db Bistro moderneWent there to celebrate gettingWent there to celebrate getting my PhD with my family. The manager heard why we were there and sent over a special dessert with "Congratulations" written on the plate. The waiter we had was so friendly and helpful, but would leave us alone when we didn't need him. We did not feel rushed at all, even though the dinning room was packed. Amazing cocktails as well. Would definitely go back!5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMSuch good everythingWe sat down to a delightful Saturday brunch, waited on by a delightful waiter and busboy, seated by a delightful hostess, and left feeling ------ delighted!!
Couldn't have been nicer. No one was stuffy or neglectful. We can't wait to return, and would make this a tradition for our family- as we are all visiting from Philadelphia.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMPre-theatre brunchA wonderful location to enjoy fabulous food prior to shows on the East side of Broadway and near Times Square. The omelette is fantastic and the side orders of spinach and sausages are terrific additions.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous food & brilliant serviceReally happy that we booked a pre theatre dinner at db Bistro moderne in NYC, it was lovely. Will recommend.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMVery attentive wait staff,Very attentive wait staff, and very nice. The burger is really out of this world. I was told the crispy duck confit was terrific but since I wouldn't share my burger, I didn't get any duck! Desserts are terrific, especially the warm madeleines. I wish the table weren't so close and it was a tad quieter.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food is very good -- IThe food is very good -- I love the char.
Not so crazy about the $20/glass wine cost.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMExpected moreThe food was good but not outstanding. Snails were very good, burger was cooked correctly but dry. My wife was unable to find a comfortable sitting position for her feet due to the large base under the table.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMI've had duck confit in manyI've had duck confit in many places, but this was the best duck confit I have had, hands down. The skin was crispy but almost melted in the mouth. It was done perfectly. The mushrooms soaked in the sauce were also my favorite parts of the dish too. Lemon tart as dessert was very nice as well.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMOur best anniversary dinnerExcellent food and service. I've had better for lots less. My dining companion did like her chicken breast - called it moist with a great sauce. If I come again I will order differently.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMdb Bistro Moderne is one ofdb Bistro Moderne is one of the best restaurants in NYC....food,service, atmosphere/ambiance. Pasta Pappardelle with Lamb ragout, The amazing db Burger and pomme frits, small and large plates....can satisfy any/all tastes. One criticism: the waiter didn't understand that the Grey Goose up with olives was not a martini and that we didn't want vermouth. He was agreeable to bring us new drinks...and then served the vodka warm with olives in a low ball glass with ice. Oh well, nothing is perfect.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful service, especiallyWonderful service, especially given the location near Times Square. Fantastic food, including the tomato tart tatin and a delicious papardelle with lamb ragu and fava beans.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMBeen to the restaurant onBeen to the restaurant on numerous occasions, food has been consistent and very flavorful

Everything was relish from the salad to the deserts. Come for pre r post theater but leave plenty of time because they so not rush your meal ( which could be considered a positive). Skip the brunch though.. It was just ok and way pricey for quiche.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic food and excellentFantastic food and excellent service. We go there often when we first get to New York City and find the food, service and liveliness of the restaurant always terrific. We began with the Mediterranean sampler, a yummy mix of grilled calamari, hum as, olives and sliced savory cheese. A great shared plate. We followed that by sharing the classic db burger, a huge burger stuffed with short ribs and fois gras and seved with a cone of fries. It was seved for us split each with a cone of fries. The sommelier was helpful and the wine list interesting as well. A great experience after a long trip.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThe finest prix-fixe menuThe finest prix-fixe menu we've ever encountered.Amazing value!4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious food Great preDelicious food
