The decor and service are welcoming without the uppity arrogance that sometimes accompanies these places. We went for a pre-show, birthday dinner and db Moderne did not disappoint. Service and pacing was spot on. Although it the place was quite busy, at no time did we ever feel rushed. The roast pheasant was a foodies' delight. At the end of the meal, we ordered dessert and coffees which came out with a additional surprise birthday dessert of rich chocolate molten cake with a discreet birthday candle on the side of the plate. Despite the full dinner, we squeezed in every last bite of that cake as it was too good not to devour. The resturant was prepared for the crowd asked the right questions, had the right answers and were always hospitable, and profession. The meal was served hot, plates were cleared quickly but never rushing. Wait staff was exceptional. The menu could use a vegetarian option and a dessert with a crunch should be offered. Other than that we had a great meal. As a matter of fact the four members of the party each ate in a Daniel Bouloud Resturant this past week, and each place was yummy.

This was our first time at db Bistro, and we chose it for its proximity to our theater. We ordered from the pre-theater menu, which was small but fine, and everything was great. But our waiter was attentive and the food was good, the carrot soup especially. The famous burger was cooked properly but, strangely, was a bit dry. The Alsatian tarte was beyond delicious (but what happened to the flambee?). Bistro blew them both away. I loved the fact that Bistro wasn't blaring music at me, which so many restaurants do these days and I think it's awful. The service is fast, but they don't rush you. They cater well to the theatre goers. The food was outstanding. The potato soup and crab meat salad were both wonderful as was the cheese platter.

Just right and not too much, well cooked but the taste was somewhat subtle for our main courses (short ribs and duck confit) as we expected more bold flavors. Mango and guava gelato dessert with coconut cake was refreshing.
Service: Friendly and efficient, food came in a timely manner. We brought an ad about the restaurant giving 20% discount after 8pm every night and they honored it.
Ambience: Cozy and modern, not too noisy and certain areas have more privacy with partitions. Older crowd (above 50 yrs old) on the night that we dined there, made us feel very young.
