Diner Reviews
  • "Just consistently good. We are never disappointed. A restaurant destination during our annual Palm Springs/Palm Desert visit. Always a good evening of dining pleasure."

  • "This restaurant performed as it always does. Great service with food that is expected and delivered as expected. Not over the top but good."

  • "Excellent service with prompt seating. The menu has something for everyone. I tried the skirt steak salad and it was delicious. I would recommend the Daily Grill for lunch or dinner."

  • "Our visit to the Daily Grill was good and the food was wonderful. Our server, Tracy, was a delight and took very good care of us. Have to say that, like many restaurants these days, the noise level made conversation difficult. We have dined outside before for lunch and would highly suggest it. DG has a very tasty '600 or less' calorie menu - the moroccan chicken salad and the caprese salad are great."

  • "As always, this restaurant was a pleasant experience. The food was good, as usual, and the wait help is always pleasant. Out side dining is very peasant."

  • "everything was great! The service was terrific as well as the food. Look forward to going back."

  • "This review is specific to the Palm Desert location. While the food here is consistently good and menu prices reasonable for the quality of the food, the service was just awful. Our opentable reservation was for 8:45 pm and we were seated promptly as the dinner crowd was already thinning out. We opted for the outdoor seating. Our male server took our order and he disappeared and didn't see him again until we asked for our bill. Nobody came to refill our water glass or ask if we needed anything. We asked if somebody can turn on the gas heater as it was starting to get cold. Nobody could locate our server or anybody who can turn the heater on. By the time somebody came, we were finished with our dinner and was just waiting for our bill.nn"

  • "we had a light early supper .. tried the chicken poblano quesidilla for 1st time, quite delish. John had soup. Always very friendly service and we both enjoyed the key lime pie dessert, which was (and is always) excellent."

  • "Nice place. Full of locales. Very old crowd Big portion sizes. Average food. Sea bass for $40 way overpriced for fair food"

  • "Always a favorite when we are in the Desert. Our server was great, new lo-cal menu choices, skirt steak always the best."

  • "We enjoy the City Grill in downtown Seattle and had a good experience at the PS location last October. We especially like the outdoor seating in PS.. The overall feel of the restaurant is warm and the service is friendly. No difference this time. We shared the ahi tuna salad and thought the dressing had a nice "kick". We ordered the Tuscan chicken....the accompaniments (brown rice and spinach) lacked flavour and didn't live up to the chicken that we felt was delicious. We'll return but order differently next time."

  • "I took my Husband here for Lunch, and we had such a Good Time. I know, starting off with Martini's will make anyone have a good time. The Food was Presentable to the Eye, and Outstanding taste to the palate."

  • "We liked it so much that we've gone to the Daily Grill twice - and we don't live in California! The food is good, the service is great, and it's a cozy neighborhood spot. I'd recommend it to my friends."

  • "We had reservations through open table, but were given the worst table in the house. I hate sitting next to the bathroom. Since we had reservations I think they should have accommodated us with a nicer table. The more I think of it the madder I get."

  • "I like everything about this restaurant except perhaps for the noise level. Busy, energetic place to dine on El Paseo with great food in the old San Francisco style. Like the food, service, decor and overall lively atmosphere. We will definitely keep this restaurant on our frequent visit list and advise our friends to eat here as well."

  • "We never worry about taking friends to dinner for the first time at the Daily Grill. Servers are attentive, food excellent. Love the fact that although people are waiting outside to get in, a reservation will get you seated immediately. Had the short rib with horseradish mashed potatoes and it was sooooo good. They also have the best fish and chips in the area."

  • "We consider The Daily Grill one of our favorite places to dine or enjoy happy hour. There is always excitement in the room...people having good food and enjoying the drinks. The design of the restaurant reminds me of some New York eateries. Service is excellent and an extensive menu to fit one and all."

  • "While many people shy away from chains, this Daily Grill has always served up great food in a very pleasant atmosphere. Service is always top notch. This is a very popular restaurant, so reservations are strongly urged. They also have a great dessert menu, and their cobblers are always yummy"

  • "We introduced Daily Grill to friends in town to enjoy the beautiful valley. They were very impressed and said several times during the course of our meal that they would be back to try other menu items. Thank you DG you never disappoint us!"

  • "As it was St. Patrick's Day, we both ordered the corned beef & cabbage. The cabbage was grilled & so tender...absolutely delicious, as was the 'cooked just right' corned beef (ample amount)."

  • "Excellent Food...good American menu... well prepared. We had a dippy waitress...but the place was very busy. Other waiters/waitresses filled in."

  • "Took a friend to Daily Bistro for his Birthday. Had tried to make a reservation for a previous occasion but was unsuccessful as I was too late on the draw; this is MARCH!!!!! So, this time, I made the reservation at least a week ahead which worked out perfectly. We sat in the back because we are getting a little hard of hearing . Don't mean to criticize the noise level of others because this means that everyone was enjoying themselves. The waiter was very considerate!!!! He actually waited until we were ready to order and was both polite and gracious. The food was delicious. a memorable occasion. THANK YOU"

  • "Well I have been here several times in the past as it is a treat for my family and to lunch after mass. We live in Borrego Springs, Ca. I made my reservations for 1:00pm 4 19 14 inside by window. I was seated 35 min. later. Long time for us. I spend a lot of money every time I visit. I am a Preferred Guest holder. Our waitress checked on us every ten minutes. Too long. As a result I do not wish to return. Back to PFChangs I quess. It hurts me just as much writing the review as it is you reading it. I emailed your GM as well. This is how disappointed I was. I do not expect to hear from you or be compensated and if I do I might be persuaded to return. Thank you. Alfred Hinojosa."

  • "My wife and I ate at there before concert and both of us had an excellent meal. I had the skirt steak and my wife had the Tuscan Brick chicken. The steak was a perfect medium rare and very tender and flavorful. The steak was accompanied with fries and a vegetable. About 5 or 6 were available. I had steamed spinach. That was the only item that was less than perfect. The spinach was very wet. The chick was a familiar item. It was moist with a crisp skin. Nicely seasoned and tender. The brown rice with almonds and herbs and the sauteed spinach with onions and mushrooms wee excellent. Service was very friendly and attentive. Beverage refills were made without the need to look for the server."

  • "We have been to the Daily Grill before and always had good service but Tracey made our dining experience even better. It was my husband birthday and she made sure he was treated like a king! In our experience the restaurant is always crowded but that did not hamper the service or the presentation of delicious food. Thanks to the Daily Grill for continuing your great reputation."

  • "When checking in at our appointed hour we were not pleased. We were offered a table first in the back tiny room. Then the only other choice was in front of the restrooms . We did not appreciate the steady stream of people passing us by. Why reserve when this is their attitude. They are busy it is true but I would I would not hurry back, waitress lovely and food fine. But we were not happy campers. The hostesses have attitude.,,,take it or leave it."
