da Campo OsteriaDelicious gourmet food! This restaurant, in the Il Lugano Hotel, brought out freshly baked breads with three selections of roasted garlic spread, warm pesto and tomato to start on the table. The pastas were freshly made in house and delicious. The ravioli with short rib was especially good, as well as the linguini with lobster.
For dessert, the hot zepoles filled with Nutella was delectable.
While on the more expensive side, foodies will appreciate the gourmet touches at this restaurant.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMMothers' Day Brunch 2013We were greeted by Chef Acosta personally upon arrival and escorted to our table. We had a beautiful view of the Intracoastal waterway. The buffet was set up in another room nearby and there were waiters and servers who were able to give detailed explanations about what was being prepared. Everything was delicious and above all, very fresh. I will return for lunch and/or dinner for a more traditional experience. I recommend this restaurant highly.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMEarly dinnersThey just started am early dinner special. Lots of choices and good amount of food. Mozzarella chesse is a must. Tiramisu suffle is also a must. Only thing, come with a big wallet. Without drinks expect 60$ per person bill. Wine list is affordable thought.
Enjoy5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGood meal..We enjoyed our meal again at de Campo. The table side mozzarella is a great treat. Service was a bit slow, but the environment is nice...so we didn't mind. The cocktails were very good. Overall, a pleasant meal...just expensive. We'll go back again, but not on a regular basis.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMHidden GemVery interesting food choices not found at most other restaurants. Excellent service including chef walks restaurant to discuss food, handmade cheese made at table, etc.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThe best part of our diningThe best part of our dining experience was the mozzarella cheese pulling class we did before our actual reservation!! Great fun and the mozzarella was the best and freshest we ever had! Three glasses of wine and two huge plates with prosciutto, olive tampanades, dates etc!! Just unbelievable. Didnt even need dinner after the class!! You MUST do this. Went with my father for a date nite. We laughed, drank and met some great people! Thanks Chef and everyone involved. As locals here in Ft. Lauderdale.... We're going to tell everyone!!4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWaterfront Dining & a top KitchenWonderful view of the waterway and outstanding service by Walter. The handmade mozzarela is a real treat!4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMHomemade Pasta!Received this lead from a family member who had not tried, but heard the restaurant was excellent. And we would return again and again. It was great fun ordering the pulled Mozzarella and having it prepared table side. The bread and dipping sauces were some of the best i have tasted. The homemade pasta was outstanding. It's difficult to locate Italian restaurants that make their own pasta -- and that alone is worth the return trip. Unfortunately, we were not impressed with our waiter. He was not very attentive and our water glasses were nearly empty before he thought to refill them. But we think his service is not indicative of the overall staff, so we giving the restaurant a pass on his service. The manager visited our table.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMfantastic food, veal saltimboccafantastic food, veal saltimbocca was incredible and the fresh mozzarella3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMLOVE THE FOOD,WINE AND OVERALLLOVE THE FOOD,WINE AND OVERALL DINNING EXPERINCE MY 4TH RETURN EACH SEEMS BETTER THEN THE LAST......3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous dinner from startFabulous dinner from start to finish! We were greeted warmly by the lovely hostess, Jacqueline. She immediately escorted us to a table of our choosing, and started our dinner on a very positive note. The food tonite, was exceptional. We felt like we were FEASTING, because of the noteworthy quality of our food. And, alongside this,--our waiter, Sergio, was attentive, accomodating and fun to deal with. Da Campo is an up-scale restaurant with fine food, beautiful atmosphere and excellent service. I left this restaurant feeling very pampered and priviledged. We will return very soon.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Meal, Service and AmbianceBest prepared fish and veal in town. Moist, tasty meals with beautiful views and fantastic service. Table side Mozarella is a must try. Chef Acosta is the man!3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMDa Campo was a "Da-vine" culinaryDa Campo was a "Da-vine" culinary experience. We were warmly greeted by their gracious Maitre D', named Tedrick. He immediately escorted us to our "scenic" table, with a superb view of the Intracoastal. Their signature mozzarella dish, prepared at our table, was excellent. The Da Campo salad was exceptional and was "dressed" with a subtly flavored viniagarette. The Diver scallops were wonderful. The mussels were fabulous. By the time we had finished our entrees, we had no room for their very appealing desserts. However, we plan to return very soon, and next time,-- we will have one or two of their tantalizing desserts. I can't wait to taste their exquisite ricotta cheesecake and their chocolate dessert specialty.3/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGo to this great restauarantGreat view of the Intracoastal and wonderful food!12/14/2012 12:00:00 AM
