A word from Da Pasquale Trattoria Italiana
Da' Pasquale is perhaps the only local trattoria that, since its inception in 1989, has consistently prepared all of its dishes in the rich southern Italian tradition of Naples without pandering to American taste buds or trends.

Italian favorites, like Pasta e Fagioli, certainly need no introduction to the experienced diner, but, if it"s your first time eating at Da Pasquale, you may just feel like you have been reacquainted.

This family-run restaurant takes pride in creating an atmosphere as close to home as you will find outside of your own dining room and is one of the last truly family-friendly restaurants located in Beverly Hills.

  • "Had a group of 10 people and the service was great. Table was ready promptly at the reservation time of 6pm. Earlier is better b/c it's starts to get very busy around 7. The food was authentic and amazing. The entire table raved about the bread, pizza and pastas. Our server was nice enough to keep our cake until dessert and even cut it for us. Great service, great food. Couldn't have asked for a better night!"

  • "We eat here often and are never disappointed by the food or the service. The daily specials are excellent. But, try the risotto. It's always terrific. The service is consistently good. We typically take our 5 year old with us, too. He loves the pizza and says it’s the best - he's right. While its family friendly, it does not have the craziness of some other restaurants that cater to kids. "

  • "Love this restaurant. The food is as good as it is in Italy. The owner and servers are so nice and friendly . They appreciate your business . We go there for lunch a lot. They received an excellent review so now it is very busy and if you are on lunch break, it takes a long time because the food is made to order so we can only go there when we have extra time. We went there for dinner and the noise level for lunch is ok but for dinner it's way too noisy . But it's the best Italian food in L A.!!!."

All that pales in comparison to the food which is amazing! Every dish individually prepared and served piping hot. Best italian restaurant we've been to ever!"

  • "We had a 6:45 reservation. We were seated at 7:15. We received no menus, water or bread until 7:30. The food came quickly once we ordered. It was adequate at best. The waiter asked us to "move on" almost as soon as they cleared the plates as people were waiting for our table. We were not offered coffee or desert. We will not go back. Out on the street in front of the restaurant anther couple said the same thing."

  • "Great food, large portions, friendly service but toooo crowded from 7pm to 9:15pm and the staff cannot do justice to the great place this is. You can have a reservation for 8pm and still end up waiting 20 minutes just for them to talk to you. Their choice of music is poor (bad Italian pop) to non-existent and the decor could use an upgrade or at least more colors but people treat the place like home."

  • "We love Italian restaurants that don't mess with recipes so much the original recipe is barely recognizable. We love Italian food made with fresh ingredients & by talented hands. This is exactly what you'll eat @ Da Pasquale. Favorites include their pizzas with thin crust done in their new oven! We love the vegetable antipasti plate, which is always a favorite with friends we bring here. Wine list is solid. Service is always polite, helpful and efficient. You'll love their gorgeous and tasty bread, straight from the oven. Finally, the restaurant uses excellent olive oil and balsamic vinegar. This is important to us. The taste of cheap olive oil cannot be disguised & ruins the flavor of any food to which it is added."

Once again, everything about the restaurant from Pasquale's warm welcome to his sister's (sorry, I forgot your name) great table service to Anna and her kitchen's wonderful, authentic cuisine was excellent. We plan on returning for our 20th anniversary."

I only gave the Ambience a "good" because I felt the seating situation was a little odd. Maybe it is just an oddly shaped restaurant. I would go back if I was looking for Italian in Beverly Hills, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it."

  • "After looking at the reviews I was expecting much more than what we got. We first order Bruschetta and it was wonderful!! So I was excited to get our meals. Both my husband and I ordered lasagna and my daughter ordered pepperoni pizza. Very disappointed with the first bite. Very average food. :( Service was good and atmosphere was good."

  • "If you're looking for some Italian food that's doesn't come from a chain restaurant this is a great find. I wouldn't say Da Pasquale Trattoria Italiana is a neighborhood gem but it's definitely quite a small restaurant that offers sizable portions for being located in fancy Beverly Hills. The food has more of a home cooking flavor compared to restaurants with a mass marketed production line type of kitchen. I would recommend this restaurant but only if you're into a casual and leisure dining experience. The price is not too high and the service is standard. The restaurant is also within a plaza that's connected adjacent to a paid parking structure (if you tend to arrive early, it's free after 8:00pm)."

  • "Came here with a group of 7 to celebrate a friend's birthday. They easily accommodated a last minute reservation change and seated us quickly upon arrival. The pastas were fresh and flavorful while the pizzas were amply sized. The night was topped off by an airy and light tiramisu for the birthday boy at the end! A little noisy but overall a great restaurant."

I give them some concessions on service and wait times, simply because my last experience was on Valentine's Day and that would be a nightmare for any restaurant.   • "There are actually three Italian restaurants adjacent to each other, two of them with modern foodie interiors and then this one, with all the qualities of a real Italian restaurant. Excellent food, a good wine list, wonderful owner who clearly loves his patrons and very good service (his daughter-in-law was serving our table). This restaurant was crowded for Valentine's Day, whereas the other two were not. This is clearly where locals like to come. We would definitely come back again."

Packed up our main course and had the boxes on the table when they served us dessert.   • "The minute you walked in you knew that most people were here for the same reason, DineLA. Luckily we had reservations and were seated quickly. It was quite noisy and the staff could not keep up! We waited and waited for every single item from water 10 min after being seated to coffee 10 min after dessert arrived. The food presentation was done well. The main course was rather small, and the flavored were great ! For $25 during restaurant, not bad!"

  • "5 girlfriends were in LA to see a show and celebrate a birthday. While out for a morning walk we noticed Da Pasquale. It wasn't officially opened, but the front door was. We stopped in and met one of the chefs. That visit was enough to convince us to return, and we were very glad that we did. The bruschetta was wonderful. We each had different entrees. My butternut squash ravioli was a special that week, and I enjoyed every bite. The pasta is all homemade. Fabulous!!! Our waitress was a gem, and the wine divine. The owner secured a cab for us so that we made it to the theatre on time. We will return!!!"

  • "While the food was actually very good, the service was lacking. I made a reservation, as I knew a Friday night would be busy. What I didn't know was that a reservation meant nothing, as we were told we needed to wait for a table like everyone else who was waiting, even those without reservations. We finally got seated (about a 1/2 hour later) and the food was good but again, the service was just OK. Very reminiscent of a new mom and pap joint, as opposed to what we thought was a higher end, professional Italian restaurant."

  • "I've been wanting to try Da Pascuale for months now, and finally got the chance! My coworkers used to order the pastas for lunch and it always looked so good. The fresh baked bread was absolutely amazing. Everything tasted great and came out on time. Would definitely return!"
