a wine list when we sat down. No recommendation either. I ended up with the house Cabernet Syrah which was meh at best. Our appetizers were great but we waited forever for our mains. Finally at 6:45pm they arrived forcing us to wolf it down because the puck dropped at 7. Not exactly the relaxing enjoyable dinner I had imagined. I had the hanger steak. I was not asked how I would like it or how the dish was prepared but it was very rare...I could only eat half. My husband had the gnocchi which was very disappointing too.

The starter (tuna carpaccio) was good but nothing exceptional; they did not have zucchini flowers because the end of season for it but haven't corrected the menu. Did not like the main course dish (grilled swordfish), it was dry and not really tasty. The desert (chocolate sphere) was excellent. The service is OK. Overall mixed experience.

It was our waiter's first shift and he did great - Friendly, able to have a light conversation with us, made us laugh, could recommend a good pairing. However, there was another server who kept swooping in and trying to serve us, but without much attention or class - put the menus down without saying hello, listed our water options, even though our waiter had taken our water order. It happened twice during the meal.

We had an excellent mixed salad as a first course, although the dressing was a bit too sweet and that soon got in the way of what could have been the very best salad in town. The main plates were cold and the lamb not grilled at all. The dessert plate was a judicious peach frangipani that delighted both in the presentation and the assortment of flavours. The main dishes greatly missing the mark left us wondering where was the chef?

I've tried here twice, both time right before hitting the shows at Centre Bell. Both time I ordered from "Pre-Event Menu" First time was ok, but second time we ordered at 7 and our food only came at 7:40. It was impossible to get our waiter's attention as he was going back and forth almost running by us. Our show was at 8, so we had to rush chovelling it in and couldn't enjoy as much as I wanted to even though Lamb Skerwer was nice and tender. If you're trying here before the show, I recommend that you come and order at least 1h30min before it starts.

Dommage car bel emplacement.

I went there with a client before the hockey game. Our waiter had no time for us, 15 min for the drinks, 10 more for the bread and to take our order, then the lamb brochettes were overcooked! Once we finished we had to wait another 15 min to get the bill and 10 more to pay the bill. We had to rush to the bell center and almost missed Ginette singing the national anthem! For a 200$ bill for 2 I would expect better service.

This place used to be great, but has taken a turn for the worst. The waiter actually FORGOT to put our complete order in, so we waited 30 minutes between our bad appetizer and our bad main course. During that time, no one even came over to ask us if we wanted another drink. There were only 4 tables occupied during our visit, so how the service is when the restaurant is full, I don't even want to think about! STAY AWAY!

Went for dinner on the Brasserie side before a hockey game. Staff was excellent and attentive, no problems with not speaking French, we were still apologetic. Food was excellent. Wine list was limited to a few by the glass and a few very pricey by the bottle. We choose a French white Anjou. It was perfect with the oysters appetizer. We ordered a seafood platter for the main course. It was priced as "Market Price". I figured "how much could it be". Turns out to be the most expensive thing on the Brasserie menu and the regular dinner menu!!! Everything on it was cooked perfectly though. It was delicious...but I thought that it was overpriced for what it was.

I made a reservation three days prior the hockey game. We have been there before. It's game day, we arrive at 5:15pm (Our reservation is at 5:30pm). We will leave around 7:00pm. The young man who saluted us very well wants to give us a table just beside the alley, where people walk up and down to the bar and also near the bathrooms!!! I will understand if you are late and the place is full. But, the place is 20% full. I said to him that we would prefer another table near a window or a corner. And for him to reply, they are all been reserved Sir !!! Incroyable. If you make a reservation at Decca77. Make sure you have the seating chart and you ask for the table that you want. You can end up near the bathrooms even if the place is empty.

My wife and I ate at the brasserie before the Candiens-Avalanche game. We sat upstairs for the first time and found it a bit noisier than downstairs. The food was excelloent as usual - the winter chowder was one of the better clam chowders I have had in Montreal - full of clams,, ham and with a wonderfully rich broth. The only downside was that my wifes streak with bernaise sauce came with a red wine reduction instead. The waiter wads very apologetic and siad that the kitchen has "run-out" of bernaise and that they would not charge for the steak. These things happen and I was impressed with the tacticful, attentive way it was handled. We will certainly return.

Decca77 was the perfect choice on a cold winter's evening when 4 of us celebrated a belated birthday before a show at the Bell Centre. The winter chowder was an absolute standout, as was the stuffed aubergine, trout and burger, and the sausage starter. Wine selection by the glass, which is often lacklustre at restaurants, was also fine. And the fact that the staff understands your time constraints is a big plus. All around, a very good experience including value for money which is a pleasant bonus.
