Our waiter was friendly and very knowledgeable about all aspects of the menu and wine list. To be fair, we only ordered the salad a Medici, which was simple yet delicious, calamari appetizer and the fettuccine bolognese. The calamari was Fried, but not seasoned too much, so not too much flavor. The bolognese, while adequate also was a bit on the bland side. it was a fine dinner, but not particularly outstanding. I suspect had we had time for more specialty dishes, we might have a better overall view of the food. Our servers were competent and entertaining in a charming way. On several occassions they prepared our course tableside. On the evening we were there, the restaurant was full of large tables of business associates. On a quieter evening, this restaurant would be ideal for a romantic meal or a special occasion. We ordered the Caesar salad, salmon al limone, and gnocchi - all were DELICIOUS. For dessert, we ordered the tiramisu, the cannoli, and the sorbet with berries - again, delicious. The desserts looked beautiful and freshly prepared. It continues to be the best restaurant in San Diego with impecable service.
