  • "After reading reviews, I was intrigued by the comments about the tableside mozzarella presentation. I was not disappointed. The freshly prepared cheese was delightful as an appetizer. My wife ordered the short rib special which was a huge portion of tender, lean braised beef - delicious! I had the braised beef rib ravioli which was very good. Personally, I would have preferred a thicker tomato based sauce. The chef's complimentary bruschetta was an unexpected delighter, and our server, Carlos, was very personable and efficient."

  • "Called first to make sure they do , do table side making of the fresh mozzarella at lunch . I was told yes so we went. Valet parking , But they do valedate your ticket. Walked almost all around befor we were noticed then seated in a booth looking out the ceiling to floor windows over The Intracoastal & their outside blue cushions below . We'll we were told no table side during day but Chrisety managed to have Chef Raymond come and give us a show and a class like . There are class on how to make mozzarella . We had ours with pros. Pesto pine nuts & yes the creamy garlic like spread . Me personal would like a good hard piece of Itailan bread with it they have nice choices but I'm just saying $20 plus"

  • "We chose this restaurant because it is highly rated on Trip Advisor. The spinach salad was a tasty starter. We had the king crab tortellini and the jumbo scallops. The mains were fairly good, but not exceptional. Overall, I would have to say the meal was good, but it did not meet our expectations based on its Trip Advisor rating."

  • "Much more than I expected. We made reservations a week prior to and on the day of Dinner I received a friendly confirmation telephone call from the restaurant (nice touch). Upon arriving we were immediately sat. The waiter Stanly greeted us with menus and made a couple of suggestions. Still reviewed the menu. Ordered the everything table side mozzarella (great choice) with a bottle of wine. The assorted breads paired well with the mozzarella. Took Stan's suggestion as we were already full from the mozzarella, breads, and wine. The Risotto dish to share consisted of clams, shrimp, lobster, scallops, and mussels. Very tasty and plentiful. Afterwards we had a Tiramisu that was out of this world. The food and service were GREAT. Overall 5+."

  • "I have been here several times and was highly disappointed in the food on this last visit. Several of us ordered a fish special that was totally tasteless. No amount of salt could help this dish. The molten chocolate cake ordered for dessert was luke warm and not molten. On the other hand the mozzarella made table side was excellent as always and the filet special was delicious. One comment on service - I had chosen a wine that they were out of. I was presented with two substitutes but one was much more expensive than what I had originally chosen. I think in a case like this the wait staff needs to be more forthcoming about prices as I had to specifically ask. Everyone had a great time and the wait staff was very attentive as always."

  • "I love this place, I consider it Ft. Lauderdale's best kept secret! The food just as good if not better than Casa D'Angelo's which is always packed with people and you can't get a reservation. You can usually walk right in with no reservation and watch the sunset over the intracoastal. Sergio, our waiter, is very kind and charming too."

  • "This was a my first time visiting da Campo Osteria. Prior to traveling down to Ft. Lauderdale for the weekend to celebrate Mother's Day with my mother, I made brunch reservations ahead of time. Being an avid foodie, I wanted to find a top quality restaurant that was both atmospheric and had a varied brunch menu to celebrate a special occasion. The restaurant provides a beautiful view of Ft. Lauderdale's intracoastal waterway. Upscale atmosphere with reasonable prices AND the fresh pulled mozzarella were a big highlight! The mushroom risotto was also super creamy and delicious. All in all great service and I would return. I'm shying away from giving it five stars as I would like to experience their regular menu. "

  • "We've been to da Campo Osteria quite a few times and always enjoy our dining experience there. We had close friends in from out of town and introduced them to this gem. They loved the tableside mozzarella presentation (a favorite of ours also). We had it prepared pesto style. Deelish! We also had the braised octopus appetizer to munch on before the entrees which were the veal, salmon and grouper special. Followed by the tiramisu soufflé and an after dinner Sambuca. A great evening was had by all! "

  • "My husband and I went to have a special dinner, and got what we wanted. The calamari were super tender, fried to perfection! Our main courses (I had ravioli, my husband steak) were excellent too. Our waiter Sergio didn't miss a beat! I was glad he had to look at the details of the night's specials again when I asked him to refresh memory. Usually, specials are rattled off so quickly that it just confuses me. He really put me at ease and I didn't feel embarrassed to ask again."

