Dan'l Webster InnRetirement PartyMy girlfriends took me here to celebrate my retirement. The food and service was excellant.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMAccomodatingWe arrived early and asked for seating in a different room. No problem. (But this was off-season on the Cape.) Dinner choices were excellent. A big plus is the availability of "demi-plates" to suit every appetite.6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMNice LunchThis is a great place to meet friends from the Cape if you are coming from the South Shore. The atmosphere is lovely and the menu is well thought out. Maybe it's just me, but my pet peeve is when a waitress tells you the specials and doesn't mention the price. I hate to ask. My friends ordered the special. It was one of the highest priced items on the menu.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AM40th Anniversarywe were seated promptly in a nice corner table. Our server did a fantastic job, I tried something I hadn't had before. Presentation was beautiful. Great experience.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMA Sandwich GemThere are not that many "genuine" fine dining restaurants left on the Cape but the Dan'l Webster Inn is certainly one of them. I have a difficult time hearing but with a seasoned waitress, she understood and accentuated her words to where I did not have to ask her to repeat herself. The restaurant is nice and quiet with a pleasant ambience.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMrainy saturday on cape codWith two visiting family members from Tennessee we had a delightful dining experience in the lovely Atrium room. Both they and we, locals from Duxbury, were pleased and impressed. Thank you...5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMFanntasticThe food was FANTASTIC, we had great service. We are going their again and have recommended to all of our friends.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMOur fifth visit to this restaurantOur fifth visit to this restaurant - food and service was superb - will be coming back5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWE WERE THERE FOR LUNCH ONWE WERE THERE FOR LUNCH ON A THURSDAY AND SEATED FOR LUNCH BY THE FLOOR-TO-CEILING WINDOWS OF THE CONSERVATORY.. WONDERFUL AND UNIQUE AMBIANCE. FINE FRESH INGREDIENTS AND FRIENDLY EFFICIENT STAFF.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMold style but goodThis hotel restaurant is in an elegant patio environment with large trees and potted plants and plate glass windows overlooking a garden. The food is much more imaginative than you might expect from the fundamentally traditional atmosphere, the wine list is outstanding and the low noise level makes for a place that can be as romantic as you want it to be. The service is also obviously first class, friendly without being chummy and very well-trained.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMDinner with friendsWE are repeat dinners. This is a great place. Excellent food, 1st class service.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMI requested to be seated inI requested to be seated in the conservatory and enjoyed the view of greenery, a waterfall and streambed with colorful fish, tiny lights under the glassed roof, etc. Service was attentive and prompt. The food was above average. I appreciated the choice of wines by the glass and dessert wines (Port, etc.). For a more casual dining environment you can ask to be seated in the tavern. I also enjoyed two breakfasts at the hotel--one in the conservatory and one in the inside dining room.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day Breakfast BuffetTook my Mom out to the Daniel Webster's Mother's Day breakfast buffet and everything was great! Food was really delicious and the service was superb.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMothers Day buffetI thought there would be more special additions to the buffet but it seemed to be the normal breakfast buffet. Would have liked more brunch type items.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA little pricey but nice nonethelesA little pricey but nice nonetheless. Food was good, the side door was open and the wind kept blowing napkins off the table. The staff soon noticed this and closed the door5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were a little disappointedWe were a little disappointed because drove out there to have their "Poached Lobster" and was told they were out of lobster. We ended up having prime rib which was tender and very tasty. We hope next time we can get the lobster. They miss a star because of not having everything on the menu, otherwise it would have been 5 stars across the board.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMCape Cod Canal Dining in SandwichWe were surprised to find the restaurant in a lovely inn with both formal and tavern dining. The food presentation in the formal dining area was first class; the food was tasty. The warm spinach salad with bacon and cranberries was delicious; the seafood risotto was loaded with seafood, and entree portions can be ordered in both full and half sizes. Along with one glass of merlot, we enjoyed the dinner rolls along with our meal. A stroll through the quaint town of Sandwich is a must either before or after the meal.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food, prompt serviceGood food, prompt service and delicious
atmosphere.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMI planned a luncheon meetingI planned a luncheon meeting with a client, and when booking asked for a quiet table in the Daniel Webster conservatory dining room. Not only were we seated in the perfect spot, our server was more than patient with our Slow-food approach to ordering, as well as our lingering over an extra pot of coffee. Granted, the place was almost empty on a Monday; however, the graciousness of all the staff, particularly our server, would motivate me to return. The food was good, too.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMI have been going to Dan'lI have been going to Dan'l Webster for years since I live close by. We were very disappointed with our waiter took too long to get our bread, even the dessert menu, plus our checks. I figure he must be new since I have never seen him there before.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely quiet dinner in theLovely quiet dinner in the Conservatory Room with delicious food and great service.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a great meal there.Always a great meal there. The menu had something for everyone and the server was very knowledgeable about the contents. The food was very good and the ingredients tasted very fresh. We will be back!4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMThe inn is a great lace forThe inn is a great lace for a special occasion or just dining out. The food is excellent and the staff is extremely accomodating. We dined in the Conservatory Room overlooking a small waterfall and fish pool. It was a very nice atmosphere especially on a sunny day. We also enjoyed the menu on the Sunday Early Menu from 4:30 to 6 PM. Excellent food, variety and a very good value. It's a 45 minute drive from where we live but well worth the trip. We will definitely be back4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Daniel Webster is A great placeWe had a delicious dinner here on Friday night and then an abundant buffet brunch Sunday noon, very enjoyable in every way!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMThe DWI Made Our Easter Memorable! We are a family of 4. Our kids are 18 & 11 years old. We were at the restaurant for Easter lunch. The service was fabulous; attentive, but not intrusive. The menu was not overwhelming & we all found things we liked. When our soups & salads arrived, they were delicious. Our entrees were scrumptious. Although we were full, we ordered desserts. They were also tasty. All-in-all, we loved our experience & we will definitely recommend the Dan'l Webster Inn & we will return as customers.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGood well cooked foodHave eaten here twice and not disappointed. Great service and good value for money. Nothing was too much trouble for the waiting staff and happy to offer smaller plates for smaller appetite.
Great tasting food with regional fresh seasonal veg/and or salad. Could never manage a dessert but they looked delightful.6/2/2012 12:00:00 AM
