A word from DBGB Bar Room
This lively Bar leading to DBGB Kitchen and Bar's main dining room. To make a reservation in the main dining room, search "DBGB" on the Open Table main page. DBGB is Chef Daniel Boulud's downtown restaurant specializing in bangers, burgers, and beer. We offer 12 house-made sausages, mouthwatering burgers, and shellfish platters, all in addition to seasonal Lyonnais-inspired bistro cooking. For beer lovers, there are 22 drafts to choose from and another 75 by-the-bottle, plus a full wine list. At dessert dig into the classics: baked Alaska, soufflés and ice cream sundaes. The interiors pay homage to the Bowery's history as New York's restaurant supply neighborhood. During warmer months please make sure to join us for outdoor dining. At lunch try our $27 prix fixe, and on weekends our awesome brunch. For dinner we offer a daily $40 prix-fixe . Finally, our private room hosts parties for up to 18 people with a view of all the live action in our kitchen!

The DGBG is a perfect place to meet friends for drinks and dinner. WE made the trek down to the Bowery to meet friends and family and we were not disappointed. All of the food was fantastic and our server sent us a free baked alaska for the table at the end of a very long meal. The service was so spectacular, we all just loved it.

Tremendous addition to the East Village culinary scene. Creative and carefully crafted dishes of utmost quality with superb preparation and presentation. Unique and delectable menu offerings appealing to a wide variety of tastes. Service was well-timed and attentive, without being overly intrusive, allowing plenty of time for conversation and offering immediate responsiveness when we were ready to order and receive the check. Daniel's homage to the local punk scene in features like "Marky Ramone's Tomato Sauce" and the restaurant name itself, playing on the venerable CBGB name, is well respected by people who know the rich history of this colorful neighborhood. All in all...a great restaurant with a terrific downtown vibe.

Have wanted to try DBGB for ages and was glad to have the chance to go. Loved the fact that although the restaurant was booked up, we were able to secure a reservation in the bar (and although the restaurant area is lovely, it was crazy loud and we ended up being happier that we were seated in the bar area). Jennifer, our waitress, was terrific - we ordered a bunch of small plates, and she plotted out what should come out when, and it worked beautifully. Food was delicious, and there are many more items on the menu I want to try on future visits.

One of our party ordered their speciality - a sausage dish. It was not fully cooked and she sent it back. They did not charge us for any of our entrees which was an a more than outstanding way to handle the problem. We were amazed when we received the bill It was so low we thought we had gotten the wrong bill. The rest of our group enjoyed their meals.

This place has a great brunch/lunch selection and the quality of the food was great. I highly recommend any of their sausages as well as the hash browns. My only complaint was the service; it was typically disorganized and unattentive.

Great food - went for Thanksgiving and sat in the bar area so the menu was both prix fix and a la carte. Had a good selection of food but with the place being packed for the Holiday, service seemed annoyed when we were taking our time with our selections. Felt a little rushed to choose. Although the service wasn't stellar, I'd give it another shot as my food was delicious.

Frequent diner of DBGB, but first time for Thanksgiving. I brought my family from out of town, and DBGB was by far the highlight of their (and my) Thanksgiving! The food was absolutely incredible alongside the well known attentiveness of the waitstaff. DBGB holds true to their reputation of delivering a great dining experience! Well done, DBGB!

We have been to this restaurant half a dozen times. The food is always very good and the service staff friendly and attentive. However, this time it was way too long between courses and we couldn't quite tell why that would be as it was no busier than during other visits and our meals did not have components that would take extra time.

We have been to DBGB a few times before and had a great experience except this time. The food was great however our server was not that friendly. Once we were seated we had some time to look over the cocktail menu as well as the food menu. We felt as if she did not care to wait on us, she seemed to have a bit of an attitude and not very accomodating. As a former server/bartender and now currently in the hotel industry, I was rubbed the wrong way by the service that we received.

Had high hopes. Went for dinner at the bar room on Sunday evening. Not crowded at all, in fact the bar room was almost empty. Arrived around 7 and saw several tables with little kids, counted at least 3 strollers. Food was OK, though salty. But service was Terrible. Asked the waiter if I could try one of the wines. He pours me a taste and then promptly DISAPPERS! Hated the wine, but noone came to ask me if I would like a glass. Finally my boyfriend got up and went to the bar to ask for a different wine. They were out of my second choice, so I ended up ordering an overpriced, very common wine you can find at any neighborhood wine store. Will never go back.
