We had a hard time getting things on the menu, we order Prosecco & they were out, then they were out of the alternative, but they did bring us a pricier one, Maribella, instead which worked great for same price. They were out of one of their dishes, a bummer always to hear that at a pricey restaurant especially at 7:30pm on a Thursday, how are you out?
Order calamari, octopus salad, mussels, green spaghetti, risotto, salmon, and veal dishes. Mussels and salmon dish were phenomenal, the only thing worth its price. Cactus fruit sorbet did blow my mind! The rest was good but not blow your mind good. The menu was delicious and the stand outs were the scallop risotto and the crab, salmon and avocado salad. The salmon main course was served over a bed of smashed potatoes along with a delicious dill creme sauce. Desserts were heavenly and the atmosphere was slick, modern and very comfortable. Service was generally good, although the waiter dropped the ball on a few drink orders which were delivered late into the meal. The service was extremely efficient and friendly without being intrusive. My wife casually mentioned in passing that it was my birthday. Our shared desert came with a candle in it and we were told it was on the house because of the birthday. The waitress mentioned that they don't usually do that. The restaurant had a nice energy for both a pre-dinner drink at the bar and a well paced dinner.

D.B.A. was fabulous. They called ahead of time to talk about where we would be seated and took incredible care of our table. It was a wonderful meal and the service as well as the experience was outstanding!!! The server that we had was Jonathan......he was amazing. Every suggestion he made we took! We loved the crunchy sushi app, Tuna pringle, and flight of martini's. For dinner we had scallops yummy endive salads. The entire experience was wonderful even finishing with the sorbet. I mentioned it to our server. The manager came over concerned and offered more. We declined as most of the mussels were wonderful and we enjoyed our meal. The next thing we knew we had a whole order of mussels delivered. When we protested we were told the chef insisted. We ate them all and they were wonderful. I made reservation for wifes birthday 2 weeks in advance and was confirmed by phone on day before. My wife had two requests, dinner at DBA and window seat overlooking valley. Reservation was for 6:30. Arrived on time to be told table was not ready, go sit at bar. After 15 minutes I went to desk to express irritation as to why table wasnt ready at 6:30. Suddenly a table was ready but table was in middle of restaurant. 2 tables by window empty. Food was fine. Ordered two smaller dishes instead of one large entree. Last time I was there sizes were larger. The half size was considerably smaller than before. The manager did chase us down outside and apologized. We decided we wanted to go with the Chef's Tasting Menu which was 5 courses paired with wine. What an unbelievable experience! From the moment we walked in the front door, we were made to feel welcome. The staff was outstanding! Friendly, welcoming, knowledgable and willing to answer any questions and go above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying our evening. Each course was exploding with flavors! The Chef spent time with us out of his busy evening to explain each course and go over the ingredients. What a great opportunity to watch him work and create his magical presentations.
