de Santos - ManhattanAmazing brunchEven though the place is only open at 11AM on Saturdays and Sundays, it's a great option for lunch and brunch. They have a great outdoor place, but it was booked for event, so we were sitting inside. Amazing food, and great coffee. Make sure to check prefix menu for the brunch, worth it!
Thank you guys!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulousThe tuna tartare was so yummy. Great place, perfect sized portions. incredible menu and the outside space was lovely.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was very good. It wasFood was very good. It was a fun hotspot the night we went (sat. night). But it was def noisy and hard to hear one another. If you are looking for a fun lively hotspot then I totally recommend. There is a cute outside garden. Will def. go back when its warmer out!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMGood date spot.Great food & serviceWaiting for a friend, I got to chat with Eric (bartender) who was very friendly and also informed me of their Monday happy hour. Upon my friend's arrival, we were seated right away. The waiter was attentive w/ water/bread served immediately. My friend loved the look of the space; intimate & cozy.
For food, we ordered the Truffle Mac n Cheese as an appetizer, Shrimp Spinach Fettuccine and Rack of Lamb. You can def taste the truffle on the Mac n Cheese. It was decadent but a bit too liquidy (not sure how else to describe it) for my taste. I was delighted by the curry flavors of the pasta. Delicious and light! The rack of lamb perfectly cooked. Overall great food and good service.
It's a good date spot or a place to catch up with frie4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolutely love De SantosAbsolutely love De Santos for weekend brunch w/my friends. The artwork on the walls and decor is great. The food is delicious, especially the burger. The brunch cocktails are tasty and I like that there are plenty of drinks to choose from with the unlimited drink brunch deal... which is such a good deal! The staff is very friendly and attentive.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMI almost dont want to wrteI almost dont want to wrte anything too good for fear that this little secret will get out :)4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMMy family and I had dinnerMy family and I had dinner at this restaurant on a Saturday night. We made this reservation well in advance, and arrived about 10 minutes early. The hostess was EXTREMELY rude and sat us at a table in the bar saying that there were no other tables, when really just looking around the room there were several empty tables. The manager saw where the hostess had seated us and immediately moved us to a much better table, as the first table was impossible to have dinner at and remained empty for the rest of the night (clearly the hostess had zero intelligence).
The food was good overall. I would recommend the duck tacos, tuna tartare, and the grilled branzino.
Apart from the awful hostess it was a good dinner.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThe bread at the beginningThe bread at the beginning is amazing... and so is the $55 ricotta gnudi with truffles (basically it's gnocchi) - but it's a really small portion... so if you can justify ordering a small $55 pasta dish go for it- my boyfriend and i split it as an appetizer. the chicken potpie was amazing... i hate peas, and i love that it didn't have peas in it. also the peanut butter bar for dessert was delish. very expensive restaurant, but delicious food4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good-the beef carpaccioVery good-the beef carpaccio was fantastic! Energetic and fun Friday night scene.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMI love De Santos. EverytimeI love De Santos. Everytime we come, it is delicious + has great service. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, and the food was phenomenal. We will definitely be back!3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunch Galore! We booked a week before to join the all-you-can-drink brunch for $36. Great service, energetic atmosphere and superb food make this place one of my favourites. I had the steak sandwich with truffle fries, very tasteful. The alcohol kept flowing for over 2 hours with a good selection of bloody mary's, peach bellinis and mimosas. Highly recommended for a energetic brunch with larger groups.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
