  • "I have been comig to damons for years. Good service and good food. Last visit was less then enjoyable. Bad waiter felt rushed and two of the four meals were bad. Had a tough blackened rib eye steak? Even the coconut shrimp was over cooked. Very disappointed!"

  • "I had the salmon filet and my friend had the filet mignon. We also both had the sautéed peas. All three dishes were excellent! I also had the IPA on tap. Delicious! My only complaint about the food was the bread. Very dry and tasteless. The environment had very high energy and the host was extremely friendly. The biggest negative about our experience was the rather unfriendly server. She was very efficient but also very indifferent."

  • "Damon's has been one of favs for many years. Unfortunately, sometimes things change. The service was OKAY, and the food was OKAY. Nothing terrible, just not as good as in previous years. The table was not clean when we were directed there, so we waited until someone came to clean it. The salad, which used to be one of things we really liked, was just not as cold and crispy as it should have been. Oh we'll go back, maybe not quite as often."

  • "Hadn't heard much about the restaurant but had past it many times. Thought we'd give it a try and were a bit taken aback from the moment we walked in the door. The rear entrance wreaked of smoke the decor looked like we were eating in the tiki tiki room. The carpets looked like they've been there since the Reagan administration and even the duct tape that joined the carpet seams together could have used a fresh role. Service was slow and the food matched the ambiance. Definitely not a hot spot."

  • "We heard of Damon's on-line and it was full of glowing reviews. The food was good and the service was friendly, but it seemed that the staff had there hands full. The restaurant is pretty noisy when it fills up and for those of us that like to have a nice conversation over dinner, we have to raise our voices to be heard. We were seated in a "backroom" area that was much warmer than the main dining room. This was a little uncomfortable at first but we adjusted. Overall we did enjoy our meal, but I'm not sure that I would return when I'm back in town, there are plenty of other good options available."

  • "Pretty good food. The calamari was great! The steaks lack seasoning, but are extremely tender and well cooked. I'm not a fan of beets, so it would have been nice to know that the salad it riddled with shredded beets...was not a fan of this salad additive. The server was great!"

Good waitress but unable to attend to us as she had too many tables. Never asked about food after served by other staff. Would have sent one order back for more cooking if she had. Food was generally good but smaller portions for more money. Never offered desert. Mai tais good which helped but none of our night was great."

  • "The first time we went the food and experience was outstanding. The brisket the wife and her sister always orders was outstanding with a bit of fat which is to be expected. Lately, after several visits, the rule is that a good chunk of the brisket, at lease a third is fat and the last time the sister only got about 2 ounces of eatable meat. We had a reservation for 5 and we got stuck in a table designed for 2. Needless to say not good for the necessary dishes. Our server Helen, is the best. Hopefully next month it will be better although going to Jax has been mentioned instead of Damon's"

  • "It was an interesting evening. The food was good would likely have it again. Be décor is cluttered and appears dusty - probably isn't but has that vibe...carpet was torn and duct taped. They were understaffed. First server came by and took a appetizer and drink order for the first two to arrive. I asked a question and she said she was really busy and wasn't our server so she couldn't answer any questions. But our server was on the way in. After managing to get drinks for the other two in our party, we decided the next time our new server came around we just needed to order everything as we might not see her again. But the servers were courteous and knowledgeable...probably a staffing issue."

  • "Damon's is a fun and lively place. The crowd is a mix of old and young and the food was tasty and fresh. I had the salad to start and my husband had a veg/ beef soup which was homemade & delicious. The salad was also very good. I also had a steak which I ordered "medium", but it showed up well done. My husband had a pasta which was delicious. My husband has a severe peanut allergy and we were disappointed that the waitress was unable to tell us if there were peanuts in a specific dessert. I love the idea of the tropical decor, but many of the fixtures have seen better days. The lamp above our table was cracked and dirty and the bathroom was bordering on gross. Time for a thorough cleaning and minimal updates would make a big difference."

  • "This steakhouse was nothing to write home about. The decor reminded me of Islands restaraunt. So that was a bit strange. The menu options were very limited and little variety. The prices were way to expensive for the poor quality of preparation and flavor. This was a place my grandma picked to celebrate her birthday. I will not return here on my own accord. The service was less than favorable as well. Out waitress took at least 20 minutes to return to our table after drinks were served to obtain our food order."

  • "they have expanded their menu over the years and now it's a hodgepodge of steak, pasta and bbq. they should stick with what they do well - steak and sides. damon's is a step up from black angus with better atmosphere (tiki with leatherette booths). the cocktails are not great - was served the worst bloody mary i've ever had here (in a short rocks glass, no less)."

  • "Went with the kids for a late lunch. Perfect time to go with kids!! My husband tried the pastrami sandwich this time. He said it was excellent! It looked huge to me. I had the open-face steak sandwich. It was your basic sandwich. Kids just love their shrimp and fries. And let's not forget the delicious chi-chi's!!! Great service! Happy new Year!!!"
