Throughout our space you can hear world class music or visually incorporate it into your event. The event menus are specially created by our Chef team to take full advantage of the finest seasonal ingredients. Our private dining rooms accommodate groups up to 35; our main dining room will hold up to 72 and our mezzanine (62) and club (90) are also available for private events. Parking: Public Lot
Parking Details: Safe and convenient parking is across 10th Street in Public Ramp. It is only $5 anytime after 4 PM. Entrance is on LaSalle Ave. between 10th St. and 9th St. (closest to 10th St.). Target store logo is over ramp entrance. Use "Public Parking" option in ramp. Take the elevator in ramp to street level or skyway level and cross 10th St. on street level or skyway level. The Dakota entrance is easily visible from skyway entrance. Many other parking options are nearby.

"We went to the Dakota for dinner and to see Alison Scott perform. We were provided a booth and great view of the stage, which was greatly appreciated..We enjoyed the menu and wine selection, however after being greeted by our initial server, who took our wine order, the server never returned to take our menu selection and to answer our questions.After about 30 minutes,we approached another server, who was serving other customers next to our area..to contact our server as we were not be served in a timely manner.Rest of the evening was great!"

"Wonderful food. The jazz trio that played while we ate was fantastic, but we were certainly able to carry on our dinner conversation. Will love to come again when we can linger a little longer, even stay for the show."

"Pros: Live music in dining room, several unique menu items
Cons: We ordered the $30 prix fixe meal, and the service was extremely slow. We waited almost 10 minutes between when our appetizers plates were clean to when the entree was served. The vegetarian option, hoppin' john, was extremely overpriced at $20 - this is for black eyed peas and veggies! The servers kept mixing up who was to get which meal. The dessert of cola cake was ordered without the bacon, but of course, the plate was served loaded with the candied bacon.
Overall: Experience was OK, but with so many other restaurants in the area to choose from, Dakota is nothing special."

"We loved our waiter. He was pleasant and friendly - all while being attentive. We were seated in the waaay back of the place - with others who did not want to pay an extra $15 per person for the band. You also cannot sit at the bar unless you pay the additional $15 per person. So, on top of a $12 martini - which was excellent, the additional band fees apply. I could understand paying show fees after the dinner crowd clears, but-even with the Restaurant Week menu ($30 per person/3 course), we had 2 drinks apiece- our bill was over $100. So, we would have had a "better" table had we paid an extra $30 ? IDK."
