The price was almost identical, although we got our money's worth at the wine dinner whereas we felt the regular ala carte menu was very pricey for what one got. The beef cheek and braised ox tail was spectacular. The four wines served with the meal complimented each dish reasonable well, and pours were not stingy, although the Cabernet Franc with the carrot cake dessert did not work, in my opinion. My advice is to skip the regular ala carte menu service and do indeed attend the third Wednesday wine dinners. However, way too pricey. We eat out a lot and frequently in the midtown section and we have had better food for a better value. Our filet was cooked perfectly. The shrimp was very tasty. The soup was very hot, just the way I like it and the small crab louie was a great way to start the whole meal. We also ordered the crab cakes on the side. It was outstanding as well. Overall, we really enjoyed the food and the service was top notch. I feel the prices are beyond the reach of many people and this is evident by the many empty tables.
