Loved it!The food was amazing, the service was exceptional and the ambience was lovely. We had a wonderful time! Daniel Boulud never fails.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent! As usual...I come here to eat whenever I'm in town. Never fails. Great place, great food and great service.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday BrunchI brought my boyfriend here for brunch and he loved every bite and so did I! Lovely place, we will definitely come back!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAfter an initially poor seatAfter an initially poor seat assignment (notwithstanding an early reservation), we were offered a change and thereafter the dining experience soared. Kudos to the manager handling the dining room, who remained cool as a cucumber in the face of an annoyed patron under Mother's Day Brunch conditions.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMbirthday party funWe came to NYC from Vancouver with a group of friends. This place fit the bill for a big group -- fun, good food, and lots of wine. Well priced too.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGenerally solid experienceHad dinner with two work colleagues on a Wednesday night. We had a vegetarian, a beer snob, and a wine drinker. All were satisfied (even the vegetarian at this sausage-centric kitchen). Attentive service that knew when to pay attention and when to leave us be.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat placebeen coming here for years. Would definitely recommend.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect lunch spot in the cityWow!! That's all I can say.
Everything was perfect. And they gave us complimentary desert for our anniversary!!!
Not sure if you can find a better burger and fries anywhere. And the spicy Dijon sauce for the fries was insane!!!
Can't wait to come back.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently delicious andConsistently delicious and always great for lunch meetings. wonderful service, food & atmosphere.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMI thought the food was a greatI thought the food was a great value but the cocktails a poor value; we tried 4 and only truly enjoyed 1 of them, while all food items that we got (particularly the burgers and ice cream) were very enjoyable.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing array of choices,Amazing array of choices, best "hot dogs & burgers", fun drinks, great time4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food, fantasticExcellent food, fantastic service, in a very lively but fun atmosphere. The seafood plateau was terrific. The burgers great. The Bloody Mary's were excellent--fresh horseradish makes a real difference--and the muscadet was one of the best I've ever had. Megan was superb at taking care of our group--thank you! The only complaint--minor and fixed immediately both times it has come up-- is that the hot fudge on the ice cream was really skimpy when it came out, which we thought was odd for such a generous and welcoming place.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMMeat lover's dream.Food and service was great. The decor is very chic and the crowd is young and hip. Best to share lots of small plates. Amazing wine list. The sommelier was extremely nice and very helpful.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing Food & BuzzThis was my first visit to DBGB and I will be going back soon. The food was amazing, the piggy burger was out of this world and the Thai sausage captured every single favour you would expect to find in a Thai dish. I don't know how they do it but you have to try it to know what I'm taking about. The dinning room is very good, large and buzzy with a great ambiance, what a would call a real NY restaurant.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was good but not amazingFood was good but not amazing
Lobster sandwich had too much sauce and the tarragon was overpowering
Service was perfect... Burgers were very good but a bit dry..
Very nice dining experience4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday dinner at DGBGWe had a family (7 people) birthday dinner, including two grandchildren, both boys, one 13 and one 10. The server could not have been more obliging, arranging for absolutely plain cheeseburgers and fries for the boys and providing a seemingly endless supply of sodas.
We liked the seating which is set up for maximum privacy yet no crowding.
All the adults thought the menu was really interesting with a number of items that you don't see everywhere - the roasted carrot salad was particularly good. We would definitely go back.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the best restaurantsOne of the best restaurants in east village.
