We have been twice to Dagabi Cucina, both for special occasions. We are picky eaters, and this will now be our go-to restaurant. We almost hesitate to share the good news. It's a great place for a quiet meal where you can actually hear what your table group is saying. The food and service is remarkable. Hope nothing changes.

My husband and I have dined there several times, but won't do it again. Our server brought the wrong drink then disappeared so we couldn't get it replaced. Later, he served a very dry Caprese salad with no oil or balsamic vinegar dressing. It took another 15 minutes to track him down to get it. My pasta with chicken had a nasty under taste (and very little chicken). Later that night, we both felt queasy and slightly ill. We won't be going back.

Dagabi cucina was good for a dinner, but u think for the prices it should have been much better. The food started out pretty bad. We ordered the meat, cheese and olives plate. The presentation wasn't great and there weren't any olives on the dish. I felt that was a misrepresentation. We also didn't get bread right away and didn't get helped for quite a while, which was odd because the restaurant was basically empty on a Saturday night. The main dishes were alright, but nothing I would rave about. The best part of the meal was the tiramisu and chocolate torte at the end. The meal was overpriced for the quality. I would have paid maybe $15 for the entree i ordered instead of $22. We probably won't go back unless we wanted to try happy hour.

Went here based on Yelp reviews, all said the food was good, especially the bread, but the service mediocre. Luckily it was a good day for service... Shared several tapas dishes with my sister and our friend had swordfish linguini, everything was very very tasty, especially the bread. Would go there again, did I mention the bread? (-:

One of the things i'm grateful for about living in North Boulder is our neighborhood restaurant DaGabi!I love the atmosphere, the food, the staff... you name it! it's where we go for a romantic night, or a fun break, or a good time with friends or visiting family. The food just keeps on getting better, with enticing tapas and desserts. Thank you, DaGabi Cucina, for being such a great neighbor!

We decided to go to Dagabi Cucina because online it was said that this was a good location for tapas. Unfortunately, it did not say that the tapas is only available during happy hour, which had ended before we arrived. So, we ordered a couple pizzas to share and had some drinks. The pizza was delicious and the out-side patio seating was perfect for the nice Colorado summer evening. Next time we'll have to get there before 6:30!

The sangria had cinnamon, which made it taste like Christmas mulled wine, not a refreshing summer drink. The bread was great, but I found the balsamic spread overpowered it, so I ate it plain. The shrimp were extremely overcooked. The service was fine and my companion enjoyed the paella. The Margherita pizza was fine, but not great. The creme brulee was grainy, not smooth.

A great little out of the way spot in north Boulder. Stumbled onto this place and glad we did. Great food, great service and price is very reasonable. They have Happy Hour drink and food specials that are terrific. We had the special appetizer of the night and as good as everything else was, this was the shining star - a chick pea stew that we shared. The bread with balsamic sauce was also outstanding. I had the gnocchi and pollo in a vodka cream tomato sauce with mushrooms and asparagus - very very good. Several other plates on nearby tables made me want to come back in the near future to try a few more things. There are lots of great restaurants in Boulder, but you shouldn't miss this one.

Dagabi Cucina remains one of the best restaurants in Boulder. A little out of the way, it's really a "neighborhood" place, relaxed but with a sense of style. The fusion of Spanish and Italian cuisine is unusual, and the menu always promises something special. The service is perfect, and the ambience is relaxed but lovely.

Why do some parents feel it's best to ignore their shouting children in a nice restaurant? We enjoyed our meal of happy hour tapas and wine very much, and especially enjoyed the special dessert of the evening. The service was good, and we enjoyed the ambiance on this, our first visit. The restaurant's noted as 'kid-friendly', and there was a table next to us with two very quiet and well-behaved youngsters. But, the large table in the middle of our room, with three young children was very noisy. Not much the staff could have done, but the parents should have taken some steps to quiet their kids. We'll certainly come back. Fortunately, there are three room to choose from--and a patio in summer. We'll take better care in choosing our seats.

We go to DaGabi fairly regularly for their happy hour tapas, but the Denver restaurant week menu looked too good to pass up, so we went for dinner. The two salads offered were both superb, one with Spanish ancovies, Marcona almonds, beets, feta and greens, the other was a take on Ceasar but with Spanish cheese and dried tuna, which we had never tasted before. The meat portions were quite generous, For the main course I had a Spanish seafood stew - having been to Spain last summer I can vouch that it was not only delicious but quite authentic. My husband had the goat, which was also quite good. The portions are large, so we took most of our main course home so we could eat dessert, which was also excellent. The service was very good.

We were a little disappointed with our dinner. We have eaten at this restaurant many times, and have had good experiences. This time they seated us in the bar are at a very small table. It was dark, too noisy, and we felt we were treated like bar patrons. The waitress didn't offer cracked pepper on the salads or parmesan cheese with the meals. We had to ask for these items. We asked to be moved, but there were no tables left. I'm not sure we'll dine there again after this negative experience.

Everything was great except they were just too busy. They tried to squeeze too many people in for Valentines Day, this means we had to wait 20 minutes after our reservation, we were seated in the cramped back room since we were only two, and the service was slow. The food and drinks were great, staff was very nice, and the evening was happily ok, but it could have been far better if they just didn't try to squeeze so many in.

My husband and I have gone to Dagabi Cucina many times over the years. Up until the last two visits we have always enjoyed and recommended the restaurant. Unfortunately, we can no longer do either. The service during our last two visits was terrible. The staff is inattentive to the point where main courses come before the starter course plates have been cleared and it's difficult to order an second round of drinks. I've also had staff cut me off while walking through the dining room and everyone appears over worked/ rushed. Our last visit was St. Valentine's Day the service was a mess. There were too many extra 2-tops and I got banged into because people couldn't get the the tables behind us. Too bad because the food is still good.
