Diner Reviews
  • "Always dependable...always delicious...always friendly and warm. Just great...do go!"

  • "Always a joy to visit this nice little restaurant with the ambiance of a little French country inn. Good food, peaceful décor and terrific wait staff. Can't wait to return."

  • "We completely enjoyed our dinner and dining at Dalya's on 4/5/2014. There have been many memorable occasions celebrated there - all wonderful! We particularly love the servers. This time we had Robyn and she was great. Added a lot to our night out. The food, of course, was just as good as previous visits. I am sure there will be more occasions in the near future and more just dinners for two!!"

  • "I ordered fried calamari and it came with potato chips, tartar sauce, hummous and chili peppers. The combination was weird, and the potato chips were cold and greasy, as if they had been fried earlier and left to sit. My main dish was salmon and it had some sort of weird non-descript sauce on it. Dessert was lemon mousse, and it had an off-putting fake lemon taste. I will not be going back."

  • "Dalyas is special because of the quality of the menu, food, staff, management and ambience. I highly recommend it."

  • "We have gone to Dalyas (and its predecessor in Lexington) for our entire 25 year marriage. We have never been disappointed. The food is great. The service is impeccable. The price, while on the high side is absolutely worth it. The difference between Dalyas and the next runner up in the area is immense."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Dalya's. Service was excellent and the food was outstanding!"

  • "Went to Dalia's for the first time this week and was surprised that Bedford had such a fine restaurant. Everything was perfect. The food, the wine, the table, the waiter. I went with a group of 6 women from work, all from out of town. I like to take them to upscale restaurants while they are here and I was not disappointed with Dalia's. We could all hear each other speak, which has been an issue at other restaurants. The wine and food was outstanding. Our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable and down to earth. I wouldn't change a thing about our experience."

  • "went with a group of friends for a birthday celebration. the staff was outstanding, menu had a great selection, and the food was excellent. Great time by all, great food."

  • "Very nice service, professional staff, classic decor, low noise, good food. Eclectic selection of Mediterranean and Italian cousine, but those hardcore fans can always find a good burger and fries there as well. The place may not be suitable for daily dining due to its higher-than average prices, but surely a nice restaurant for a family reunion or a romantic dinner for 2."

  • "I have dined at Dalya several times and always had a good experience. This past time was during Dine Out Boston week and the menu was outstanding. There were 3 of us and we each ordered different things and shared bites. Ever thin I tasted was outstanding."
    Dined on 3/20/2014
  • "The food was quite good. It is the only reason we would consider going back. The appetizer, and dinner were well above average! The server promptly came over with water and asked if we knew what we would like. That was the last time we saw her on time the rest of the meal. She forgot my wife's wine, and after 25 minutes she finally brought it without even an apology. For the rest of the meal we barely saw her again. At one point she completely forgot we were there (she admitted this to us)! I am a very easy going person when it comes to dining out. Please make sure we have drinks and promptly ask if there is anything else we would like. We are at your restaurant to spend money. We will not be spending our money there again any time soon."

  • "We have dined at Dalya's many times in the past for lunch and dinner. Everything from the food to the service has really gone down hill. I took my two great aunts and my mother there or lunch thinking it would be something different than a chain restaurant. We were all very disappointed. We each ordered something different and all of our meals were lukewarm and not the most appealing presentations. My aunt ordered the pulled pork sandwich and hardly touched it. The salads which came with the sandwiches and crab cakes that I ordered was over dressed and the lettuce was wilted. The waitress wasn't the most friendly and made a couple of sarcastic comments. We won't be going to there again for a very long time, if ever."

  • "Our server's name was Robyn. She was pleasant, knowledgeable about the wine list and places to visit in the local community."
    Dined on 3/21/2014
  • "Overall an average experience. Food was fine, but nothing amazing or 'wow' about the food, ambience or service. Portions were decent but even though it was projected to be an upscale neighborhood restaurant, the quality of ingredients or how the dishes came together was just ok. For the price, I would think it was over-priced in terms of quality of dish overall. Service was also OK, not too warm or welcoming."

  • "Exceptional food, service, and drinks. I ordered salmon which was great, but next time I will order the shrimp, scallops and lobster over risotto. Amazing!"
    Dined on 3/19/2014
  • "Had a nice and quit atmosphere, service was quick and polite. The food was good and presented well. the food was a bit pricey."

  • "Dalya's menu is delightful, with a selection of foods not found elsewhere, such as the salad with stuffed Medjoul dates, or the entrée with roasted duck and quinoa, or the papardelle with rabbit. The seafood stew was outstanding, with each of the many fishes (salmon, swordfish, scallops, mussels, clams, shrimp) cooked just so and not overcooked or rubbery as so often is the case with mixed fish. Portion sizes are hearty, so I was pleasantly surprised that my leftover stew reheated so nicely the next day. The ambience is generally on the quiet side, which is a nice change of pace from "theme" restaurants. The service is always professional."

