  • "Wish they would expand to Plainfield! Enjoyed our dinner and we will go back."

  • "This was our first trip to Dawson's Too, and we will definitley be back again. The amount and quality of the food was a good bargain, and the service was friendly. There were so many items on the menu that sounded delicious, we have to come back and try them."

  • "We like going to Dawson's Too because even though it appears busy, you go in and it isn't terribly packed. We made reservations just in case and were promptly seated. I like the food there. I just wish the pizza I got had a little more flavor and my husband had coleslaw, that also needed some more flavor. We had great service!"

  • "Last minute E-Reservations for 7pm by Open Table put us at head of line on a very busy Friday night, with a line out the door. Two kitchens and 2 bars made for quick service. "Horseradish-encrusted sirloin" and "Tony's chicken" arrived PROMPTLY, PERFECTLY PREPARED, with ATTENTIVE SERVICE. Crowded parking lot should not deter because spacious rooms for large groups and pleasant, efficient service absorb the crowds. Atmospere is spacious but utilitarian, ripe for improvement. Restaurant measures up to recommendations. Wednesday all-you can eat and Thursday wine specials are attractive. "

  • "This restaurant is full of incredibly friendly servers and staff. It is well decorated and stocked with huge televisions. The location is convenient and the parking is easy. The booth was very comfortable. The food was good. The quality of my Horseradish Sirloin was very high and tasted like a very high quality cut of beef. It was very tender, well cooked, and flavorful. My only concern was the added panko bread crumbs on the top. They were not buttered, so they had not flavor and no crispness either. The potato cakes were very tasty and well prepared, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The salads are not included and not offered so we felt that we shouldn't order one. Thank you for the fun dessert! Very, very loud"

  • "We made reservations for Mother's Day and still waited at least 15 minutes for a table. The hostess was friendly but less than professional. We sat at our table awhile, waiting for a server to arrive with a menu before finally discovering that it was buffet only today. The decor and the buffet lacked visual appeal, not to mention any kind of vegetables (they later added green beans); there was a lot of meat. Fortunately, everyone in our party agreed that everything we tried tasted good. "

  • "I find your menue entrees creative and imaginative. It is always difficult to choose entrees. Your food is always excellent; never boring or typical. I have never been disappointed. Portion sizes are ample. Bravo to the chef!!"

  • "I just moved to Brownsburg and had some family in town. We looked into eating at Dawson's Too. We made reservations and were seated promptly as we arrived around our reservation time. Our waitress was attentive and nice. We all liked the food. I think this will be one of our favorite places to go in Brownsburg."

  • "We love coming to Dawson's at least once a month and always enjoy the food. We've never had anything bad! We normally sit at the bar and did so this time as well. I ordered the chicken quesadillas but when I received them they were steak. The waitress was prompt in sending it back to the kitchen and I received my new one fairly quickly, however due to the inconvenience I would've thought a free dessert or our app would have been taken off our check. This isn't a deal breaker for us, we will be back...but a little customer service goes a long way!"

  • "First time at the restaurant They had my reservation and the greeting at the restaurant The food was excellent. Took a date. The noise level was a bit much at times for conversation. May have just been a large party that evening. The waiter was a nice young man. It took a while for us to get ready to order, as we were having a bit of a get acquainted chat. He eventually, kind of gave up on us. Once we did order. He was back to being attentive. I would recommend this restaurant. The food was delicious, and reasonably priced."

  • "We go there frequently for lunch or dinner. The food is always good. The service has always been good. Weekends are very busy, but we like to go late afternoon for a quiet lunch. Sit in the bar, watch sports and enjoy."

  • "The prices at DT's are the only thing that remind one of Dawson's on Main. The Loaded Potato Soup was unedible, a salty, grey, glutinous concoction loaded with bacon bits. To their credit, both bowls of the soup were taken off our bill after we asked the waitress to take them away barely eaten. The salmon patties looked beautiful, had great texture, but no taste and the dipping sauce that accompanied them burned the palate. The waitress rose above the pedestrian food by giving excellent service, catering to our party's confusing al-a-carte order, and being attentive without hovering over us. For the price, however, I'd head over to Boulder Creek in Brownsburg....or Dawson's on Main if I want really superb, expensive food."

