Diner Reviews
  • "food does not compare to other DB restaurants, shocked by the difference in quality. the worst part of the experience is the service and location. since it is open to the casino, all you hear and see is casino activity and unfortunately smell cigar and cigarette smoke. we asked to be moved towards the back of the resturant and they said no, that all tables are reserved but by the end of our dinner the entire section was still vacant. service very non engaging and spotty, had to refill our wine glasses ourselves, had to ask for more bread and they brought 2 small pieces, etc."

  • "We ate at DB Brasserie, having just had a fabulous meal at Maison Boulud in Montreal a few weeks ago. We had high hopes. While most of the dishes were okay, I ordered the French Onion Soup. It was inedible! There must have been an entire carton of salt in my bowl. I complained and the response was something like "somebody else said it was too salty, too." Then fix it! They did remove the soup from the bill, but that left me with a slice of "just okay" pate for dinner. I hope the menu can be fixed. The restaurant is beautiful and the service was very good. Location is fun -- you can look out at the casino, but it is not too loud."

  • "Fantastic food and service. It does not get any better in Las Vegas."

  • "Both our main dishes Duck confit and Lamb Chop were very salty, disappointing. Appetizer Escargot came out good. Grand Marnier Souffle puffy nice but sugary."

  • "Hit this restaurant up for dinner after a big lunch, so I wasn't expecting to eat much. Wow. Big mistake! Everything I had was incredible. I wish I would have had room for more! Great list of appetizers, and the wine list looked incredible. I was just going to have one glass of wine, so I went with the waiters rec. very solid. He recommended a merlot that is probably the best wine I've tasted in years! I went with the duck, and it was perfect. Great restaurant, and I will definitely be back."

  • "I had just recently made a trip to NYC and went to Bar Boulud, which was a sore disappointment. So when I found out that Daniel Boulud was opening a new restaurant in Vegas, I wasn't too excited to try it out. But one of my friends had just gone to DB Brasserie the week before and said it was a redeeming experience. I couldn't agree more! The service was pretty flawless, all of the food was excellent. We tried the pate, the foie gras, burrata salad, and a seafood pasta topped with bottarga that was so fragrant and decadent I had to take a moment. It was all reseaonably priced, but we are sad that we missed their special prix fix menu that is available from 5-7pm and they also have a happy hour menu that I would want to try next time."

  • "Food is ok, nothing that really blow you away, we ordered Duck Presse, Saint Jacques a La Provencale, Steak Frites. Just another typical french restaurant that we've try before. We're only like the butter with bread."

  • "We had drinks prior to dinner and my husband always asks for blue cheeses olives in his martini. When we got the bill, we noticed that they charged an extra two dollars for the olives. The bartender didn't tell us that there was an extra charge for blue cheese olives. We have NEVER been charged extra for blue cheeses olives before!"

  • "It was hard to find in the Venetian as most of the staff were unaware of it's location since it has been open only 2 months. The food was outstanding and the service was great. They had the best coffee I have ever had in a restaurant. I can't wait to return for dinner."

  • "After reading the Las Vegas press reviews, you'd think this restaurant was the best thing to happen to Vegas in a long time. Sadly, it's not nearly as good as the reviews say. The Tarte Flambee was decent, but lacked punch. The Roast Chicken was not as good as you can find elsewhere on the Strip, and the Pommes Lyonnaise were a fail - they tasted like sugar had been dumped into them. And does "parsley salad" mean a bunch of parsley leaves dumped on the plate? Sitting in the room the place feels like you are sitting in a garage looking out of four large garage doors. Still, the caesar salad was excellent, and the staff were friendly. The food needs work to match up to Bouchon, Comme Ca, etc."

  • "Loved the crispy duck confit! The onion rings were so delicate and tasty! Incredible dessert-Pistachio/Cherry Sundae! Hostess Stefanie and waiter Thierry were wonderful..."

  • "I had an incredible dinner with my partner here. The chef cooked an item not listed on the menu at my request for starters. For mains, I had the duo of beef. It was so tender that the non steak knife just slid through it. Delicious! My partner's duck was simply the best I've ever tasted (and I've eaten a lot of duck). Hands down the most flavoursome I could imagine. For dessert, my partner had a soufflé which I didn't try because I was too busy enjoying the black and white chocolate fondant. Again, it was to an extremely high standard. To top it off, our server, Chris, was just fantastic. He was the perfect balance of friendly and helpful but not over-friendly. The whole experience was top notch. Highly recommend if you love good food."

