I personally enjoyed the fine selection of local craft beers, but all 4 of us really enjoyed the meal. The Calamari Appetizer was especially good. I had read complaints about the price and portions. The Portions were fine. The food is not cheap but then again what is these days, you get what you pay for is really true. Did not get a chance to get back until this past weekend and forgot how satisfying the food is here. The calamari appetizer drizzled with the thai chili sauce had a nice kick to it. The baked brie was delicious as was the sauteed scallops with chorizo. The salmon entrée was satisfying and the pork rib special was finger-licking good. Rounding out the experience were the well-made drinks and friendly service. The four of us agreed we plan on coming back here again soon!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMLast Minute ReservationsAlthough this was a last minute reservation, we wanted to be as close to the Mayo Theatre as possible because it was pouring out. Apparently, many people who were attending the show chose to eat at this restaurant. Even though it was crowded, the staff was very efficient and service was great. Our wait staff was wonderful-very attentive and responsive. They even walked one member of the group to show her where the ladies room was located. I was on a very restrictive diet-no wheat, no fat etc. The chef prepared my food beautifully and substituted appropriate vegetables per my request. The cocktail drinkers reported their drinks were delicious. Every one at the table said their food was delicious and we all said we would return for another meal. Service was friendly but uneven (we had to ask if there were any specials). The coffee arrived 5 minutes after our dessert was eaten and it was lukewarm. The waiter did apologize and we could see it was busy. The noise level rises as the evening progresses. Nice availability choice of red or white wine flights and beer flights, to get a good sampling of what you might want. Flights are not skimpy. Noise level on a Saturday night make for louder voices in discussions. The food was fresh and nicely prepared; the wine and beer lists included a wide variety. Our hostess was very accomodating and our charming and helpful waiter never missed a beat. It was a perfect meeting spot for us because we were all coming from different parts of northern NJ. Could not get enough!Had the duck and the striped bass special. Both were perfectly cooked and delicious. Duck perfectly med rare and sriped bass crispy skin and beautifully moist inside. The potatoes were outstanding. Wishing they came with the duck instead of the fish but we shared. Too full so we skipped dessert. Went back after show for a cocktail. Nice bar area as well.