Always looking forward next dinner, lunch or breakfast at DBGB!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMTheir food is delicious.Their food is delicious. The servers are knowledgeable and friendly.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother great Boulud restaurantThis was my third time at DBGB. As usual, the food and service were superb. It's a huge space and very lively, so it's not for quiet conversation or romance, but my friend and I had a good, large table near the open kitchen where we could watch the entertaining activity of the chefs turning out the inventive and delicious dishes. I don't know if it's quieter in an off-hour, but we were there for brunch at 12:15 and, although there were many tables empty at the front of the house, the middle and back spaces were filled with couples and large groups all in a party mood. There were families with young children, but all were well-behaved. Many of the dishes are difficult to find elsewhere, so you are never stuck with boring choices.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMA hip place with an interesting,A hip place with an interesting, well priced menu. Appreciated a kid-friendly portion of the flat iron steak special for our son & his friend.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMFood - very good to excellent.Food - very good to excellent. This place was *hopping* from the time I got there (7:30pm) to the time I left (11pm). It was really a bit too loud for my taste, but it was a Saturday night so I knew that was going to be the deal. If you are with a large-ish group, try to get one of the banquettes up against the wall in the main dining room - those looked a little quieter, and more intimate.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful and beautiful brunchWonderful and beautiful brunch spot. This was our first brunch experience in NYC and it was a wonderful, quiet, unique and comfortable environment to catch up with friends who were visiting from out of town. The wait staff was very attentive and helpful. I would definitely go back!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMInterior colors, design andInterior colors, design and layout is genius! Wine storage on sides, booths and proximity to the kitchen add to the allure. DB's hit a home run!3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Food, Tiny PortionsWe had a great brunch at DBGB last weekend. The food was spectacular from a very well thought-out menu. My only criticism was that for the price, I wish the portions were larger. I am 6ft and 150 pounds. I wear skinny jeans and even I had go get a slice of pizza afterwards so that I wasn't hungry. All I ask is that you feed me and don't tease me with small portions of amazing food :).3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing Sausages...Noisy PlaceThe sausages are amazing as well as the side dishes. The restaurant is nice and modes but a bit too noisy for me.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMgreatI love that they have excellent menu selections, beer, wine. Food was outstanding. The wait staff very attentive. My friends and I enjoyed our dinner & would definitely come back & recommend this place to our family & friend.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Pre Show mealHad a very nice dinner before going to a show on Broadway. Delicious food interesting beer and wine selection and a beautiful restaurant.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother Boulud Gem!DBGB is yet another fine experience in the Boulud set of restaurants. Even though my friend's burger needed to be re-fired twice, our waiter was wonderful, apologetic, funny, and ultimately comped the meal. The sausages and pastas were terrific, and the ambiance was very cool. Decently priced aka well worth the trip!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMBeautiful restaurant! Be sureBeautiful restaurant! Be sure to get a reservation since this place is always packed.
Got sausages and burgers :) Very very happy. If you don't mind spending $15 on a hot dog, this is a great place with fantastic beer selection. Everyone in my party liked it and I have to say the service here is so superb. Very seamless, quick, and wait staff makes good recommendations. 5 stars! Will be back3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMNice place. Some food stellar!DBGB is a beautiful restaurant. For those looking for a great dining atmosphere, it is right on the money. The service was spot on as well.
The food is what you care about though.
The celery root soup, which my wife had as an appetizer on the 3 course lunch menu was phenomenal. Seriously, it was the single best 2 spoon-fulls of soup I have ever had. I had the pate as my appetizer, and though the fresh bread with it was great, it was way too cold. Almost to the point of frozen. The flavor was so muted by the temperature, it left some to be desired.
I had the frenchie burger, which would have been great, but it was covered in spicy mustard. Which I love. So much though, it was all I could taste. Very sad.
Still, nice enough place.3/1/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent restaurantI just love this place. I have never been disappointed to the point that had my bachelorette party here. The food is so delicious (the pre-brunch sweets are so good) and the service is on point. Everytime I am disappointed by another brunch spot I always come back to this place. You will not be disappointed!2/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWent for restaurant week andWent for restaurant week and enjoyed the menu. Sausage was superb and the dessert was spectacular. There is a large and varied drink menu covering cocktails, wine and beer with lots of options in each. Ambiance is pub hall style but with Daniel Boulud flair. A little pricey for what you get if you aren't there during restaurant week but still a very nice place to grab a drink on the lower east side.2/5/2013 12:00:00 AMHighly professional serviceHighly professional service in a charming environment.
