Dante Ristorante PizzeriaA Little Italy in OmahaI love the drinks and food and can't wait to go back.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMReal Italian pizzaAfter living half way between Rome and Naples for seven years, then moving to Omaha, we've been looking for REAL Italian pizza. American pizza is not Italian. AND THIS IS! Thanks for a wonderful lunch. We had margarita and diavolo. So yummy!
We'll be back.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMTerrific as alwaysUnique, delicious food. Reasonably priced. Amazing wine list. Euro-style, warm ambiance in the heart of a suburban strip mall. Might be our favorite restaurant in Omaha.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGood, but not outstandingI visited this restaurant based on OpenTable reviews. I was alone, and despite the spacious restaurant, early time (5:15 pm) and nearly empty tables, I was strongly encouraged to sit alone at the bar. The bartender was somewhat engaging, but given the absence of business, preferred to organize the bar. I ordered a Diavolo pizza and a mini mushroom calzone appetizer. The pizza came out long before the appetizer, which was okay, because the appetizer was forgettable. The pizza was pretty good, although the spicy sausage was cut in large pieces from links and hard to bite through without taking the whole sausage piece. I'd go back in a group for the pizza, but I'd think carefully before getting another appetizer.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had gnocchi and grilledWe had gnocchi and grilled chicken gnocchi was perfect and chicken very flavorful Will return6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have eaten there severalWe have eaten there several times, always excellent. The best thin crust pizza I have ever had, and always tastes good with their wine selections.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGood spot! The Neapolitan-style pizza (thin, about 800 degrees for 1.5 minutes) is great as was the wait staff. The kitchen is open and you can see the pizza oven from the tables. If you are into bocce, they have tournaments one some weeknights.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMRabbit Risotto! YumOrder the Brussels Sprouts for an appetizer. they are wonderful. The rabbit risotto was excellent. My guests ordered the 'za, in spite of my suggestion they try the Pappradelle Bolognese, or the chicken livers.... I tried to tell them it would be Italian-style pizza....not "American-style". They said it was "okay" but not what they expected....They are notoriously picky eaters! However, they loved the s'more and the Italian pudding desserts! Addictive. I could live on the Brussels Sprouts and Italian pudding - that covers all the food groups, right? The staff make sure the two who ordered the pizza with the egg on top each had an egg on their half of the 'za! Talk about service! Andy was a wonderful server.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMA great place for catch upI wanted to take my friend out for dinner to celebrate her birthday. Dante was a wonderful place on a Monday nite. Neapolitan-style Pizza and a bottle of wine at a great price & chicken marsala. Started with Brussels sprouts as an appetizer. Yes, they ARE that good. Our birthday treat was Italian pudding....Ok, I wanted to lick the bowl, but didn't want to embarrass my friend. Took leftover marsala home for dinner Tuesday. Might have been even better nuked! My friend had the fungi pizza. She raved about it, too.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Italian In OmahaThe most under rated and the best for authentic italian food. It takes a bit of getting used to if your looking for lots of cheese and fillings on your pizza or a huge bowl of pasta you can take home and eat for days, but their made in house pasta is the best and their servers know wine and food and the menu.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMI'm not a big salmon (havingI'm not a big salmon (having lived in England - I got a bit over-salmoned) but on our servers suggestion I tried the Wild King Salmon special. I was told it had been flown in from Seattle that morning and it was beyond incredible! Great portion, crispy skin - absolutely the best fish I have tasted. It was served with new wood-roasted artichokes and arugula. Topped with a fantastic Terresole Brunello – a wonderful evening at one of Omaha’s best restaurants!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMQuality of ingredients & tasteQuality of ingredients & taste of food was excellent. Both of us in my party had pizza. Half of the outer crust on my pizza was fabulous as usual, but the other half was so burnt and hard as a rock which was extremely dissapointing. We dine @ Dante's at least once a week, if not more and this was the first time I was not 100% satisfied with the whole experience. Service is usually always outstanding as well, but the person who waited on us this time seemed to be new. She did okay, but certainly not to the level that we have become accustom to over the last several years since we've been regular customers.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMLinsey C.It's always a pleasant meal at Dante's! We have always had great food, good service, and an enjoyable evening. Sometimes the pizzas come before we are done enjoying our appetizers, which makes for an awkwardly crowded table, but lets be honest, im not going to complain about having too much food on my table at any given time! :)4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat service, good atmospheregreat service, good atmosphere and very good food. the Brussel Sprouts were superb!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAs a family, we absolutelyAs a family, we absolutely love coming here every time!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMFood is excellent as always.Food is excellent as always. The regular change to the menu are always very inspiring and unique. Things we thought we might not like, we loved.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat as always, we introducedGreat as always, we introduced some friends to Dantes Saturday night. They loved it and put it on their great dining list. Food is always excellent, true Italian, fresh ingredients, and great service. Love Dante's.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMYum!The food was better than ever, which I didn't think was possible. Had the chicken and gnocchi dish and I wanted to lick the bowl. My husband had the lamb chops and I've never seen him so silent as he was so focused on eating! I could eat here everyday. So delicious.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMWe love Dante's not only forWe love Dante's not only for the food, but also the atmosphere...it's a fun place and they have the best Brussel Sprouts, hands down, in the city!! Plus, now they make their own limoncello, which is another reason to go!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good as alwaysWent on Good Friday. Only nit is that there were no real Lenten specials. Really. But the pizza was great, As were my wife's salad and my Brussels sprouts (created without the pancetta).3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMFamily date nightWe have been going there once a week and just absolutely love it!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMOur server, Taylor was awesome! Our server, Taylor was awesome! Although the restaurant was closing at 3 for a wine dinner, we never felt rushed. Her recommendations for wine were spot on. The wines she suggested paired well with our food. Thanks for the great experience!3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic pizza and pastaThe pizza transported me back to Italy, and the house made pasta is better than moms (don't tell ma). Dante never disappoints.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was pretty good for glutenIt was pretty good for gluten free pizza. About 90% of their menu is gluten free or can be tailored to gluten free.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food is usually and fun.The food is usually and fun. I love going there for special occasions such as my birthday or Valentine's Day.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWent to Pitch the other night......Went to Pitch the other night............the pizza wasn't even close to Dante"s. The crust was like cardboard and the noise level made it impossible to talk. Dante's has lots of energy but the way it is set up, the noise is dispersed. And the menu doesn't compare. Dante's has the most unique and varied Italian sides and entres in the city.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMTop 5!Definitely in my Top 5 restaurants in Omaha. Love this place!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMLove, love, love! I thinkLove, love, love! I think I'm in love! Favorite restaurant in the city.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMDon't just go to dinner, dine!Dante Pizzeria Napoletana deserves its frequent place on Urbanspoon's top 10. Pasta is made in house, very fresh, never dried out and stored. The pasta concoctions are all to order, like ragu, which is never made ahead. They take a bit of time, the time required to do it right. So, enjoy a glass of Barbarella while you wait. In a bit of a hurry? The pizzas are the choice. Dough is made daily, hand thrown and the ingredients: San Marzano tomatoes from the region around Naples, authentic Italian meats, cheeses and very well matched veggies. The time is quick, as the wood fired oven, unlike the electric ones at pizzerias "wannabes", is red hot. Average of 90 seconds seems to bake them just right.
Deserts wow!3/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
