Dallas Fish MarketExcellent Fish in DallasOn a business trip in Dallas and found this restaurant within walking distance of my hotel. My colleagues and I enjoyed a salmon sashimi appetizer, seabass and the sautéed spinach. Good wine list. Some creative touches such as green apple cotton candy after dinner. Excellent service - gave us good advice and keep an eye on us but not intrusive. Got a little noisy as the night wore on (Sat night) - my only complaint.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day Hit!!Took my Mom to Dallas Fish Market for Mother's Day and it was a BIG hit. We loved everything about the place and the food was AWESOME. The shrimp cocktail had the biggest/most delightful shrimp; the beet/mango salad was fabulous and our salmon dinner on a bed of risotto with baby shrimp and sauce was PERFECT. Thanks for making Mother's Day so special.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMStaff that Understands BusinessI have been here on numerous occasions for lunch meetings and every time, the staff has been exceptional. They are not pushy and can see we are having a conversation. This is so unique among restaurants today. I highly recommend for business lunches. The food is exceptional and their "Power Lunch" is a great value without sacrificing quality. The originality and offerings are exceptional.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMVery enjoyableFirst night dinner in Dallas. Particularly liked the deconstructed spring roll.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMMagnificent food, service and localWe come to Dallas annually for a conference and have come to the Fish Market each year. It never fails to impress us with an outstanding experience. Our dinner included 6 persons and we had various meals from a steak to the house special (which I had). It was sumptuous. The server was attentive and the presentation was magnificent. On a Sunday evening late, we had the place almost to ourselves, but the lively conversation was easy and invigorating!4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Food & ServiceGreat Food & Service. I had the swordfish, it was really great.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMCan't wait to go back!We arrived late due to terrible traffic. We commented that we didn't think we'd make it to the show we were going to after dinner. The waiter asked when and where the show was. Without promises or discussion, the staff kept everything moving. We had three courses in an hour and never felt rushed! The food was fantastic! We are looking forward to going back so we can try more of the menu - we had a hard time narrowing it down!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our first time diningThis was our first time dining at the Dallas Fish Market. I has the Salmon Crudo to start and the Halibut for dinner, my husband had the calamari to start and the swordfish for dinner. Both starters were bland, we both felt a little seasoning would have gone a long way. My salmon was the least favorite by both of us. At this point we were wondering what dinner was going to be like. Wow, where we impressed. Both dishes were fantastic!!!!! My halibut was cooked perfectly and the fennel puree was delicious. My husbands swordfish was very tender, different than other swordfish he has had. It is marinated in a soy sauce marinade which softens the fish...so yummy. Melts in your mouth. Clean plates!!!4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful food, fun atmosphere! We live in downtown but had never been to the Dallas Fish Market so we decided to go for my boyfriend's birthday. He is from Boston and has a hard time finding wonderful seafood in Dallas but we finally found a spot worthy of his approval. They even threw in some free champagne and small bite fried oysters to celebrate the occassion! I myself am not much of a fish fan so I had the daily special that was an 8oz. filet with 2 large sea scallions on top of a bed of mashed potatoes. It was as fabulous as eating at their sister restaraunt Dallas Chop House. While the prices are in line with Trulucks or Ocean Prime- this was a wonderful place for dinner with a fun contemporary atmosphere and a delightful staff!4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMThe wait staff was very accommodatiThe wait staff was very accommodating and help us with great selections4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food, prompt andExcellent food, prompt and thorough but not overbearing service, a few gratis items to welcome us there and just a short walk to the Majestic Theater afterward.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMWent out with another coupleWent out with another couple and we really enjoyed our evening. Was a little confusing at first because we arrived at different times and they almost sat us at different tables. I wasn't thrilled with the table, but our server was great so it ended up being okay. We were given a complimentary glass of champagne and that was a good start to a great night. I order the lobster bisque and it had good flavor, but I did find any large pieces of lobster in the bisque. That was a little disappointing. Weird...but the fried okra was delicious, fried whole. Mac and cheese a little dry. Fish was good all around. Opted out of dessert because we were full. They brought some cotton candy out that was YUMMY!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGood place for a special occasion! We were celebrating my mothers birthday and the restuarant had two extra compliments one from the chef, and one of champang, I really liked the extras we received and how great the service was. The food was also really good, the surf and turf was a bit expensive but the other dishes were great.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had an excellent dinner. We had an excellent dinner. My crab appetizer was enormous, but very good. I had to pace myself. My swordfish was tender, and excellent. My wife had a nice salad and a shrimp appetizer for her dinner, which was fine, the 3 shrimp were huge, and preparedly nicely.
Nice dining room, very good service. It can be a pain to drive downtown on Saturday night, but this restaurant is worth the trip.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our first visit. This was our first visit. Service was attentive and responsive. Amuse Bouche and a taste of champagne on the house were a very welcoming touch. When back in Dallas, will definitely consider a return visit.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Seafood in TexasExcellent Dinner, great service, affordable wine list. PEI mussels were a huge bowl enough to share. Gigantic Au poivre tuna - cooked perfectly - we could have shared that too! Striped bass with shallot rings and seared shrimp were wonderful. St. Francis 2007 Zinfandel was a good choice. We were very full!!!3/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
