Diner Reviews
  • "We celebrated our 46th anniversary with a meal at Daniel's Broiler in Bellevue. We shared the fillet and lobster plate and it was outstandingly delicious. We'll be back for future celebrations."

  • "Attitude problems from Hostess, major screw up on order and overcooked steak; in the future I'll have drinks in the bar for the view but eating my steaks at John Howie!"

  • "The moment we arrived the staff made sure we were taken care of. The food and service were excellent."

  • "We loved the fresh lobster. Best we ever had. My brother-in-law had a steak and loved it as well. We are from Spokane and will eat here again."

  • "Overall it met my expectations. Food was great but I was disappointed with my seating location. I made the reservation a week in advance and asked for a window seat in the special request portion of my reservation. When I asked why they were not able to accommodate my request with a week notice I was told that seating id not guaranteed. I thought that was unacceptable for a weeks notice and a $200 plus dinner."

  • "With a window seat the views are beautiful. Service was the poorest I have ever had in over 14 years of eating there. Service was slow, the waiter forgot a glass of wine. Food was great as usual."

  • "The food, service and view of Daniel's Boiler were outstanding, however, the room temperature of the restaurant was insufferable. People were having to mop their brows with the table napkin it was soo hot. Even though it was a very hot day, it is inexcusable to not have an air conditioning system with sufficient capacaity to keep the room comfortable. I highly recommend the Daniel's Boiler in Bellevue for non-summer months, but I do not recommend it for warm days."

  • "Daniel's Broiler is consistently one of, if not, the best steak (and other food) house on the Eastside! The service is impeccable, the food is far and above all other and we always enjoy our experience there."
    Dined on 7/1/2014
  • "I have been to Daniel's many times but this time was with my 13 year old daughter whom I have not seen in 11 years. As requested they seated us on the balcony in the corner table which has the only view of Mt. Rainier and an incredible view of Lake Washington. The service is impeccable as always, food wonderful and for me truly a memorable evening with my daughter. I highly recommend them, especially for that special dinner and if the weather is right, ask for the outside."

  • "This is the place to go for a special occasion with a great scenic view from 21 stories up and outdoor dining available! The steaks are cooked to perfection and the appetizers, salads and sides are all delicious. The service was first class as well!"

  • "It has been a while since I have enjoyed an evening of fine dining at Daniels in Bellevue. This has always been one of my favorite spots in the Seattle area. The service here is unquestionably the best in the Northwest. I enjoyed the pop corn shrimp as an appetizer, and of course I had a prime rib and baked potato in my thoughts as I made this reservation. My wife enjoyed the stuffed shrimp, and they were awesome. Prior to dining we leisurely enjoyed a couple of cocktails, and with dinner we each enjoyed a fine glass of wine. And because it was my birthday, I was served a complimentary desert which was also amazing. What a truly great evening!"

  • "This is definitely for those on expense account. Un impressed with food. Big ticket prices. View is nice to impress your customers."

  • "I was there for father's day with my family. The table was great, overlooking Bellevue, Lake Washington, and Seattle. Waiter was cordial, accommodating, and helpful. Between us, we had a seafood appetizer sampler, lobster tail and baked potato, steak and broccolini, caesar salad. The food was scrumptious. The sommelier helped us pick out a great bottle of pinot noir, and spent time telling us about wine selection. Interesting. Overall, we had a wonderful time, the ambiance was great, and I would go back in a heartbeat."

  • "Daniel's Broiler is a "must" whenever we visit Bellevue. The steaks are outstanding and the service friendly and excellent. Where else do they bring a flashlight and invite you to cut into the middle of the steak to make sure it is done to your liking? The appetizers and side dishes are also outstanding, particularly the shrimp & blue cheese salad and the creamed spinach."

  • "Excellent restaurant and food. Struggle with paying $10 for a glass of champagne that costs less than $9 for the entire bottle at retail?"
    Dined on 6/14/2014
  • "Good food with a great view, but would expect to have incredibly good service with those kind of prices."

  • "My wife and I booked a 7pm reservation, but showed up at 6:15 to take advantage of the bar. The ambiance was fun and the view from 21 stories up was phenomenal. While the food was fantastic, I would say, the steaks are pretty much the same as an Outback filet HOWEVER; the occasion demanded something above and beyond the usual. The service was exemplary. Thank you!"

  • "Thank you for making our family dinner celebration a unique and memorable evening. Our friendly, funny and engaging waitperson, Lou, was at the top of his game keeping my father-in-law on his toes. The bacon scallops were delicious and the steak perfect as usual."

  • "We had reservations on a Tuesday evening at 7:30 from Opentable, which we thought wouldn't be a problem. We ended up waiting OVER 45 minutes after the reservation time, which I think it not close to being acceptable for a higher end restaurant. Isn't that the whole point of reservations? I can understand waiting for 10 - 15 minutes past the reservation time, but that was ridiculous. We weren't the only angry ones that night who had reservations and didn't get seated for a long time. They did compensate with complimentary appetizers, which really was the least they could do. I don't plan to go back any time soon."

