The dining room was breathtaking, with tables spaced far apart from one another with beautiful decor. The service was beyond perfect. The staff was so professional, without any attitude whatsoever. They truly made us feel that they were thrilled to have us as their guests. Every course was beautiful and unbelievably delicious. The scallops as an appetizer were the best I've ever eaten. The duo of beef was also wonderful. They kept bringing out little plates to enjoy between courses, and everything was incredible. I can't recommend Daniel enough. We will return."

  • "Although it was the most expensive meal my wife and I have ever had (beat our previous best meal of $500) we think it was worth every dollar. The entire staff were always gracious and helpful, never rushed us and we even had the opportunity to view one of the kitchens. As far as the food we each had different 7 course meals and were also treated to 2 pre dinner and 3 post dinner samples. Not one tasting disappointed. I feel the reason this restaurant has been around for 20 years and continues to be a hard reservation to get- we were unsuccessful at Christmas time-is because they truly prepare excellent food and provide the best service possible.   • "In my recent trip to NY, I dined at several Michelin starred restaurants such as Le Bernardin, Daniel, Eleven Madison Park, JungSik, Marea, Jean Georges etc. And, Daniel was one of my favourite experiences! We had the 7 course tasting menu and every dish was a piece of art. The attention to detail, quality of products, flavor combinations were outstanding. The service was very professional and attentive. We even had a kitchen tour and it was really impressive to see how well organized and clean the kitchen was."

  • "My husband and I went to Daniel to celebrate his birthday. It was a fantastic experience. All the servers were extremely amiable and courteous. We opted for a 3 course dinner thinking that we couldn't handle a 7 course, and so glad we did. As vegetarians, they catered to our diet preferences - before, in between and after the courses we were treated to small delicious bites. We were so stuffed by the end of the evening, we couldn't think of food for a good 12 hours after. They even brought out a special dessert to commemorate his birthday. It was amazing."

But the exceptional quality of the courses, as well as the service my wife and me were provided, made our experience at your place one of the most memorable souvenirs of foodie. The food was creative in an accessible way, colorful and tasty. The staff was aknowledged but not pedantic, and really made us feel like we were special, in a careful and generous way. Thanks to you I also discovered this brilliant wine producer, Peay, who is soon gonna be imported to Norway. I will recommend, and come back in a hopefully not so distant future."

  • "There is a separate vegetarian 7 course dinner as well as a fish and meat 7 course dinner. Unlike some of the better restaurants, Daniel allows Vegetarians to eat 7 full courses. Wonderful food and service. Kids were happy, although it takes a long time to serve all the courses (kids started countdown) although when desert arrived, all was well."

  • "Simply put this restaurant is one of the best restaurants in the world. The décor is stunning. It is opulent, breathtaking and yet charming. Service is what you would expect from the best. Efficient, courteous, knowledgeable of both the food and wine and discretely present. Just when your glass needs a refill service is at hand. Food is presented and cleared in unison. We chose the 3 course fixed menu with accompanying wine. Both the food and accompanying wines were beautiful. The Oven Baked Sea Bass with Syrah Sauce and the Duo of Beef were highlights. This restaurant is a must for anyone with a passion for food and wine. It is simply one of the best."

Our meal, the chef's tasting menu, was 7 course and was perfect in every way. At the end of our meal we were not overly full nor were we hungry. Overall, this is definitely a place I would eat again while visiting the city."

  • "My friend and I went to Daniel for dinner around 545. Upon arriving, everyone greeted us. The service at Daniel is absolutely remarkable. Daniel isn't just a restaurant, its a whole experience. The waiter was very accomadating with my food allergies and went down the whole menu picking out all the nut-free dishes. The food was also outstanding! We had the 3 course meal. They brought out an extra dessert dish that spelled out "welcome home" in syrupt with a piece of sherburt fruit cake which was SO thoughtful. We even got to take a tour of the kitchen! Daniel wasnt in the back, but it was still really cool to see. Overall, WOW. I knew Daniel was good from reading the reviews, but this experience surpassed all of my expectations"

The only fail was that we ordered two glass of white wine in the bar as soon we arrive and they informed that our table was ready. Wine took long to arrive at our table and I called the waiter saying I would like to cancel and order a bottle of red wine to have it with the food. Not only they canceled but brought immediately to the table as a courtesy and apologized about what happened. Maitre, waiters, sommelier were very good."

  • "This is not my first time here; however it was a complete disappointment. I made the reservs as a surprise wedding present for friends who were en-route from Geneva to their honeymoon and had a layover for 22 hours in NYC. We got the tasting menu & of each course, only 2 were good;. One of these been the amuse, the other the lamb which was perfectly executed. There were numerous dishes that were unimpressive, bland like the arctic chard, and few that were outright over powering with so many entwined flavors such as the Scottish langoustines left us confused. Our server as well as the sommelier were a true gem, who made our dinner a much better experience. A truly disappointing experience as I expected more from such a well respected place."
