"I have eaten carpaccio at many Italian restaurants all over the world, this was not good. It was tough, fatty. The dish had absolutely no flavor. The pasta was delicious though."

"I have been going to Da Silvana off and on for about 30 years. It is still a place to "see and be seen" and while the service may be distracted by its own importance the inventive Italian cuisine is unusual and excellent. It is probably the closest New York City has to a Roman neighborhood restaurant near Cinecitta."

"The food is very reliable. The Gnocchi with Lobster is extraordinary. The only downfall is the waitstaff takes the italian accents and treatment to the extreme, it felt a bit corny."

"I've been going to Da Silvano for years. This past trip was my last. In a practically empty restaurant, my husband, who is recovering from surgery and walking with a cane, was forced into a tiny two top with another 2 top two inches from us. There were approx 10 empty tables the entire time we were dining. Completely un-accomodating and rude. The food came out quickly, too quickly - - as if it was sitting out in the kitchen and not made to order. And the crowd was beyond touristy. They lost themselves loyal customers this time, they should learn to cater to their customer base and drop the attitude. The restaurant really isn't that good anymore and doesn't warrant it. What a waste of $300."
