The problem is often times you pay more and don't feel you are getting the "finer things". At De Novo we did. We had a party of 8 and our server was David. He was great, very attentive and had all the info on drinks and specials. The starters were perfect for sharing and everyone enjoyed their meal. Yes it took some time for each course to come out but it is supposed to. That's what happens when the kitchen is actually cooking your food and not just reheating it. Very trendy, much larger inside than it would appear. The mac and cheese was sinfully good and the cheese plate had a nice selection. I loved the spiced candied pecans on my mixed green salad. I had the center cut ribeye and was pleased with the seasoning. My wife had the Chilean Sea Bass and said it was excellent. Other people in the party had the Beef Wellington, Duck, Chicken Under a Brick and the Triple Threat Pork Sandwich. Everyone was extremely happy with the presentation and taste of their dishes. For dessert, my two daughters split a rich Godiva Dark Chocolate selection that they finished with a flourish. The food, service, staff and musicians were all wonderful. I had read another review about the band being too loud for their large group conversation, but I would have to disagree. The band was perfect and the volume was just right.