  • "The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great for date night. We had an appetizer, sandwich, and the surf and turf. Everything came out quickly, hot, and with lots of flavor. I highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a romantic place on the west side."

  • "We go to Dawson's Too on a regular basis. The food is great - faves include Nachos, Quesadilla, Sirloin, Salmon & any of the pastas. The staff is attentive and friendly. They have plenty of tables to accommodate big groups both in the bar and in the back rooms. It can get loud. But we keep going back so they're doing many things right!"

  • "Great food. We have eaten here three times in past 30 days. Best entre IMHO is the sirloin steak with horseradish sauce and the wonderful Garlic/onion cheese mashed potato hash brown like patties. Only down side: Impossible to chat over dinner…very loud."

  • "The Ribs dinner with the French Onion soup, and wedge salad are very good. The Chalone Vineyard cab is a good choice."

  • "When we arrived our reservation was not on the books, we were seated but not until we were told we were probably at the wrong restaurant, the hostess even called Speedway after I assured her we were at the right place. Not a good way to begin your eating experience."

  • "We were going to go downtown for a nice date night, but the weather on this day did not cooperate. So, my mother recommended this place. We are sure glad that she did! The atmosphere, food and service was great for a neighborhood restaurant. When we are back in town, we will be going here again!"

  • "Went to celebrate our friendship during this wonderful time of year. Our waiter was attentive. On his recommendation we shared the calimari steak appetizer. FANTASTIC. I will come back just for these.1/2 price Rita's were tasty. Enjoyed the salad with steak. Can't complain about a thing. Laid back atmosphere. Enjoyed the meal."

  • "this was our first time here, and we found the food to be tasty, hot and enjoyable. The cost is slightly less but every bit as good as the sister restaurants in Brownsburg and Avon. While the atmosphere may be a little less upscale. The noise level was high, from hard floors and walls and ceilings but in a booth we were still able to communicate sufficiently. Our waitress was quick to arrive, sufficiently attentive, and gave us our check quickly when we were done. The lighting was cozy but sufficient to see what we were eating. So try this place if you haven't been before."

  • "We celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary Thursday evening. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will plan to return. The food was fabulous. Our server Donna, was a joy to talk to and she was most gracious as she approached our table. We like coming to check out a new restaurant for our anniversary and have dined several times at the Speedway location. The food in Speedway has also been very enjoyable. We will most likely refer friends and family to both locations!! Thanks for making our anniversary memorable as well as enjoyable.."

  • "The food was great. Service was a bit slow, had to ask for a glass of water. Quite noisy despite being seated in a booth kind of in an alcove off the main room. Felt like being in a sports bar, with TVs tuned to Little League baseball world series and music playing loudly. Dawson's on Main is usually more quiet than the Brownsburg facility in our experience, but we thought we would give it a try. The website reservation system worked very nicely, and I am glad I made a reservation as there were a number of groups waiting for a table when we arrived 10 minutes before our time. We were seated immediately, which was very nice on a Saturday evening."

  • "This is our fifth or sixth visit so obviously we appreciate this Brownsburg alternative. Yet it is uneven. Service always pleasant. Attentive hostess and waiter. Dinner seemed slow in coming. Very generous portions. Limp fries despite a request for well done. Outstanding seafood options and inventive combination of flavors. We'll keep coming and hope they get as consistent at dinner as they are at lunch."

  • "Most of the food we were served was great! My son said the tenderloin was the best he's ever had. He had onion rings as his side and they were so good! Definitely the best in town. My husband loved his fish & chips, my daughter that the seafood ravioli was amazing! I had the prime rib special, and it fell short. It was cooked perfect but the meat was very chewy. We will be back, but I won't be having the prime rib again. The service was great. Our waitress was on top of our table the entire time. Everyone who worked there was very friendly."
