Diner Reviews

  • "We were heading to a concert at the Bell Center and had planned for ample time to avoid the rush. The restaurant was not full yet we got very slow service for drinks and the meal. Taking our order took forever we had to ask for a few things several times. I would not recommend it."

  • "I've tried here twice, both time right before hitting the shows at Centre Bell. Both time I ordered from "Pre-Event Menu" First time was ok, but second time we ordered at 7 and our food only came at 7:40. It was impossible to get our waiter's attention as he was going back and forth almost running by us. Our show was at 8, so we had to rush chovelling it in and couldn't enjoy as much as I wanted to even though Lamb Skerwer was nice and tender. If you're trying here before the show, I recommend that you come and order at least 1h30min before it starts."

  • "This restaurant is great for business lunch, very good to be seen and to meet people."

Dommage car bel emplacement."

  • "The lobster fest with beer pairings was so good the first night that we are going back for a second time."
    Dined on 6/16/2014
  • "Not much ambience on a Saturday evening..nice bistro menu, reasonable quality, service slow for the number of people around and the wine waiter..hmmmm...not a very cheerful chap.."
    Dined on 6/14/2014
    Dined on 6/3/2014

  • "Food was good and the service was equally good. I was there for lunch and had Cajun salmon. I had the opportunity to taste the dessert which was awesome: a raspberry limon iced pie."

  • "Excellent and fast service, delicious food, vibrant ambiance. Perfect for a meal before the hockey game."
    Dined on 5/19/2014
  • "I went there with a client before the hockey game. Our waiter had no time for us, 15 min for the drinks, 10 more for the bread and to take our order, then the lamb brochettes were overcooked! Once we finished we had to wait another 15 min to get the bill and 10 more to pay the bill. We had to rush to the bell center and almost missed Ginette singing the national anthem! For a 200$ bill for 2 I would expect better service."
    Dined on 5/19/2014
  • "This place used to be great, but has taken a turn for the worst. The waiter actually FORGOT to put our complete order in, so we waited 30 minutes between our bad appetizer and our bad main course. During that time, no one even came over to ask us if we wanted another drink. There were only 4 tables occupied during our visit, so how the service is when the restaurant is full, I don't even want to think about! STAY AWAY!"

  • "Right next to the Bell Center. I invited a Customer, he wanted a steak, a wanted fish but I had to eat a steak because there was only a steak for two on the menu..."

  • "Was looking something nice for my wife before the habs game tuesday Great food. Good service and we were out right on time. If you choose to go to this restaurant uou need to tell them if its the restaurant or the bistro (otherwise they will send you to the bistro side). We did not know. Bistro was fine but thought we were going to the restaurant for my birthday."

  • "This restaurant is a stone-throw from the Bell Centre. Went there for dinner before seeing Cher. Lack of staff on the floor: ridiculous.House was packed and one person was taking orders!! Not the first time this happens to me there, but will be the last. I will add that, whatever, the staff was polite and professional. Who is in charge of the employees schedule ???"

  • "Went for dinner on the Brasserie side before a hockey game. Staff was excellent and attentive, no problems with not speaking French, we were still apologetic. Food was excellent. Wine list was limited to a few by the glass and a few very pricey by the bottle. We choose a French white Anjou. It was perfect with the oysters appetizer. We ordered a seafood platter for the main course. It was priced as "Market Price". I figured "how much could it be". Turns out to be the most expensive thing on the Brasserie menu and the regular dinner menu!!! Everything on it was cooked perfectly though. It was delicious...but I thought that it was overpriced for what it was."

  • "Second time at this restaurant. We went there before a hockey game with a group of six people. Service was excellent and the food was awesome. We will go back next time in Mtl."

  • "Perfect place to go before a Hockey Game. Rib eye for 2 was very good and pepper sauce to go with it was amazing."
    Dined on 4/10/2014
  • "One of the best table for lunch in the area. The table d'hôtes is very interesting, very tasty and very cheap. You also need to try the chocolate desserts!"

