David Burke Kitchen
BrunchThe food was excellent but since it was Mother's Day, the rooftop was packed and service was a bit slow. We would definitely come back.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMUnusual food in warm settingTry the grapefruit brulee (but be prepared to eat both halves!) and lots of chicken sausage. The oatmeal is pricey but worth it -- interesting cinnamon meringue wafer on top of nutty, well-cooked Irish oats. Warm, burnished wood country casual setting. Bellinis are clear -- essence of peach is used. Great cappuchino -- no bitterness at all unlike most NYC restaurants. (Why is that?)5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMMother Daughter Day BrunchI brought my mom here for brunch because I would have to share her with the rest of the family on Mother's Day.
The service was excellent as always and the food was exquisite.

Would definitely go back again for lunch n dinner.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunch at David Burke wasBrunch at David Burke was delicious. The chef's were very accomadable to our dietary needs. The best part was def the dessert. It was delicious!! Will def go back for the desserts.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and presentationThe food and presentation was amazing. I ordered the rib and lobster dumplings, the market chicken salad and the chocolate malt cake. My boyfriend ordered the lobster soup, salmon and the pie of the day (passion fruit). Though I am not a fan of dumplings, they were tasty. I preferred the lobster to the rib one but it was still a cute presentation. My boyfriend's lobster soup was a bit too salty and he thought that it was too generic and was a bit like canned lobster soup. When they brought the soup out, it was just the dumplings, then the waitress came by and poured the soup in.
The salad was delicious and definitely loaded. The salmon was overcooked but still delicious. The desserts are hefty so I would suggest only getting one to split.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMspectacular night. super food, spectacular night. super food, service. great ambience.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMDates with peanut butter and bacon! What a great place to have a great meal in New York. You have to try the dates with peanut butter and bacon, its to die for. The pretzel crab cake, the lobster dumpling soup, the scallops and pork belly and the short ribs all we're out of this world. The complex but oh so yummy dessert of the day was the icing on the cake Good drinks, a great wine selection. The decor is beautiful with the picture of the purveyors for the restaurant on the wall. One little thing, outside of Zac our waiter who was great and helpful, the rest of the staff (overbearing manager)we're rushing us. Why? The restaurant was half empty all evening, no need to do that, I had to slow down my service to make sure I could enjoy it. Go, its really worth it.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWe enjoyed a delicious andWe enjoyed a delicious and relaxing Easter Brunch! Wonderful offerings and perfect sized portions for nibbling our way through brunch. The fluffernutter donut was particularly divine and brought back many memories.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMEaster brunch was wonderful.Easter brunch was wonderful. I'm not usually a big fan of brunch buffets - often too many mediocre options. But everything we tried was delicious and the serving sizes were just right. Loved the little cups of yogurt and fruit!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful...very expensiveWonderful...very expensive wine list and menu, but oh what a dining experience. Bring your plastic! My friend said she just wants to live at the restaurant.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMA must go!We used the Groupon brunch deal and it exceeded all of our expectations! A truly upscale restaurant with amazing food and outstanding service!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMVery GoodWe really enjoyed our time. Our server was great. We have been here a few times and we will definitely be coming back. Only draw back was on a not-so-busy Friday night by 9pm they were sold out of the two items we first asked for.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMHave eaten here numerous times,Have eaten here numerous times, consistently good food, service, and experience.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMThis restaurant has a lotThis restaurant has a lot of great qualities. The food is imaginative and interesting for both foodies and those just looking for a good meal. Though on the high end of the cost spectrum, they often have special events and extended their "Restaurant Week" to about a month. Go upstairs and you will find a very nice bar. They have great happy hour specials that include a variety of unique drinks, classic cocktails and wine and little eats. The service in general is great.2/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWe loved everything--the RestaurantWe loved everything--the Restaurant Week menu, the food, the service, and the hospitality. The tables are a bit close for comfort--but it's New York; we get it!! This is the third David Burke restaurant we've visited, and we have not been disappointed in any of them!2/1/2013 12:00:00 AMMy friend and I had a 25 $My friend and I had a 25 $ pre fixe menu for lunch. For the appetizer, we had pretzel crab cake and garden salad. As lots of reviews say, the pretzel crab cake was very delicious! It was pretty big as an appetizer so we had to share. We had the dorade and quiche for our entres and they were also very good. The dorade was especially soft and juicy and the vegetables that came with the fish mingled very well with it. The quiche was actually a little salty due to the dried fish, which I forgot the name of. but the crust and the rest of the egg and vegetables were really yummy. As a dessert, we both had the dark chocolate cake with caramel ice cream which was to die for! The waiter poured the chocolate syrup after serving the dessert plates.2/1/2013 12:00:00 AMFood and service were good.Food and service were good. Empty bar glass and finished plates could have been cleared sooner than at my request. Music was not to my taste.12/31/2012 12:00:00 AMGive your review a title (optional)Food was great, but service a bit slow. We were there at the end of lunch, so I think the servers had lost their rhythm. Would definitely go back.12/7/2012 12:00:00 AM
