  • "Unmistakably a hotel restaurant. Sorry, it's how we felt. Not for us, will never return."

  • "Amazing dinning experience and outstanding service"

  • "We are big fans of DB and never miss the restaurants when in NY. In Miami.. Well the food is good, service cordial but the setting is so drab that it just kills the experience. Who on earth concocted the main dining room? It is completely without charm or warmth. We will not go back even if we enjoyed the good. You can get great food in Miami, no reason to go somewhere so joyless."

  • "A very pleasant find in downtown Miami. Menu is small but creative, service exceptional, great bread."

  • "We were there on a Monday night, the bar was busy with large business groups and soccer was on the TVs. An okay vibe, but quiet at the bar itself and no one was in the restaraunt, hence we chose to eat at the bar. The barkeep was knowledgeable and friendly. Nice wine and cocktail selections. Bar stools were incredibly uncomfortable. I had the coq au vin which was over cooked with few vegetables. My husband had the halibut and seafood pieces. The halibut was outstanding, but very, very little sauce under the halibut and zero sauce on the other fish pieces. Sent back asparagus; huge and not trimmed well at all. Overall, disappointed, we cancelled our second night reservation."

  • "We went to this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary and we thought Daniel Boulud french bistro in Miami was a good choice for a bit of quietness and romance with delicious food. Overall the decor of the main restaurant is very plain, no ambience. The service was fine, people were nice to us, but unfortunately they served me a dirty glass of champagne with marks of lipstick. Then the food was almost perfect if it wasn't for my steak to be too well done. Happily the macaroons were so delicious that we left in good spirits! But not sure if would come back."

  • "This is probably the most roman if restaurant in Miami, where you can actually hear one another while having a 5 star dinner. From beginning to end this wonderful place will entice your taste buds!"

  • "Excellent service. They accommodated our needs for quick service to attend the Heat/Indiana Eastern Conference Finals. Desert was a Heat Win."

  • "Overall pleasant experience marred slightly by difficulty parking and high priced food and wine. Glad we went but don't think we will return often."

  • "Have been several times as we are a fan of Boulud's restaurants. The Miami restaurant has nice ambience. Service is knowledgable, but not particularly warm or friendly . Overall , Several missteps on reservation and wine service, but more importantly this was a rare occasion for us to send an entree back as duck was just too tough to enjoy. Second time this has occurred at Boulud this season. Kitchen is very skilled but perhaps they have a supplier problem. Food can be outstanding when they are on their game. Manager was nice enough to comp dinner."

  • "Our party consisted of two couples catching up on old friendships. We had a fantastic time and food from apps to dessert was wonderful. I have nothing but good memories of the evening - no complaints about anything."

  • "Excellent food. Everything we ate was delicious. Service was outstanding. I just wished the ambience was more cozy. We will definitely come back. "

  • "Immediate warm and friendly staff to greet you! Seated promptly although we were 15 minutes late due to traffic. Food was generous and very good. Crabcake was excellent and the Coq au Vin was delicious. Sommelier was on top of his game and very helpful. "

  • "Everything was good but not off the charts like I had hoped for my first encounter with a Daniel Boulud restaurant. The only real disappointments were the soggy limp frites and the tasteless croquettes with the escargot. Future diners be aware that the New York strip steak is not a whole steak...only 3 slices of beef (maybe 6 ounces??) presented in a modern way. Made me realize that I can dine 1000 miles closer to home in Cincinnati at Jean Roberts Table for half the price and equally good if not better food."

  • "A very solid meal and I'm probably being a little harsh with the scores. The food is of a very good bistro level but the prices are a little ambitious. Solid without being amazing. There are better options for the $$"

  • "I recommend this place to everyone who's looking for good French food. This is one of the best places in Miami. If you want to have good and quite dinner - this is the place. If you want to drink expensive wine, go to wine boutique in the hotel (same building), buy wine and bring it with you and just pay corkage fee. You will save a lot of money this way."

