Entertainment: Daisy's offers live entertainment on most weekend nights. In addition, we host various dance lessons early in the week.

A word from Daisy Baker's

Daisy Baker's is located in a four-story 1892 brownstone. The Young Women's Association, predecessor to today's YWCA, commissioned the building. It provided safe quarters for young women who came to Troy for employment in this prosperous 19th century industrial city. Troy was the 4th wealthiest… city in the United States at that time. Pre-eminent architect Marcus Cummings designed the building. He came to Troy in 1862 to help rebuild after a fire destroyed much of Troy's business district. The room that is now Daisy Baker's is a replica of his original music room on the Emma Willard campus.

Since 1974, Daisy Baker's has provided great food and spirits. Today, we offer a fully stocked bar, extensive wine list, eclectic New American cuisine, and a clean and friendly atmosphere to enjoy entertainment. When you enter our dining space, you will feel as though you are stepping back in time. We welcome you for dinner, or for your next private event.Continued

"Our group of four sampled four different starters and four different entrees; all were delicious. The martini's are standout! The service was prompt and courteous. Serving sizes were substantial. The interior is architecturally interesting. All in all, would recommend it."

"Not as good this time. The appetizers were very tasty and a nice sized portion. The entrees came and they were so heavy looking it was just not appealing at all. There were about 3 different accompaniments to the main fare of the dish that you were full just looking at it. Restaurants need to know that an entree is more appealing to eat when it is smaller than larger."

"This was our first dining experience here and it definitely won't be our last! The food was delicious, the waitress was friendly and it was pretty quiet while we were there. All in all - great experience. Can't wait to go back with some friends."

"The Savory Crawfish Cheesecake appetizer was out of this world, unlike anything I've tasted previously, subtle flavors, delicate texture. The entrees, duck breast and grilled pork, were perfectly prepared and creatively presented, truly a "picture plate." The sauces, while tasty, were a tad bland, could use a bit more "punch". The service was friendly, efficient and timely. The imaginative appetizer selection is intriguing and will make me a return customer."

"felt very rushed!! salads came before appetizers, then appetizers came 30 seconds later... before half way thru the salads & appetizers, the entree came.... didn't finish the salad or appetizer.... what's the hurry?!?! food was very good, would have liked to have enjoyed it and finished it rather than feeling like i had to eat & get out!!"

"We were attending a performance across the street at the Troy Music Hall, and the place was packed with others doing the same thing. We were seated promptly, ordered right away, and told the waitress that we were attending the concert. She never indicated that there might be a problem being served on time, and we ordered right away. Then we sat for nearly an hour and went through two bread baskets before our appetizers arrived. We canceled our entrees, and the waitress was apologetic, but our experience was disappointing. The appetizers were great... wish we'd had a chance to enjoy the whole meal. This restaurant should know how to serve a large crowd on a concert night by now."
