DatzI will certainly returnWe were there with a party of 4 for dinner. Each of us enjoyed our meals and found other items we would like to try on our future visits. Love that they use fresh ingredients and have many seasonal dishes as well as some standard dishes.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMDatzFirst visit to Datz was Saturday brunch with friends. Went back for dinner on Monday night. Fun place. Great food.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMOur server Chris was amazing! Our server Chris was amazing! It was my daughters birthday and I furnished a cake. Thought the servers would gather to sing Happy Birthday and it did not happen. We were disappointed! I assumed it was done there as most places do.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMReally enjoyed this place,Really enjoyed this place, can't wait for their bakery to open up to the public!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious, efficient, and boldWe ordered the Mac n' Cheese bites and Black Truffle Fries as apps and the Waffles n' Tweet and Vinny's Brisket Philly for dinner. Everything came out delicious - perfectly steaming hot, full of bold flavor, and in huge-enough-for-leftover-lunch portions. The apps weren't quite "large" but decently portioned (5 Mac bites, one normal order of fries). Great bar menu with many options running a typical $10/drink. Fast, friendly and efficient service from the time I first walked into the door until we walked out. Everyone from the hostesses, server, food runner, to busser were awesome. Just loved our experience and cannot wait until we are back in Tampa to try everything else...if I can stay away from those Chicken and Waffles!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMDatz, "One of a kind".Datz is "one of a kind". It started out as a deli and has evolved into a great casual restaurant. We have been many times and have always had a great experience.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat spot to please everyoneWe have been here several times and really enjoy the extensive menu. There is something for everyone, including vegans and vegetarians. Our party had glazed salmon, chicken and waffles, vegan stew, pork tacos and fish and crispers. No complaints! Carrot cake is a great choice for dessert. It's a little pricey, but you won't be disappointed!4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMBest of the bestDatz is my favorite restaurant in the entire country - hands down. I'm from a part of the Gulf Coast known for its culinary excellence, and I can't say that I've been anywhere that I enjoy quite as much as Datz.
I love how the menu changes from time to time; how everything is prepared with so much care and the service is always amazing. I'm also looking forward to when Dough opens next door.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMIve been to Datz about fourIve been to Datz about four or fives times now and I've done the text ahead reservations twice. And the first time we had no problems. But the second time I had to call and say I wanted to extend the reservation about 30 minutes and the host only gave us a 15 minute window instead of 30. When I needed the 30 minute window because of traffic and it was raining! But we arrived and were told that our reservation was canceled but we were seated right away! Which was fine in the end and I had no problems! Overall service was great and the food was amazing like always!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMBlown away!My husband and I have read a lot about Datz and decided to go for breakfast. We were blown away by the food, service, and the ambiance! I had the fried egg sammie with spinach, bacon, and the home fries cooked in bacon grease. So good! My husband has the corned beef hash and he loved it! We wanted to go back for lunch, but we were still full from our heavenly breakfast. I made reservations for lunch next Wednesday already. We both have already spread the word about Datz to co-workers and friends. The only bad thing is we don't live close to Datz, if we did we would eat there two to three times a week.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWent mid-afternoon to avoidWent mid-afternoon to avoid the crowds, and had an outside table. Burger was excellent, cooked med-rare as requested, and very flavorful. Philly brisket sandwich was large and tasty, primarily due to the melted provolone and the caramelized onions, less so the brisket itself which was a bit dry in spots. Included with both were delicious home made chips with blue cheese topping. Chocolate cake was huge, moist and most important, chocolatey. Fabulous beer selection, and they allowed us to taste a few before making a selection. Great place for a late lunch or early dinner, before an event at the TBT Forum.3/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
