I eat out quite a lot, inside and outside of the country, and am a huge foodie. I discovered Decarli when looking for a spot to go with a foodie guy I was dating at the time. He didn't last, but my esteem for this place has! I take anyone who visits me from out of town, have taken many many friends and recommend it to anyone who will listen. I have yet to get a negative review and many people have said that some of the best meals of their lives have been here. The staff is SO wonderful, so welcoming and knowledgeable. The staff was very nice and enthusiastic and the food was amazing. We took a friends suggestion to heart and split all the meals, that way we were able to try the bruscetta, salad and soup and went on to have the most fabulous spareribs with spaetzle. That way there was even room for a brownie dessert. We will definitely be back, especially with friends in town. The food is absolutely incredible, the drinks are inventive and tasty, and the waiters are friendly and willing to share their opinions on what on the menu for that day. It has the ambiance and style of a Pearl District restaurant, but has the substance to back it up, without the pretension. The charcuterie plate was very good, too. My entree was just ok. The NY strip was tender and cooked MR as ordered, but otherwise ho-hum.