  • "My husband had salmon, one of the specials, and it had an interesting flavor, not bad but not amazing either. I had the crab stuffed prawns. I found cartilage in my crab and the flavor was just ok. My potatoes weren't even close to being done. At the end of our meal they brought us a nice brownie dessert for our anniversary. We ate on the lanai which was beautiful but the food wasn't worth repeating."

  • "The service was outstanding. The food was dead on perfect and the atmosphere was very romantic. Todd our waiter was great and very helpful. He answered all of our questions that we had. It was our prom dinner and he even brought us a little something for us at the end. Perfect place!"

  • "As always, impeccable service, fabulous food and beautiful views. Our waiter was there when we needed him and attentive in just the perfect degree. This is the perfect spot for business lunch and great for out of town guests."

  • "I have had the opportunity to have eaten at Daniel's broiler over the last 10 years and the food remains good but I have noticed that the service is not what it used to be for the prices charged. If you are looking for a traditional steak house for a business meeting this is still a good spot. If you are looking for something modern and memorable for a special occasion maybe not so much anymore."

  • "We've dined at the South Lake Union location before, so this was our first time at Bellevue. This was a special birthday dinner. The food at every step was just wonderful. I especially liked the bacon-wrapped scallops - heartily endorse those! Our party ordered rib eyes and prime rib. Just delicious. They brought a special birthday dessert for our birthday boy, and it was at no charge. Very nice of them to do so. Just a great experience all the way around."

  • "Good food, good atmosphere, good service and great view. Great piano bar. Be prepared to pay $70 to $80 per person for dinner and drink."

  • "We had reservation do were seated right away. Spot outside was great and had nice view. Server forgot about us then apologized. I asked for lemons for water several times. Refills took awhile. My halibut came with the exchanged side but the other side I asked to exchange for I got charged. The server didn't tell me there was an additional charge. Food was great! "

  • "What an amazing dinner. We went to celebrate our anniversary and everything was perfect. Food was delicious and perfectly cooked. Our server never rushed us and had wonderful suggestions. We were there for 4 hours and enjoyed every moment and bite. Truly the perfect dinner."

  • "Took a while for the waiter to notice us and we were seated at a table that did not have a window so we missed out on the view. The food is always good but this time my steak was a little tough. Similar for my wife's steak. It was very good but not outstanding."
    Dined on 5/23/2014
  • "My wife's Steak Oscar was everything she expected but my Lobster Salad was a bust. Lots of Lobster meat but very few greens and the vinaigrette was so heavy that I couldn't taste anything else except the endive which was very bitter."

  • "I was a bit surprised at the low level of service and very high noise levels at Bellevue Daniels on Saturday night. In my opinion, a big part of the problem was our table for 6 was in an overflow room used for presentations and lucky us there was a table of about 16-18 right next to us, thus making the noise level off the charts. Our server was off on almost every stage of taking our order and when food arrived, making for a more unpleasant experience for our daughter's 10th birthday. Be careful if the front desk puts you in one of these rooms.. might be a better decision just to wait longer for main dining area."

  • "Took our daughter and friends to Daniel's Broiler for her sweet 16. The service was top notch as well as the ambiance. The food, I'd say was ok. I think some of this has to do with the fact that it is a broiler, so it can be a challenge to prepare some of the dishes perfectly. I ordered the porterhouse, med-rare, both times it came out more medium to medium well. I felt bad by the second time they had prepared it, so i just said it was fine, however even the second piece was more on the medium side. Our other dishes however were better. I'd still recommend it to friends. But it wasn't the best that I had had, even when I had dined there previously."

  • "I took a group of 6 to Daniels as a small wedding rehearsal dinner party. I wanted to "wow" the bride and groom-to-be and boy did Daniel's deliver! Our server Michael was perfect. Best balance of humor, attentiveness, and knowledge of any server I've had in years. Every aspect of the cocktails, appetizers, food, and wine were superb. I still dream of the porterhouse steak I had that night. The only other steaks I can compare it to was from Morton's or at the Chef's Table dining experience I had while sailing on Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas. It is the steak you want for your last meal. Everyone else at the table was as emphatic about their cuts as I was from the fillets and ribeyes, even lamb chops. BRAVO to Daniels Broiler!"

  • "We were treated with such respect and appreciation from the moment we walked in to when we left. It was an expensive dinner but well worth it for an anniversary celebration. It was a memorable experience! "

  • "We really enjoyed our evening and our waiter Roy was fantastic. The food was incredible and the surprise birthday dessert for my wife was a very nice touch!"

  • "The food was amazing and the portions were perfect. Our waitress was very accommodating. The view was gorgeous and they listened to my request for a window seat. My fiancee said, however, that the bathroom was pretty nasty, unlike one you would expect from a nice restaurant like that."
