  • "My wife and I dined here for our 40th wedding anniversary dinner. The service was prompt, cordial and efficient... and this was on a very busy Saturday evening. The manager made himself known... checking on the status of our visit (in fact, saw him helping bus tables in preparation for incoming guests). The food (I had lamb chops over ratatouille and arugula) was sublime. My wife and I also shared very tasty selections of tiramisu and apple walnut cake. Great dining experience!"

  • "This was our fourth and by far the best visit. We both had the halibut from the prix fixe Valentine's menu, and it was amazing. Likewise, the giant shrimp (shrimp cocktail) were perfect. I highly recommend the peach martinis as well. Our server, Morgan, knew exactly how much attention to give us.....There is a perfect balance, and she has it."

  • "We have been to Davios a number of times and enjoy the food every time we're there. Usually, we enjoy the service. It's the perfect pace of not too slow and not too fast. The servers are friendly and try not to rush you. Unfortunately, this past Saturday night, the service was way below standards. The food was excellent as always, the service on the other hand, not so much. Our server, while nice, rushed us through our meal so quickly, we were done in less than 45 minutes! He barely took the time to speak with us, find out why we were there and didn't establish a rapport with us. We were extremely disappointed with the service on one of our rare date nights and while we loved the food, we'll think twice before visiting again."

  • "Here's my take based on my first experience @ Davio's: 5 of us girls ordered from the Executive Lunch menu.. 1) Pasta e Fagilo - yummy! - A+ 2) Salad - a few of the girls complained too much vinaigrette :( - C 3) Ravioi - a tad too watery - B- 4) Pan Seared red fish was not available, replaced with salmon - Very good - A Our server was nice and friendly. The service overall was slow especially before our order was taken. Took a while for them to serve us our water and tea. Hopefully the next time I am there, service can be more efficient."

  • "Full disclosure ... I have only eaten here once and perhaps this is an outlier type experience. We arrived earlier than reserved and were seated immediately. Our waiter was initially very attentive and once we ordered our entrees he disappeared. We did not get part of our order and by the time he stopped by again, it was too late to be rectified. We could see him in one of their private dining rooms working a large table. I understand the challenges for the wait staff but we were there to have the same level of service. Basically I felt overlooked and somewhat ignored. We may go back, but probably not, a establishment of this level should be on their game all the time, not just most of the time."

  • "We were talked back by a very professional General Manager (Claude Guillaume) who wanted a chance to redeem what was a poor 1st experience. The service was great and while we are indeed "foodies" - we are small portion types, non-drinkers and not big dessert folks either. (I also am not one to take advantage of someone's generosity) They did an EXCELLENT job, the food, the service and the professionalism. GREAT entrees - and I would recommend getting the Full Entrees - this is where Davio's Shines! Check out my photo's on FoodSpotting to see the scallops and the short rib - REALLY NICE and with a little beet salad and some arugula - an Excellent meal!   • "Based on reviews, Davio's has been on my list for a while. Had dinner with there Saturday night and can now check it off. I won't, however, go back. The food was very good but not great. Service was very good, but not the best in Atlanta. Atmosphere is very nice but so incredibly loud....I wouldn't diss it to anyone, but if someone asks me where to go for a memorable dining experience, I'll send them to Bones."

  • "We live 5 minutes from Davio's and we want to love this place, but we still don't, we keep trying, but still no. The food is good, but it's not great, really not even memorable. Add the prices in with the "good" food and you can do the math. The service is fair at best. We are not high maintenance but we had to chase down our server for another bottle of wine after waiting about 20 minutes. I think if they had more offerings on the menu, made the prices a little more palatable and had servers that added to the positive dining experience, then this place would be a winner. We will try again."

  • "My husband, two children and myself went for Christmas Eve dinner. They presented two options. Order off the regular menu or a Christmas eve celebration of seven fishes . My husband and daughter both has the pasta with asparagus, and shrimp in a pesto cream sauce. it was outstanding. Hint, if you are not a big eater, order the half size. Our waiter was kind enough to suggest this and it was a great size. I had the penne with smoked bacon, chicken and mozzarella in a cream sauce. Excellent as well. Pasta cooked just right. The warm spinach salad was good, but a bit pricy for the size. We had the arugula with shaved parmesan cheese. Good size and taste. Lastly the lobster risotto appetizer. Excellent. Generous portion of lobster."

  • "Started with a Caesar Salad (a "standard" that ANY - so called - Italian place should be able to make, I mean, that is a barometer right?!?! It was awful and I left most of it...bad flavor, wilted lettuce, stale crouton 'slice'... I then bailed out base on this start to another "EASY" item they SHOULD have been able to make....a Margareta Pizza... It was just Cheese Bread with am uncooked "doughy" bread crust and a terrible flavor. In a word... HORRIFIC! When I stated it was terrible with only one slice gone, the waitress asked if I wanted to box up the rest?!!?! I said, no - I want to get a check and leave for someplace for dinner I will not be back"

While Davio's is located in a mall, do not think that it is similar to other mall-based restaurants; it is much, much better."

  • "Took my wife & friend to Thanksgiving dinner and was delightfully pleased with Davio's. Our guest was a bit late but there was no fuss at all...the waiter watched patiently from afar and came to the table when the guest arrived. Although it was a "traditional" Thanksgiving dinner, the flavors were anything but! Our Butternut Squash Soup was so rich and flavorful with a surprise hint of coconut. The turkey & gravy were fine, but the creamed baby onions & peas were delicious, along with the cranberry chutney, sauted kale and sweet potato cubes. For the price, $45. each, an appetizer or dessert should have been included. The atmosphere was relaxed, the service impeccable and the food...well the plates were emptied! Free valet parking."