  • "this is really good food. Been here twice, and each time the food, service, and atmosphere has been excellent."

  • "We enjoyed our meal here - we're suckers for the whole package, decor, food, service. The service was friendly and helpful, the decor was modern and stylish, and the food was great. I had the coq au vin which was superb, and my husband had the burger which despite being tasty, he thought it may have been better served as one burger rather than two sliders (too much bun). We had the tasting plate for dessert, four different dishes on one plate - it was incredible! The wine list was nice although my husband had beer and I had wine by the glass. Would definitely go again."

  • "The "special menu" created by Daniel , was totally under our expectation , nothing for even to remember the experience we had when we visit the Restaurant in NY. After a couple of visit to this restaurant in Miami , which I consider expensive based on what you get include ambience and service, At this point I only consider go back maybe for a brunch some day."

  • "Loved the food and Gin Ginger Martini... Very friendly waiters."
    Dined on 3/19/2014
  • "Tarte Flambee - a joke and Tarte Normande -very disappointing, but made up for disappointments with a carrot curry soup with roasted apples and a basket of mini madeleines. Service and wine - excellent."

  • "I just moved down to miami and was so happy to see that they have one of the restaurant of daniel boulud here. Food was amazing and service very professional. I already went back twice sinçe and everything was perfect has my first experience."

  • "we ate at db bistro in NYC and enjoyed it very much. this time in Miami we triad different dishes and we loved each on of them. the duck pate was delicious and beautifully presented. my husband had the fish spacial and i had the bacon wrapped monkfish both were amazing in taste and creativity. for dessert we where debating if to take their take on lemon pie or their take on apple strudel. they surprised us and because we celebrated our 30th anniversary they gave us both desserts on the house. another great touch to already very amazing experience and a delightful meal ."

  • "walking distance from our hotel and interesting menu - good bread but should be served warm, white wine in red wine glass? - surprising for a French restaurant. Scallops too sour and suckling pig served cold. You can get better food for the same money somewhere else"
    Dined on 3/15/2014
  • "Made a 6.00pm pre-theater reservation. Restaurant wasn't ready to seat us till 6.15. Service was perfunctory. Food was mediocre. Wine list was quite good. Certainly a cut below its New York sibling."

  • "Our 1st visit to dbBistro in JWMarriott Marquis downtown Miami was memorable & made it worthy of repeating. It was late nite (following a disappointing HEAT game) and we had only appetizers, soup & salad each of which was interesting, unique, tasty & very fresh - root vegetables soup (silky smooth & very flavorful), a salad of vegetables artfully seasoned in base of light cheese w/mustard seeds and at the top of these exquisite epicurean delights was a delicious shaved scallop dish beautifully presented in light oils w/ crispy salmon topping - sublime to the palate. Definitely repeat worthy!"

  • "We were attracted by the moderately priced prix fixe offering of four courses with accompanying wine flight and had eaten at Bistro Moderne before, so knew to expect good food and service. We were not disappointed. From the amuse bouche to the last bite of the tantalyzing dessert, it was delightful and served by a knowledgeable and attentive waiter (Allan). The restaurant is within a five minute walk from our apartment, so we will definitely be back."

  • "Went for dinner for a night out with old friends. The service was quite rushed and if not for clarifiying an order; server was pushing to order the $75 risotto not the $45 which we felt was on purpose. Also, ordered 1 type of vodka and was brough a more expensive one; said he would fix it and didn't. Was clearing plates before we were finished. I understand it was prob the last reservation but when spending $400 don't push us out of the place regardless. Food was overall very good and dessert delicious."

  • "A luscious hamburger where the bun was slathered with dijon mustard in the kitchen preventing any burger or foie gras or truffle flavor to come through. I do think someone screwed up. Fries were good but not amazing. My husband enjoyed the duck but it was not Peking style, maybe Pekin which is different and refers more to the breed not the style of cooking?"
