DBGB is Chef Daniel Boulud's downtown restaurant specializing in bangers, burgers, and beer. We offer house-made sausages, burgers, and all in addition to seasonal Lyonnais-inspired bistro cooking. For beer lovers, there are 22 drafts to choose from and another 75 by-the-bottle. The interiors pay homage to the Bowery's history as New York's restaurant supply neighborhood. Try our $27 prix-fixe for brunch on weekends. For dinner, we offer a daily $38 prix-fixe. Finally, our private room hosts parties for up to 18 people with a view of all the live action in our kitchen! Continued

  • "I had a reserve to 8:15pm and when I arrived there there was no table available and the hostess told me to wait in tbe bar as I had no reservation. I asked the manager to talk to me. First came another woman that told that she was a manager to try to explain to me why I did not have a table available in my reservation hour. After that she put me un one table. When I arrived in the table I saw aome tables availables and I came back to talk to the manager but a this time there was a man that told me that he was the manager and tried to explain me what happened. It is quite different a restaurant had two managers working at the same time. I realy did not like the way they managed the situation with me abd my girlfriend. "

Bar: I forget the bartenders name but we shared a special moment over tequila and mezcal. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Everyone was so attentive and happy. We'll be back for more!"

  • "The food tasted great. However, it felt like a tease because the portions were small. We left, not hungry, but we definitely felt we were not satisfied with the amount of food served. Don't go to this restaurant really hungry. We liked our waiter. It was really nice that the birthday girl was given a desert on the house. However, we got billed for the said desert and had to ask the waiter to take the charge off the bill. It turned s nice gesture into an unpleasant event. We were also overcharged for a desert ordered. The restaurant has good reputation so we expected more."

A reviewer on another site called this place a "glorified hot dog stand" and they couldn't have been more wrong! This restaurant has something for every taste. Wait staff is very attentive and made the evening for our group. Can't wait to go back to NYC and DBGB again!"

  • "First time we went to DBGB was during restaurant week and really enjoyed ourselves - excellent food, good service, though really noisy. Second time only brunch menu was available, and it was rather uninspired - not much flavor despite good ingredients. We waited for our entree for over 30 minutes. After that we could not get anybody's attention to get dessert and coffee. After 3 attempts, we got the check only after we started putting on the coats. Too bad - DBGB is really convenient for Public Theatre, which we frequently attend."

  • "This restaurant knows how to season food so that you taste a play on sweet, salty, tart, spicy, and smoky---hmm, hmm good. Presentation was excellent and they served portions that you could eat in one sitting (no need for a doggy bag). This was eating--an expression on artful seasoning served with waist-friendly portions that isn't overbearing on your tummy. The salmon was perfectly crispy and well-marinated; the white mushroom mixed with the green sauce was a delictable treat with the cous cous. Highly recommended!"

  • "i arrived early for our 5pm reservation in hopes that we would be seated promptly, since the dining room was empty. (they open at 5). they wouldn't seat us until 5:17 because "the waiters were having a meeting" and since we had a show to go to, that hurt our schedule a bit. i sprung for the 42 dollar steak, because i assumed for that price it would be done right. when it finally arrived, the medium-rare was served to me medium-well, which means it didn't really have much flavor and was quite dry. since we were on a tight schedule, i just had to eat it. i've eaten here before and it was good, which is why i gave it three stars, but they need to get their service level up to the standard that i know daniel bouloud would want. Staff was nice!"

  • "Visiting New York for the weekend and stopped in for Sunday brunch. It was amazing! Two in our group did the prix fixe and it was a great value. The leek soup was amazing, one of the best things ever tasted. I tried the Vermont sausage to start and it was so tasty. The sausage was cooked to perfection and the flavours were expertly combined. The waffle was so tasty! And everything was reasonably priced. They had an excellent selection of cocktails as well!"

The food was quite ok, but the noise level and music was extreme and that turned the whole experience to a negative one, it was simply impossible to hear eachother at the table. We tried to politely point this out, but only got a "thanks for your feedback" response."

  • "DBGB is definitely one of a kind! My boyfriend and I had a great time! The waiter was very attentive and answered any questions we had about the menu and wines. I was able to have a conversation without having to talk loud. We loved the quality and taste of the pasta (which we ordered), and the creative way the snails were interpreted (instead of the traditional garlic and butter variety). It was definitely impressive and the dessert was the perfect ending to a perfect meal."

  • "My server was exception however when we asked to move from a table to a booth, the manager came over and made up an excuse about needing the table in 45 minutes. She said if you want to scarf down the food and leave, you can sit there. She then sat 3 parties at booths who were all there 45 minutes later. Past that, she was rude and not polite. Past this, a wonderful experience."
