"Great food and service. Everyone was extremely friendly and professiona. Restaurant is located at one end of town so not a lot of walking traffic passing by making for a quieter and better view of the water restaurant We have been to David Paul's before and wanted to take our friends for good food and service, David Paul's didn't disappoint."

"My husband, teen daughter, her friend and I went for dinner Easter night. The ambiance was fantastic. The view, the singer/guitar player, furnishings, etc. we're great. The service was very good. Dinner was served at a very leisurely pace - a bit too slow for us, but I know appreciated by many others. The food was very good and the presentation was excellent. I had the seabass and my husband had tequila marinated shrimp. We would absolutely go back there- and would absolutely recommend it to others."

"Wow! Heard about this place for a while finally got around to trying it. Great food! Amazing service! The bussers are very very well trained. A pet peeve of ours is when the busser clears entree plates before all people at the table are finished. Your busser did not do that! Finally good service at a restaurant! Very much appreciated! Thank you and we will be back!"

"Delicious, full-flavored food in the heart of downtown Lahaina. Chef David Paul introduced himself to customers around the restaurant which was a treat. Mahimahi with apple banana sauce was to die for!"

"David Paul's was very good. David is a delight to see walking around the dining room, going from table to table, talking to customers.
He certainly is a very nice man. Surely if the chef spends so much time in the dining room, something is bound to go wrong in the kitchen.
Our Tuna Carpiccio was wonderful, but awfully small for $17.00
The next course was larger, and also very good, after I scraped off the heavy pepper crust, which over powered the Ahi.
My wife had a dish Mahi & Bannana, which she thought was very good.
The Truffel fries are poor, they tasted as if they were frozen ($9)
And then over salted and limp. I've tasted hundreds of Truffel fries in the last 10 years and these were the worst.
Wines are rediculously over p"

"We ate there two years ago, and it was really quite good. Tried it again last week, and the service was terrible, food was incredibly slow to come, and then hardly warm. Give it a miss!"

"There are a lot of better choices in Maui. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but nothing to get excited about. i felt it had a lot more charm in the old location on Lahaina. Prices are high."

"excellent food.great location and ambience. pricy, of course, but what i expected. nothing special about the "special" drinks. the owner was in the kitchen, working really hard on " the line." but was able to take time out for a second and allow us to visit him in the kitchen
