"In the past this was excellent. On this visit while the duck and burger were excellent the fish was overcooked and not very good at all. The service usually excellent was bad. Our waiter was nowhere to be found and kept forgetting things."

"Great pre-theater choice. We always come to db when we are seeing shows in NY. Wish they added a few more selections on prix-fixe selection and didn't repeat them so often. Food is consistently very good."

"We went for the Pre-theater dinner. The food was amazing...not a large selection but we still wanted to order everything on the menu! Service was excellent. Great wine selection. We were more than pleased with every part of our meal. It is a small place and not very private but that is most of NYC."

"My daughter and i had a late light dinner after a show on Easter weekend. We shared a duck pate appetizer, then had lobster salad and salmon tartare. The duck pate was good, but served too cold. The other two dishes were excellent. Everything was impecccably prepared and presented. My less favourable review is with the service. Although it was courteous, it wasnt particularly attentive. I asked the waiter for a wine recommendation for the meal and he didnt seem very knowledgeable. Basically had to choose my own. I got the impression we were judged as not as worthy, two tourist women not buying full course meals. We got a table right by the serving station and had to ask to be moved as there were several empty tables."