  • "Really wanted to like this place since I read about it on Eater Vegas. Our app course of Foie Gras was divine for this Cali deprived tourist but the salmon entree was ok, there was just something about it that was off."

  • "You really forget that you are in the midle of a huge cassino, I felt like in a nice NY restaurant or even Paris bistrô like the decoration suppose. I've been in 4 deferents Daniels before but this was the first time the chef not only were at restaurant but he also stop by our table to ask about the food and service."

  • "Our party of six celebrated my parents' 80th Birthdays at the restaurant - although I had mentioned this in the online reservation, there was no acknowledgement or recognition of it at all. Service was attentive, helpful, and professional otherwise. Wine list was pricey and not particularly interesting or inviting. We mostly ordered burgers, but still managed to spend over $400 with tip. Considering that there was nothing memorable about the dinner beyond the resulting price, I can not recommend."

  • "Perfect- hard to choose, the potato dauphine and salmon roe was delicious as was the pate. The beef duo and sides were well prepared and perfect portion size. The bourbon cocktail with a ginger vanilla sphere makes me want to visit Vegas once a month. Service was fine. The only negative thing I could say was I had a view of the casino - some sort of screen would help,"

  • "So noisy, we had a hard time conversing. The food was good, but for a "brssserie", the cost was way over the top. The restaurant is open to the surrounding casino and seems like nothing was done for the ambient noise from the adjoining tables. A romantic dinner would be impossible. His previous restaurant here was enclosed and reasonable noise. Ambience here was absent."

  • "We had a meal here and felt the food was a bit below par. It was all well cooked but the flavours were a bit bland. Would prefer a bit more of an old fashioned brasserie experience"

  • "We went to celebrate a Friends' birthday and it was definately one to remember. Because we had a late flight, we opted for early dinning, therefore the restaurant was empty. The ambiance was nice and I just loved their green water glasses. How cute. The signature drinks were great, a little small but carried a big punch. The food was very tasty and service was great."

  • "Come to this restaurant for well-prepred food and excellent service. Its location next to the main casino creates more of a sidewalk atmosphere than is typical for other fine dining restaurants."

  • "If you recall the DB at Wynn when it opened, change your reservation from wherever you are dining today and go to DB. If you don't recall that outing from Daniel, no matter. Brasserie food done to perfection and I'm nervous that would emphasis on the club crowds could mean this restaurant is "too good" to last in this new incarnatino of "all burgers all the time dining." If you love Bouchon or Comme Ca you'll love this place - just go go go go!"

  • "We had to pick one pace in Vegas for our Anniversary dinner and were ecstatic to have picked DB Brasserie. Food and service top notch. Why it was not totally full was a mystery to us. One of our best meals anywhere.CairnsNH"

  • "DB would not be proud. Zero personality in the staff more concerned about setting empty tables than serving occupied ones! Had to ask for everything, no one concerned with our pleasure. Restaurant looked fake, staff is fake. Just being French doesn't make it authentic."

  • "My wife order the Kobe steak. Amazing! I ordered steak Frits and was a chewy piece of beef for 30. No I am not comparing it to the Kobe beef. I am comparing it to a 12 black angus steak special I can get back at my neighborhood pub. Because my wife was so happy with her meal I was not about to ruin the evening by complaining. So that said I would not recommend the steak Frits. There is no way at 30$ a plate, a steak should be leaving the kitchen that tough. To the credit of the chef he did cook it as I desired."

  • "We expected so much from Daniel Boulud, but clearly he has done nothing more than put his name on the door! If you are a foodie, save your money! The foie gras had very little taste - the duck confit was tiny & had a weird choice of flavorless items on the plate - the swordfish was absolutely flavorless & broccolini was an embarrassment - the custard dessert was dry & we almost laughed when they set it on our table because the presentation was so elementary. PLEASE trust us on this one - STAY AWAY! daniel - what have you done??"

  • "Been to Daniel in NYC many times, likewise the Moderne and DB Brasserie @ The Wynn. Celebrating our 35th anniversary and happy to have DBB back in Las Vegas. 8:15 Fri. night and the place was only 1/3 full. We sat side-by-side at a table/banquette only to realize that we were across the room from, but directly facing the bar and televisions showing sports...a far cry from the spectacle offered in the pool at the Wynn. We had a cocktail and champagne and ordered foie gras to accompany. It was so cold we let it sit a full 15 minutes before it was edible (in my opinion). Food got better, but never great. Our server was ok, but considering, should have been much better. Space + Food + Service + Price = We will not be going back!"