  • "The location and menu would have you believe you were going to have a great dining experience. The restaurant is old, decor outdated, no ambience, no bar area. You walk in and are directed to the coat closet to hang up your clothing. Wait staff was nice and attentive. Food presentation was non-existent. Looked more like your plate at a family dinner. Menu prices not commensurate with menu choices."
    Dined on 2/28/2014
  • "The food is good although the menu is limited. I had the seafood risotto and the lobster was chewy. The restaurant was very cold and members of our party had to keep their coats on."

  • "The Lady's salmon was done to perfection. My Seafood Stew was excellent; shrimp, scallops, clams, mussels, swordfish, and salmon plus potato cubes and veggies all in a richly robust stock. I loved it."
    Dined on 2/20/2014
  • "We have never been disappointed with our dinning experience at Dalya's. The Moroccan Style Lamb Loin was prepared just as i requested, the sides were great. The swordfish special was also a great dish. We would recommend Dalya's for a special occasion or just a quite night out dinner."

  • "Dined at the first seating. Service felt a bit rushed. Next course would arrive before previous course's plates were cleared. Happened with each course. Food was very good."

  • "My wife and I have dined here on four (4) occassions over the past couple of years. We have never been anything but amazed at the great meal we had there. To be sure, it is an expensive meal. That is why we only go there on special occassions. We have always felt that we got what we paid for. Everything that is put on your plate is perfectly and deliciously prepared. We talk about the meal for days afterward. We will certainly return."

  • "Have been dining at this eatery for over 15 years. In my opinion it was always a solid choice with better than average food. But it seems to have stagnated and settled for being consistently average. Pasta dishes have big portions and are a good choice, salmon and beef dishes are pretty standard and boring, deserts were above average. Still a good old standby, but would not rush to dine there again. The menu needs to be revitalized."

  • "Restaurant was full, however service was timely and efficient.. Menu was extensive. Food was well prepared and more than adequate quantity. Highly recommended."

  • "Went on Valentines day so a bit more busy and confused. The restaurant did a wonderful job with the seating, though. Food was wonderful."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "We had reservations for 8:15p but weren't seated until ~8:40 and could see empty seats from the last round of diners. Everyone was crammed near the door with wait staff trying to squeeze through. I realize they are busy for valentine's day, but would expect some better pre-planning to ensure there's enough hosts to keep the ingress process running efficiently. The food was very good, the wait staff was excellent, the barbershop quartet was entertaining, and the complimentary roses were a nice touch. Everyone was friendly and helpful despite being the end of a very long and busy day for them. We would return for another meal there, but perhaps not on a busy special occasion to avoid the crowd and waiting."

  • "Though we were advised that their computers could not handle separate checks, our waitress did the arithmetic and advised what each of us owed including 18% tip. Each of us finished every bite on our plate. That speaks well especially for the mussels and Caesar salads."

  • "I have taken many people to dine at Dalya's Restaurant and never had a bad dinner or service. Have tried every meal on the menu over the years and every one past my expectation. From the outside it did not look much but on the inside it was roomy, clean and space between the tables The reception was excellent and nobody was in a hurry."

  • "Dalya's is always dependable...food is delicious and the wait staff so friendly. We love it because it's like eating in your living room, but not having to do any of the work! Very warm, welcoming and delish!"

  • "Our server, Tracy was perfect for our party of 6. She was prompt, had a great sense of humor and anticipated all needs perfectly. We were particularly impressed that she noticed our error on writing a tip on the credit card receipt and made sure to correct it so as not to overcharge us. We appreciate the honesty & we will be back for sure."

  • "A bit pricey, seems petty to charge for soda refill, $2.95 each. Food was very good, but a bit over priced."

  • "This is a place where you go for the FOOD. It is wonderfully prepared and presented. Great care is taken with the details of both. The dishes are complex with multiple complementary ingredients. The ambience is homey and warm. If you are looking for a Bud Light and a burger while you watch the Bruins go someplace else, thankfully there is no TV!"

  • "Great service, outstanding meal, comfortable surroundings made the perfect start to the New Year. With all the chain restaurants around it is refreshing to enjoy a great meal in a family owned business."

  • "Finding ourselves in the Boston area for New Year's Eve, we wanted to have an early dinner in a nice restaurant. Found Dalya's on-line and it did not disappoint! The 4 course prix-fixe meal was delicious, especially the lobster bisque, and the dessert sampler was wonderful, as I didn't have to make a choice!. There are two dining areas, and ours was upstairs - very quiet, server was attentive, with no feeling of being rushed. Glad we found it, would definitely go back again."

  • "After an exhausting holiday season, Dalya's on New Year's Eve was a welcome relief. Well prepared meal with lots of unusual pairings. Quiet and pretty. Festive without being goofy. A lovely way to welcome in the new year when you have long since given up clubs and parties."
