A word from DBGB
DBGB is Chef Daniel Boulud's downtown place where the French brasserie meets the American tavern. Come for the 14 varieties of house-made sausages from the Merguez to the Vermont. There's also seasonal Lyonnais inspired cooking alongside mouth watering burgers and towering shellfish platters. Wash
…
them down with great craft beers (22 on tap) and affordable table wines. For dessert dig into soul soothing classics: baked alaska, hot soufflés and ice cream sundaes laden with decadent sauces and toppings. The interiors take their cue from the Bowery's history as New York's industrial restaurant supply neighbourhood. Floor to ceiling shelving stocked with the restaurant's own tools, tableware and dry goods overlook a partially open kitchen. If you don’t find an online reservation please try our DBGB Bar Room for another dining option.

The service could improve. It was hard to get the attention of our server. Had to ask the busboy to call our waiter several times.

Bustling and slightly crowded, but with a very interesting interior and a lot of space, this place is a unique New York dining experience. Everything we tried was delicious and they have some very inventive things on the menu.

Food was good but I probably ordered wrong and missed the selections that make people so excited to come here. Atmosphere is great. Server made the whole experience a bummer. He seemed like he really didn't want to be there and having us ask him for suggestions on the menu was a drag. He likes "the duck" by the way no more no less description or even directing us to it on the menu. No help. We stuck with the pre-fix menu to be safe. Highlight was the asparagus and egg appetizer. With each course our server was at the table before we had time to lift the fork for the first time asking "how is everything" which was a surprise each time that we didn't have time to even taste it yet. Just lazy impersonal service ruined our enthusiasm.

DBGB is a fantastic restaurant on the Bowery that serves upscale casual fare at moderate prices given the very quality ingredients used in their dishes. In addition to some of the best burgers in the city, and quality charcuterie and seafood platters, there are always healthy but delicious fish options. We have been coming here since it opened and never tire of the the dining experience DBGB offers. Like at all of Daniel Boulud's restaurants, the food and service are held to the highest standard. Also, an amazing beer list not to be overlooked.

The food was yummy and just what we wanted, and the service was especially genial. We had some work to do, and they didn't mind that we took our time.

The best burger I had in NYC and also totally recommend the Sundaes. Don't come here if you are counting the calories but do come here if you enjoy good quality and very tasty comfort food!
