Very pretty place! My friends and I were there on a Monday night so it was super quiet and we were able to linger and talk. The Menu offered a nice variety, but not overwhelming. There were quite a few things that I would return to try. Service was a little inconsistent, with plates placed in front of the wrong people and the wrong dessert brought out. This is concerning for such a slow night. We enjoyed our food and evening.

This was my second visit to the newly reopened Daryl. Excellent menu, food was terrific - every item - great wine list. I really like the option of 3,6,8 oz pours in order to try more wines with different courses. The service was very good as well.
Definitely a great addition to the restaurant scene in New Brunswick.

This was our first visit. For appetizers my husband got the shrimp salad - 4 big perfectly cooked shrimps with fennel and cucumber. I got the seafood dumplings in coconut broth which were light and full of flavor. For entrees, John got the tuna served rare as requested and I had the monkfish with wild mushrooms over spinach in red wine sauce. Portions are generous and the fish was very fresh and perfectly prepared. Wine list is extensive - we managed to find an Italian red for $35 that was so wonderful we bought a bottle from the wine shop and our server delivered it to our table! Desserts are divine too - John had the chocolate cake with peanut butter ice cream and I had the frozen mocha mousse with coffee froth. Great place!

Most everything was very good, but wine glasses were mixed up at Darlyls"Wine Bar". Reds were served in white wine glasses and whites in red wine glasses.Young servers perhaps who don"t drink wine?? Didn't have a chance to enjoy desert as we needed to get a show across the street at 7:30, our dinner reservation was for 6:00 (which we were a few minutes early). We like what they are doing there but we need to go back and make sure the minor flaws were temporary. I want to have a very good experience.

The food and service were outstanding. The worst part was how difficult it was to pick something off the menu. It all sounded so good. If I ever have to choose a last meal for some reason there is no doubt it would be the duck dish with the braised cabbage. My husband had the crispy chicken which was also excellent. Also, the portions are perfect. You can enjoy an appetizer, entree and dessert without feeling uncomfortably full. You will not be disappointed here.

First time back to Daryl's since it's reopening and it is better than ever.
The food was truly flavorful and beautifully presented.
The service was attentive; our waitress friendly and helpful in her suggestions
to our mixed group of foodies and those less experienced with food and wine.
Wonderful to have such a great restaurant in central NJ.