  • "I made a reservation three days prior the hockey game. We have been there before. It's game day, we arrive at 5:15pm (Our reservation is at 5:30pm). We will leave around 7:00pm. The young man who saluted us very well wants to give us a table just beside the alley, where people walk up and down to the bar and also near the bathrooms!!! I will understand if you are late and the place is full. But, the place is 20% full. I said to him that we would prefer another table near a window or a corner. And for him to reply, they are all been reserved Sir !!! Incroyable. If you make a reservation at Decca77. Make sure you have the seating chart and you ask for the table that you want. You can end up near the bathrooms even if the place is empty."

  • "My wife and I ate at the brasserie before the Candiens-Avalanche game. We sat upstairs for the first time and found it a bit noisier than downstairs. The food was excelloent as usual - the winter chowder was one of the better clam chowders I have had in Montreal - full of clams,, ham and with a wonderfully rich broth. The only downside was that my wifes streak with bernaise sauce came with a red wine reduction instead. The waiter wads very apologetic and siad that the kitchen has "run-out" of bernaise and that they would not charge for the steak. These things happen and I was impressed with the tacticful, attentive way it was handled. We will certainly return."

  • "Decca77 was the perfect choice on a cold winter's evening when 4 of us celebrated a belated birthday before a show at the Bell Centre. The winter chowder was an absolute standout, as was the stuffed aubergine, trout and burger, and the sausage starter. Wine selection by the glass, which is often lacklustre at restaurants, was also fine. And the fact that the staff understands your time constraints is a big plus. All around, a very good experience including value for money which is a pleasant bonus."

  • "Party of 6. we were put upstairs at the Brasserie side. Place was empty. Food was mediocre. Lack of ambiance. Food and wine overpriced. Service was good. a very disappointing experience. Will not go back."

  • "I made a reservation for this restaurant thinking it was the brasserie. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the food or the pricing."

  • "Hello, 5 hours from Val-d'Or to Montreal, me and my partner have decided to book for dinner last Saturday in a good restaurant, we've chose the Decca 77, an excellent choice."
    Dined on 2/15/2014
  • "We may have chosen a bad evening (day after Valentine's day and a major snow fall). I am would like to try the restaurant again on a regular Saturday when the table d'hôte is available before making up an opinion or recommending the restaurant."
    Dined on 2/15/2014
  • "We went for valentines day. It was a fixed selection tasting menu. I dont eat shellfish and they made me some dishes that were not part of the tasting menu. Food was top notch, service was great, waiters were attentive without being in your face. Highly recommdnded!!"
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "Great place when attending a concert at the Bell center. Free valet parking for the evening. Good food and great service before and after the show! It is a must!"

  • "I was there before a hockey game at Bell Center, and was very disappointed that on events nights at Bell center there is "no Table d'Hôte"menu anymore.High prices,we ordered red wine by the glass who was very cold,we always had to ask the waiter for things, butter, salt and Pepper,etc... I used to go there before an event at Bell Center, but I wont anymore..."
    Dined on 2/4/2014
  • "When booking this reservation I would have appreciated the heads up on the fact that only 3item choices were available per course. This was a new process for our group, where as the food was outstanding. Thanks it was a special occasion for our family of 6."

  • "I had a 17:00 reservation and prior to this was called inquiring if I was going to the game at the Bell Center and confirmed that I was I don't know what was worse the service or the game but both were extremely poor. I received my plate Salmon tartar at 18:40 20 minutes before the game with salad instead of fries as ordered though all this was ordered at 17:15 The appetizer arrived promptly but the main dish I would have had time to shower, S... and shave before getting it. And this is on the Brasserie side !!!"
    Dined on 1/25/2014
  • "This restaurant keeps getting better, for the food of course, which is the main point. I had a delectable Osso Bucco, mouthmelting... However, I felt rushed by the server who took the Drinks order and food order all within 30 seconds of our sitting, when we were not in any rush whatsoever. Also, the little rabbit appetizer was minuscule, which certainely did not look like a 16$ plate. The wine by the glass was good and reasonably priced. I will go again for sure."

  • "The restaurant sections offers a good "Table d'Hôte". The ambiance at lunchtime is quiet and perfect for a business lunch. The appetizers and entrees are small portions compared to the size of the desserts. The food it very good and the wine list offers a nice selection. Overall, it met my expectations."
