Live smooth jazz saxophone and leather sofas in the lounge make for a romantic start to your dining experience. Wine List: Outstanding selections from smaller lesser known vineyards with the Wine Spectator seal of approval (2012 - 2014). It is on an iPad which provides more info to help you navigate the selections to find the perfect fit. Food: Classic yet inventive. Red Elk Osso Bucco as a main or how about Beef Wellington as an appetizer? Osso Bucco - I was hesitant as such a lean cut can be dry but this was succulent to the point of decadence. Staff: Well versed, polite, and attentive"

  • "The basic brick building hinds the gem you'll find inside. We were celebrating my husband's birthday, and he was greeted by name by the host and hostess. At our reserved booth (a corner booth with throw pillows!) he was presented with a festive birthday card signed by the restaurant staff. Our waiter was very accomodating throughout the meal...which was fantastic. Our party of four each ordered a different dinner and all were extremely satisfied. Love that you receive the sorbet between courses to cleanse your palate! And chocolate covered strawberries came with the bill! I would highly recommend David's for your next special occassion."

  • "It would be easy to drive by David's plain brick building and miss a dining gem. That all changes once you're inside. The ambiance is great, the service good without being obsequious and the food was wonderful. A salmon mousse amuse bouche stared us off. They were happy to split a Caesar salad for us, then we enjoyed a sherbet palate cleanser. All six of us tried something different for entrees and everyone loved their meal. Chocolate covered strawberries provided with coffee made a perfect end to the meal. We would go back in a heartbeat. With wine we spent about $45 per person, which we thought was a great deal."

The hostess barely spoke to us, despite waiting next to the desk for about 5 mins for our table, for which we had a reservation. Table service was just awkward from anyone other than our main server. When our server was at our table, he was pleasant and obviously experienced...quite professional. However, there were quite long delays between visits to the table and it took a very long time for our food to arrive...more than 30 mins. The food was delicious, but I am not sure it makes up for the strange experience."

We listened to the door open and shut all night and heard loud banging sounds, which our waiter said were from the dishwasher located on the other side of the wall. Our waiter tried hard to make the experience as pleasant as possible and the food was decent, but we couldn't help but feel that the person who sat us wanted us to have an unpleasant night.."

  • "Third visit. Prior two service and food were very good. This time food was closer to mediocre than really good. Had same entree and it was if the chef was disinterested or wasn't the prior chef and was just following the recipe. Server had good intentions but was way too visible and his "acknowledgement word" was "absolutely" and he used it liberally. He could of just nodded or said "yes, sir" or some other mild way of acknowledging something we said. We will revisit David's, but our expectations have been lowered. Perhaps it was just an off night (it happens). We'll see."

  • "We hosted a special BD for visitors from the North. We were not disappointed on a busy Saturday night. Drinks in the lounge with live music was a great way to start the evening. Selection for dinner was very good, with small fillet, sirloin and soft shell crabs being our choices. All were prepared very well. Our service was well coordinated by wait staff. We finished with a special dessert for the birthday girl. Overall wonderful place for special occasions."

  • "For a busy Valentine's Day this restaurant pumped out some absolutely amazing food! I had the skirt steak & scallops. The steak was tender & perfectly cooked. The red wine reduction was very flavorful & a nice pairing. My scallops were the best I have had in a very long time. So sweet, with an excellent caramelization! Even the asparagus & potatoes were delicious & perfectly cooked. My spouse had the rib eye which was delicious, but I have to say I liked my dish better...so did he. Creme brûlée was also very good & the portion perfect. Great ambiance. Wine selection was decent. The service was a lil lacking but then it was a busy day so it wouldn't be fair to judge service on that day. The food made up for the less than stellar service."

In addition, although I'm very willing to spend big bucks on a great meal, this was not a great meal and way overpriced."

Upon arriving and throughout our meal, we were impressed with the celebratory offerings by the staff, including a card signed by all on our table! The service was superb, our server Jennifer could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. The food was amazing, ribeye cooked perfectly, beef wellington with perfectly al delte basil risotto...yum!! Fresh caprese salad with the most tasteful balsamic reduction - I went home and made some for the next evenings meal. Reasonably priced, we highly recommend this restaurant."

The food was prepared and presented well with little complimentary touches added in. The serves by Australian standards were large though the dishes we had were very good.
