  • "Disappointing. Made reservations for 2:15.Specifically inquired about the quality & quantity of food that would be available, as this is towards the end of brunch. Was assured that it would be fantastic. Waited over 30 minutes to get seated-food was dwindling. Asked on several occasions for items to be refilled at the buffet. Their "claim-to-fame" for the Easter Brunch..Crab Cakes were no longer available. Began clearing buffet (3:45ish) while several guests were in dining area. Stated that they had to get ready for their dinner service at 5:00. Manager took our drinks off the check but, did not take the drinks off the check of the party that we were dining with!"

  • "Dean's is such a comfortable atmosphere, quiet and calm. I appreciated so much that it did not have blaring music. My husband and I go out to eat and do like to talk to each other! But, some restaurants think they have to have loud upbeat music playing loudly in the background and this prevents hearing your dinner partner's speech. Our server, David, was so knowledgeable and we took a lot of his recommendations. The Scottish Salmon and the Swordfish specials were scrumptious. The service was prompt and we never lacked for attention! "

  • "only two good things to say about Dean's seafood first the server I feel sorry for her she was very adequate polite and professional. We had the fried seafood combinations little confused when it came out on cloth napkins on our plates very dark but not chrispy not tasty at all. Mac and cheese was overcooked not very much cheese. The other good thing I can say is yhry had great drink specials drinks were good and the banana bread pudding was very good. Overall we will not visit again."

  • "The food was excellent! The general manager was outstanding. The wait staff needs improvement. It took almost ten minutes to receive our cocktails. The waitress did not check back to get our order until the drinks arrived. Many of the waitresses were just wondering around and mingling wih each other and were not attentive to the dinners. They need to be better managed. The drinks tasted great but were extremely weak. Not worth the $12. You will increase your profits if you increase your bar service. Food was outstanding. Fish was excellent. Side dishes were excellent. Please just improve the service. "

  • "Our first visit to Dean's was about 3 months ago. I was disappointed in my seafood meal, did not taste fresh just simply not good. They were very cordial about this and gave us dicounted coupons for another visit. We did return on April 11 th evening and both my husband and myself had steaks and the vegtable sides were fresh and amazing. The steaks were cooked just right and we were both very pleased with this dining experience. We will be back!!!"

  • "The serving area is way too crowded. They did not have enough wait staff. The brunch selection was not consistent with the price they charge. They were also very slow in replenishing the food. The dessert selection was comical. They need to figure out the logistics better - people were bumping into each other and causing frustration."

  • "Tried this restaurant because of the reviews in opentable. The salads were fresh and crisp. The entrees (broiled sea bass and broiled scallops) were juicy and cooked to perfection. They were not dried out or rubbery, which is the main problem, especially with scallops. The only unfortunate thing was that the mac and cheese was only pedestrian. It was good, but nothing about it stood out about it. Something like green onions or chives, or a spice like dill would step the dish up a step or two. I would eat there again, when I am in the area."

  • "My husband and I have had dinner at Dean's on four occasions. Each time one of us would have a meal which was of fair to poor in quality. An example would be a risotto dish with shrimps and scallops. Rather than the expected creamy rice dish, it was instead more of a broth with rice and about 3 pieces of seafood swimming in the brown mess. I could not eat it. The Remy sidecar I ordered was horrible and in glass of ice - not the sweet/tart drink shaken and in a martini glass. I sent the cocktail back. The next martini special for the restaurant was undrinkable."

  • "This is a terrific spot for Sunday Brunch Buffet. We made a reservation, and got a lovely booth right away. We didn't have to wait. The condiments are all at the table, so didn't have to ask for any. Great service - excellent choice of food for all tastes. We were able to talk without straining to hear. Lovely décor. Buffet foods easily accessible. Staff so polite and helpful. I have check the above categories that we know about, but I am sure many others apply. There were a number of kids, but they were all so well behaved, and I think the design of the restaurant helps that."

  • "We ate here on a Friday at 7pm. We were halfway through our salads when the entrees were brought out, way too soon. We felt like we were being rushed through the meal so they could get to the next seating. I ordered a fish called Opah which I wasn't familiar with. It was pan-seared and sliced. The waitress hadn't asked how I wanted it cooked or advised that it would be served undercooked. It was raw and tough in the middle. Had to send it back to be cooked more. Overall the food was good, so if they educate the wait staff on how to time the courses and explain the menu better, we would be likely to return and to recommend to friends."

  • "Ideal mix menu, as Wife and I were wanting some good fresh fish and kids not so much. Great fresh Blue Point Oysters, and the the Sea Bass my wife had was real tasty. I have the pan seared tuna and it was awesome. Kids loved there meals as well, as they are a tad picky as kids can be. Great side salad with meal, and also the sides were all good and the French fries were awesome. Great wine and great service made it a great experience all the way around. The Manager was engaged and participating in our care. We will will return, and recommend. TRY THIS PLACE OF YOU HAVENT as the bar is classy and a really nice area, and Resturant is a good family place. Food for everyone."

  • "Great service, great bar menu, good menu - Biggest gripe with this place is the price. You are paying $27 for a small piece of Tuna that you could grab for $7 a lb at the grocer. Raw oysters were good, but at $17 for 6 very small oysters - was WAY overpriced. For the overall price I would rather visit Nana's."

  • "I've been to Dean's several times and the key to having a great experience is ordering anything seafood. If you love fresh seafood prepared just perfectly-you'll be happy. If you want something super breaded or over-sauced then you might have a harder time appreciating them. The wait staff are very attentive and knowledgeable. The atmosphere strikes just the right balance between comfortable and fancy. Kids menu is extensive and desserts are homemade."

  • "We waited over 20 min for dessert alone (only ordered 2 desserts of Chocolate Sample & Creme Brûlée) . The irony was that it came right out of the fridge! We had to return the Creme brûlée to the kitchen for them to make the sugar crunchy instead of cold & soft. Usually, the service & food is better than that. Beet salad had about 5 small pieces (2 OZ) of beets over plate full of arugula. Dish needs to be renamed as Arugula Salad - not beet salad. They offered about a dozen choices of sauces for the seafood. Several were really good but several were just lame sauces that came out of a bottle at your local grocer. Ex: mango chili sauce had NO mango & was cheap sweet chili sauce from a bottle. On a positive note, the entrees were good."
