dbarAlways goodWe ate outside since the weather was still warm. The service was very good, however, the food did seem to take a long time to come out. And, my burger was cooked just over Medium, even though I had asked for Medium Rare. I didn't want to send it back since it had taken so long to arrive and didn't want to be out of sync with my fellow diners. (Also, I wouldn't recommend the "bacon" on the burger - it's really thick, which I imagine some foodies would like, but I'd rather have the household thin kind!) All the other dishes - more meal entrees, were wonderful. We were fortunate that evening as chef C. Coombs was on sight clearly overseeing the preparations. I personally feel he is an amazing chef and have yet to be disappointed in any of his venues. The home made charcuterie was delicious. The Weinerschnitzel was splendid, cooked perfectly and with an pleasant light sauce that paired so well with the wine being served. Each course was a treat for the palate.

Staff was ver attentive and friendly, and the food was great. I had a pork tenderloin dish that was extremely tasty and well presented. Good people watching. The place filled quickly on a Saturday night, and the noise level was certainly energetic, which made it a little hard to hear across the small table but pleasantly so. The only disappointment was not getting the table location that I had asked for in the online reservation, but the table we had was actually perfect for us. We were celebrating a birthday. One hour before the reservation time, 4 people cancelled, so we were down to a party of 3. dbar was more than friendly and accommodating. The 3 of us arrived and had a drink at the bar while a new table was being prepared. Two people who were friends of the birthday boy showed up spontaneously and decided to join us for dinner. We were now a party of 5. The host didn't miss a beat and sat us at a table for 5. Dinner was incredible. The salmon was perfectly prepared. Our server was excellent. Timing was impeccable. Desserts with birthday candles were brought to the table. We broke out in song, stayed for dancing, and had a great night!!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMThumbs up on food but much too loudWe always love the food/service at dBar, but this was our first visit on a Friday. And in Restaurant Week, to boot. Unfortunately the OpenTable ratings for noise include only quiet, moderate, and energetic; what about painfully loud? That's what it was! Mostly loud customers (lots of them). The techno music and the vibrating floor didn't help. We'll return on a Tuesday or so, when it's reasonably quiet. Food, by the way, was very good. My chopped salad was especially notable, even if exceptionally rich. My wife's clams were excellent, as was our bread pudding.
