My wife and I really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was really great. I had the parmesan crusted trout and my wife had the chicken picatta. The trout was one of those meals that leave you satisfied but really wanting more. For about 20 mins, we were the only people dining, which made it very quiet and romantic; but once other people arrived it got a bit noisy due to the size of the dining area. Overall, it was great. :)

The location is definitely quaint. It's in an old Victorian home typical of this section of Colorado Springs. A bar and tables are arranged throughout the ground floor. Ambience is good. The service was average. Friendly, but not overly attendant. OK, so now the food; spinach pasta was a little wet. Not bad. Peanut crusted halibut was very dry. VERY. Pork shanks were in need of seasoning and could have been more tender. Lemon Pepper shrimp was tasty. Dessert creme brulé was basically pudding without the crusted top. Bread pudding was a slice of Texas toast, not typical. Overall, I'd give it a thumbs up for ambience, sideways for service and thumbs down on the food.

I liked Dale Street Bistro, I think I will go back there on a normal day and not a special occasion day like Valentines Day. The food was good and the ambiance was great. I would really like to try their regular menu and have more than one person waiting on tables.

Had a nice meal at Dale Street. Food was definitely tasty. Place has a bit of a modified oriental feel to it now with the addition of the sushi menu and the prevalence of oriental staff. That said, the menu has a great variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The choices we made tasted great.

The food was good. The restaurant is located in a small house in the middle of what seems to be a college town. There were several students dining during our visit, but it is certainly not a rowdy place

Our favorite one-person thin crust pizzas have changed! We were very disappointed1 Flavor was good but they were much bigger,, fit for two, and crust was no longer thin. Happier with Il Vicino's version.

We took my mother here for Mother's Day. The food was very good. The problem was there were more customers than the kitchen could handle. After we ordered it was about an hour before they even brought us bread (the only reason I marked the service down). If you don't try to go on a holiday, I'd definitely recommend the restaurant.

The cooks apparently did not show up, so the service was glacially slow. Two entrees arrived and then we waited another 20 minutes for others to arrive. The waitress had no idea since she had not checked on us. After lunch, we waited for her to show up so we could pay the bill--we had to go get her. Then she lost our credit card. We found it under our table! In the end, the owner reduced our bill to make up for poor service.

I went to Dale Street Bistro for the first time on Mother's Day with a group of 10. I made a reservation so they knew what to expect. At first everything was great: cute old house with character, smiling servers, we were seated upstairs and offered water right away. The problem was that we waited too long for the food to come, the servers would disappear for 20-30 minutes at a time, then the main server dropped off the food and never came back- literally. We had to go ask the front for our check after we were done eating and had sat for 15 minutes. The other table by us (party of 3) had to go ask for their food too. I'm sure they were busy that day- but I've only had service that bad once before at an Applebees! Great food though!

Dale Street Bistro was a great find and we loved the ambiance that the classic home turned restaurant provided us. The wait staff was super friendly and made my 7 year old son feel very grown up with the attention they paid him. The musician was awesome...I only wish he played the entire time we were there since a woman sitting at the table next to us did not pause once in complaining about her HOA. Given the small size of the restaurant, it was difficult not to listen to her drone on and on, especially since she chose not to lower her voice once the music ended. The bread was great as was the dinner we ordered and once the musician came back, we could once again enjoy the ambiance!

We like the ambience in this smaller neighborhood bistro with guitar on weekends. Their thin crust pizzas are great and most prices good. Only would like to see a little more variety in entree area.

Big diverse menu. Nice atmosphere in old Victorian house. Food was good - more complex than "comfort food", but not overly precious. There was a good duo guitarist and singer. We will go back.
