What a find! This is another Daniel Boulud standout. We shared a Bordeaux Sausage with lentils as an appetizer and have to go back again for more, always a sign of a great restaurant. We then had hamburgers which were perfectly done and so flavorful This is a very informal restaurant with great food, fabulous service (filled our water glasses when they were half full) and a fun filled evening.

We went here for brunch on Saturday, and service was a little slow throughout our meal. Drinks and food were overpriced in our opinion, although our florentine benedicts were delicious. The bill was much higher than we expected it to be, we won't be returning here.

I am from Atlanta, and we decided to meet friends from NY at DBGB. My husband and I had not seen these friends for a while, so most of our time was spent catching up. Our server was never pushy or impatient although we did not order our entrees until probably an hour after sitting down to our table. My friend and I had "The Frenchie" burger. It was pretty good, but if I went back I would get something different. The decor with the different chef's items was a conversation piece.

service was mediocre at best, we were 6, sat for 20 before we were asked to order drinks, then another 10 before they came, and 10 before we were asked to order. Small plates from Appys were left stacked on the table throughout the meal. lost napkins not replaced, had to ask for flatware when the entrees came. Food was ok, but the bread for the Croc Madamme was like sawing through cardboard, the eggs in the baked egg dish super greasy, the poached eggs in the bucheron had translucent whites. I felt like I was eating in a casino version of a good restaurant, or a franchised wolfgang puck spot. This place was top notch when it first opened under Jim Leiken's supervision, now its a B-

I found it better than Boulud Lincoln Center, though the menu is more limited. Big portions, rather than the nouvelle trickery. Good wines, too. Too noisy, but that's maybe just me who minds. Given the noise level I would cut out the music altogether.

I had been dying to go to DBGB for about two years now, but could never find a moment to go. Fortunately, I finally made a reservation for a Sunday brunch. There's outdoor seating, which I can only imagine to be wonderful in warmer weather, but my friend and I sat in the front room, which was more brightly lit than the backroom, nice for a Sunday early afternoon. The back was more like a French brasserie, and I would definitely choose to eat there for dinner. My friend and I split the Viennoiserie, and OH MY GOODNESS, the pastries were so warm and perfect. I felt like I had bought them fresh from a pastry shop in France. For my main dish, I ordered the Frenchie burger (cooked medium), and I would argue it's one of the best burgers in NYC.

I stumbled upon this place as it was round the corner from the apartment that we were staying in - am I glad that I did. From the cheery service at the bar, top notch cocktails, fabulous sommelier and out of this world food, this was a definitely unexpected highlight of our trip. the laid back nature of the service left us feeling unrushed. The food was incredible, I can recommend the Vermont sausage as an appetizer and the beef as a main, Simply out of this world, coupled with a well recommended punchy red wine and I was in food heaven. I cannot recommend highly enough - definitely should be on the Michelin inspectors radar. Tremendous.

There were 6 of us. Went there for a very early dinner before the show, 5pm. The food was very good, everyone was happy with their choices. The service was terrible. First it took the waiter a long time to take our order. Then everyone got their appetizer except for 1 person. We kept reminding the waiter that we had a show to catch. Finally he got his food. Then another waiter showed up and told us that the food was on its way. It wasn't...We almost missed our show. And it was very early, i wonder how long it takes for an 8 'clock meal.

This was the second time we had visited here when we came down to the city - food was excellent. Servers are constantly available and responsive and lively! Inventive ways to serve calssic and new twists on your favorite sausages. Vermont was bursting with cheddar cheese and tasty. Calamari was unlike that served in Boston, for example, but bursting with flavor. Even vegetable sides were excellent. Beer list was extensive and easy to choose from with excellent results. Would come again.

Came to DGBG for saturday brunch - hadnt been to place in a while as I live in the neighborhood and there are so many brunch options. For a sausage/beer restaurant, the legendary boulud service wasnt what i expected. This is not DB Bistro Moderne, for sure. I made a joke that didnt crack a smile to my server "the americano was so good, i had to order it twice" - nothing but dead air.

Great place for a downtown location and we did enjoy some of the appetizer selections but we struggled with the service. I had seen others comment on this before we went but decided to go anyway based on a recommendation from a friend. It can be an enjoyable meal but don't count on an above average service experience. The wait staff seems rushed. That said, the menu is interesting enough to give it a try.

Been here several times for dinner, first brunch. Walk in, empty Sat. Check in, hostess says we have to wait for our entire party to arrive before seating (clearly a sign of the "self important" restaurant). "Seriously, this place is completely empty..." so she seats us. Food is pricey for what you get, prob to carry numerous staff and large space. Some food is undercooked. Takes a while to have it replaced, not because of a slow kitchen, but because the staff is busy chit-chatting with each other. There are def better brunch places in NYC, but this place can accommodate a large group on short notice.

He came to pick up our plates, we had a late friend arrive and was told kitchen was closed- we had not yet ordered dessert. I brought friends from France & Montreal and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The bar was a great place for a drink prior to dinner and some people watching. I love the design and intensity of the main dining room at DBGB and wanted them to experience it. I always find DBGB an exciting place to eat in terms of food and ambience and this trip was no different. We had great food (burger, charcuterie, sausages) and a large format tripel - all were awesome. Another great meal - I will certainly be back.

I can't remember the last time I refused to leave a tip due to poor service. Every course was slow (how long does it take to plate a salad?) Granted it was prime time when we arrived (9:45 on a Friday night) but even the waiter started making excuses after we had waited over an hour. He started hovering (there were very few other people left in the restaurant) When the meals finally arrived only 3 out 4 showed up. The waiter was standing right there and didn't notice that the servers had neglected one of our party. H looked totally confused. Went back to the kitchen and said "your burger will be right out". 20 minutes later the rest of us were pretty much finished our meals. The manager came over and offered us take out.

we've been here twice in the last several weeks, ordered multiple apps, cocktails, wine and different mains. the food is consistently good, and the service is also attentive. the second time we obviously had a waiter who was very green, but we noticed right away that where he forgot to check in on our drinks, or explain certain specifics, the management picked up his slack. it's like they knew they might need to give extra attention to his tables until he learned the ropes. i thought that was fantastic. they were a little late in seating us for our reservation, but i didn't think that was the end of the world. we had a drink at the bar with our friends while we waited (bartender waited on us immediately, cocktails were well-made).

Our waiter helped my husband pick out a local beer and brought us each a taste of beer and wine we were contemplating unsolicited. She made insightful recommendations on our order to help us round out a nice balanced meal. The table for two was CLOSE to the other tables on either side - in the way they are in Manhattan - but for larger parties you could ask for a cozy booth. The noise level was so loud you could barely hear your dining partner speaking so good for foodie couple but maybe not for a first date, older people or friends wanting to catch up. Everything we ordered was amazingly good - the beets were divine, we loved the sausage, and the cavatelli with GENEROUS black truffle shavings were perfect. Make sure you make reservations!
