The pasta dishes were excellent. After being seated, our server was at our table within 5 minutes. However, as he was responsible for at least 6 tables, we saw him less and less. At times we had to ask the bus boy and other wait staff to find him for us. This was our first time at DC Pasta and we would return because we thought the food is worth another visit. Perhaps it was an off night for our server.

I love the idea that you can have small portions which is great to allow for a full menu (salad, entree, dessert). It also helps when you cannot decide between entrees, just get both! The atmosphere is very relaxing, servers were attentive and had great suggestions on the menu, great place for authentic Italian.

First time at DC Pasta. We were asked what table we would like. He quietly pointed out the if we sat in the back that there were children there. I picked a different table and thanked him for the information. Kurt was our waiter very friendly and explained the menu. He suggested a great tasting wine. What my husband and I enjoy was the tasters. We have 3 different pastas. The were all great. We are looking forward to go back and try more tasters. Highly worth the visit. In a small shopping plaza easy to pass up.

The 1st time I was here the pasta was incredible. I cannot say that for my visit in Friday night. A group of 4 of us tried 5 different pastas - the pasta was bland as were the 5 different preparations/sauces. The waiter was sloppy & not attentive. Overall very disappointing considering how fantastic the para used to be.

    D. C. Pasta is one of my favorite places to go when I want pasta. They offer three sizes: the taste which is a perfect size when you want to try two or three different pastas; appetizer which is plenty for a meal; and dinner which is a very good size portion. The polenta is a must appetizer every time I go there.

My wife and I love this place. It has a very good vegetarian selection and the food is really nice. The three sizes are a nice touch and allows us to try a dish before we order the main or appetizer size. Due wish it was more visible to attract more customers. Would recommend it to all of my friends as an alternative to the standard corporate affair. IE Olive Garden, Macaroni Grille, etc.

If you want a nice meal, a pleasant setting and a chance to catch up with your partner or a friend, this is a fantastic choice. We chose to go at the last minute, and easily secured a table using the Open Table app. Once there, our service was attentive and top notch. You can't go wrong with any of the pasta options. I usually get two small tastes, while my husband is fine with an appetizer portion plus one of their fabulous meatballs. The chopped salad is also a favorite and extremely fresh and flavorful. Good wine options and most of all, you can talk without yelling and share a nice meal catching up with each other.

The marinated artichokes, mushrooms and eggplant were tasty, and all 4 pastas we tried were excellent. Full of flavor and with an interest at addition of items I would not have tried before. Lamb meatball was excellent and surprisingly light. The salad was very dry and was basically a plate of lettuce with a tablespoon of cheese, but the waiter kindly brought us some veggies and more dressing, which definitely helped. Our server topped it all off with his quick wit and frequent attention. We will be back.

The food was excellent! However the service was not as good as the food, they also do a terrible job of bringing out drinks, it took 25 minutes to get our drink order after we sat down. I do not know if they even have a bartender, possibly the servers make their own drinks. we will go back because the food is very good but it won't be one of our regular dining spots, and next time we will not order a cocktail before dinner, we'll just order wine.D

Quality of food ws outstanding. The options on portion sizes of pasta allows foodies to order several tasting portions to share. Still plenty filling and had leftovers. Marinara is fresh and obviously not from a jar. Meatballs can also be sampled. Wish the entrees were also offered in at least 2 if not the 3 portion sizes. The only negative was salads are basically lettuce and lack the characteristic of rest of menu items. Love the white bean spread for the bread also. Desserts also obviously made on sight.

We appreciate the wonderful food at DC Pasta, returning fairly frequently. Folks are friendly, but our service was inconsistent, due mainly to lack of communication and paying attention. My wife has dietary restrictions, usually accommodated well at DC., but our server was in such a hurry that he and the kitchen did not communicate. The chicken came out "naked" rather than with modest adjustments to meet my wife's needs. The server seemed confused, despite our efforts. When the check arrived, it was for another table's order. The adventure was not limited to our table. Our neighboring table had bread, silver, etc. removed before they had received their entrees. We all laughed, but the serving staff really does need to pay better attention.

The food and service was excellent. I was surprised to see on a Saturday night at 7:30/8 pm we were only one of a handful of occupied tables. It has probably been 8 months since our last visit to DC Pasta - last time we were there it was standing room only. I don't know what has happened but something needs to be done to increase traffic.

Overall food options were terrific for an Italian meal. The concept of small plates and mix-and-match appetizers works well, especially combined with the quality of the food. Service was great. We occasionally visit the area and this was our first visit to DC Pasta, based on other reviews - we were not disappointed. Will definitely return when back in the Cleveland area.

Our party of four visited DC Pasta on Saturday, August 30, 2014. We had outstanding service, with a friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive waiter. The food was also outstanding. Our party of four tried a combination of entrees and small plates and there was not a loser in the bunch. As might be expected, the pasta dishes were best of all, with freshly made pasta and wonderful sauces, including a meaty strozzapreti bolognese (pig-tale shaped pasta with meat sauce) and a flavorful spaghetti alle vongole (featuring clams, Italian parsley, garlic, and white wine). Other winners were a meat-filled cannelloni entree and the cotolette alla valdostana (veal cutlet, ham, and fontina cheese).

We have always loved DC Pasta! They're homemade pasta is fresh and delicate and perfectly matched with the sauces. They're polenta is out of this world!! The salads are outstanding also, however, this last time they WWWWAAYYYY oversalted it. But that was unusual. The mussels and polenta apps were out of this world! Make sure you get extra bread to soak up the sauce!!! Can't miss here!

A group of us went out for a birthday dinner & wine. The wine was excellent as was our server Kurt. I would have put the food at very good but the linguine with clam sauce was a huge disappointment. It was cooked pasta with a few clams, lacked seasoning and there was zero sauce- for that I could have made that dish at home. Otherwise the food was very good. I was surprised that the owner or part owner "Johnny" was there seating customers in a dirty ill fitting polo shirt- he looked like he was a landscaper at the end of his day. Please for the sake of your customers come to work clean, and dressed properly. You will find a busier restaurant, we were there at 6:30 with a decent crowd but it became a very empty dinning room at 8:30.

I had high hopes after reading the reviews for this restaurant. Loved the menu choices, but after trying 4 different entrees between us, we all agreed that their dishes simply aren't that flavorful. We've been to very similar restaurants who executed their menu better. I'm guessing it may have to do with the quality of their ingredients. I will say the apricot mustard was fabulous! However this was a one time visit for us.

I did a search for a new restaurant and found this place. The feel and atmosphere of the restaurant was very relaxing. I loved the tasting menu. In fact everyone in our group had the selections off of the tasting menu and we all shared our options. The Eggplant Croquettes were suggested by our server and were great. What a great experience. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to try a few new things or someone that has a hard time making up their mind. Service was perfect we were not rushed in the least. Our server was not overpowering or over the top. He seemed to show up at just the right time.

I've been to DC Pasta before and, as always, the food is delicious. You can order the pasta in three different sizes, so it's fun and easy to order tastes of many variations and share them around the table. Meatballs can also be ordered a la carte. The atmosphere is casual and the decor is clean and uncluttered. A good place to go for really good, reasonably priced fresh pasta. The server was abrupt and a little annoying, but it didn't ruin the experience.