  • "Our group of 5 enjoyed the meal greatly. Crab & asparagus salad was wonderful. Linguine was great. Steak and fish dishes were enjoyed by the party. Good desserts. Had the table in the corner near the casino. We actually enjoyed people watching there, not loud at all. Waiter was really friendly & told some great stories. Fantastic wine too."

  • "We dined at DB Brasserie while in Vegas and just before attending a show at the Venetian. We were very well taken care of, the food was wonderful, but the service was the best we experienced at any restaurant we ate while experiencing Vegas."

  • "Also reasonable priced. Had the oysters which were a little pricey but excellent. The steak frites and salmon was very good as well. Ordered a drink that was too strong and the waitstaff noticed and got me a different drink (with no charge for the first). One of my highlights of my trip to Vegas."

  • "Seven of my girlfriends and I ate dinner here on Saturday night to kick off my bachelorette party night. We all got the prix fixe menu and wine tasting. The entire meal was delicious! And abundant. We all ate a little too much! The service was quick and attentive. The only problem had to do with reddening or vouchers. We bought a package through the hotel that came with free dinner and the hosts nor the servers seemed to know anything about it. Ultimately, they charged our room and then we had the hotel remove the amount at checkout. Other than that, great experience."

  • "Las Vegas is the new part time home of one of the world's most charming and talented chefs, Daniel Boulud. And Db Braissiere can only be described as a truly chic but classic example of a Parisian culinary experience. After a week of eating around Vegas we chose Chef Bouluds restaurant as our final meal and how glad we are that we did. The meal was superior, from the silken fois gras to the decadence of a Grand Marnier soufflé, we felt privileged to have been seated in this beautiful jewel of a restaurant. And thanks to sommelier Norman we enjoyed several fine wines from the old world. We were honoured by an extended visit with Daniel Boulud and wish him every success with this, his newest homage to the worlds most celebrated cuisine. "

  • "My feeling is when writing a review of a restaurant, wait 30 days and see what you remember. This being said, we went just a few days ago...and I am sure that there will be lots we remember in 30 days. I'm alway leery of big name chef restaurants, feeling their marketing has surpassed the food. Not here. We had the duck confit, amazing. The Burrata salad was a capreese salad on steroids. The tart was rich and calorie worthy. Cheese plate was beautiful. Also, the staff was spectacular. From our waiter who strongly pushed me to the duck dish...to the busboy who discussed his favorite dishes on the menu and then escorted my date to the rest room. Daniel was there and stopped by...looking forward to his upcoming DC restaurant."

  • "Ordered a steak medium came out RAW. This was my second meal at DB in Las Vegas both time the service was spotty. While i enjoyed the atmosphere they really need to work on whats coming out of the kitchen. on my first visit one appetizer was left off the order and a Yankee burger that was ordered medium came out extremely raw. on the second visit a steak that was ordered medium was barely cooked."

  • "The restaurant is classic French brasserie, simple and classic with dark woods and dark leather banquette. Service was attentive, efficient and extremely professional. We ordered the lamb flatbread as a starter...so good...ground lamb delicately spiced with cumin and coriander and a perfect way to begin the meal. My friend ordered the lobster ravioli special...generous serving of raviolis, plump with lobster...very tasty. I ordered the duck confit: perfectly tender duck topped with super crispy duck skin and crispy wisps of onion rings served over braised Swiss Chard and trumpet mushrooms. To finish things off, we ordered the Black & White Fondant, a rich molten lava cake served with a refreshing verbena ice cream."

  • "Boulud's mouth-watering menu delivers. Nice share-plate options. Sophisticated preparation, clean and fresh tasting, lovely presentation in classy white-tablecloth dining room. Lots of business diners but casual elegance would feel comfortable here. Well-curated wine list divides the American wines on the list in thirds: pioneers, those that took wines to the next level and the hotshots/forward-thinkers. Clever and cool. Plates/food could be hotter - a must for pasta dishes. Service is superb, informed and unobtrusive. This wine lover discovered a Belgian beer suggested by our server, Bosteels triple karmeliet, a great find. Go - no disappointments here, an oasis of peace & class in Las Vegas. "

  • "I was looking forward to dining at DB mainly because of Chefs previous restaurant at The Wynn. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the location, right off the Casino. The noise level does not make for a dining experience. The "lounge" area was was full of Las Vegas party hardy tourists. Our server was wonderful and tried His best, but even He had to talk above the noise. The food was very good, as expected. Not traditional French fare, but more "Country French" al la Bocuse. If not for the noise, I would return. Not likely now."