  • "This place sports a beautiful view of Ft. Lauderdale's intracoastal waterway. Upscale atmosphere with reasonable prices AND, fresh pulled mozzarella table side…yes science at it's best, & you get to eat it!! We started with the pesto mozzarella, love the garlic paste! Our well spoken waiter, Robert was very informative and guided us thru a most delicious "Tapas-type" dinner…we followed with the Calamari Fritti, then shared the jumbo meatball and finished off the evening enjoying the beautiful view awaiting the made to order Tiramisu Souffle…a must have!! When you pull up to the hotel you will notice there is no self parking so valet... the Manager will validate your ticket! Thoroughly enjoyed this meal and looking forward to returning soon!"

  • "Overall food and ambience were great. Special Mozzarella served with a demonstration was a nice surprise. Although at times I did not think the wait staff was very attentive. Also, had special request. I asked for pasta with puttanesca sauce. There was a dish that contained scallops with puttanesca sauce on the menu. The price was $30. That is what I was charged for the pasta without the scallops. Didn't notice it until after I left. I felt I was overcharged. It would have been inconvenient to return and we left the next day to return home. So double check your check."

  • "This was the worst food I have ever had. All show but does not deliver the goods. We had the mozzarrella made at table side, it was hard and bland. The tomato sauce for the lobster Fra Diavolo was from a can. The waiter was overwelmed. All in all a poor experience."

  • "Food $68.  Booze $60.  Total with tip $165.  Free valet parking. Calamari Fritti - excellent and crispy.  $11 Penne Pizzaiola - very filling...doggie bag for an excellent lunch the next day $19. Maiale Pork Chop bone in - a bit overdone but still wonderful.  Potato served cool, kinda spoiled it.  $28 Tiramisu soufflé dessert - $10.  A real treat, somewhat like bread pudding. Mixed drinks a bit overpriced at $11.50 each.  Wine by glass reasonable at $8-10. Small restaurant in small boutique residence hotel.  Very nice...great water views but guests a little noisy while enjoying themselves.  Waiter quite attentive.  Would go back. Maybe my fav place here and got it from Open Table 1000 point plan."

  • "The Fresh Puled Mozzarella was Outstanding delicius! The Pasta That My guests had (two Lady's) was not good, they don't like it Both It Was Tasteless! My Roasted Tomato Soup was Outstanding Good, but i can't eat anymore after the Mozzarella. My vegitarian-Pasta was not so good as all well the others! It taste like nothing. For the long waiting we had a free glasses of whine that was pretty good! The live-Event was not inside the dinning room. We don't see at this saturday no event. I Would recommend this restaurant to a friend only for the outstanding Fresh Pulled Mozzarella! Not for the Pastas."

  • "I was recommended by my cousin Neil who ate here many times for its quiet ambience and good food. We had a romantic booth towards the back of the restaurant. The service was excellent. The wine was great. The food, with its limited menu, was very good. But the quiet was broken up by seven women's girls night out next to our table. And they were a pleasure. WE sang happy birthday to my girlfriend Rachel and the whole restaurant joined in. This turned out to be a great dining experience. I higly recommmend Da Campo Osteria to anyone who wants to have a good time."

  • "I was a little disappointed at first because we had requested a table when we made the reservation and the host took us to a booth. Although the booths there are roomy I don't enjoy my meals in a booth. He did switch us to a table, not a good one, but a table. We were there for the food not the view. We all enjoyed are pre dinner cocktails. We shared the crispy eggplant appetizer. It was very good. We had the tomato soup and the house salad both of which are excellent. I ordered the fresh angel hair pasta with clams and shrimp in a scampi sauce. It could have used a few more clams. my guest had the chicken that had a showstopper presentation and was delicious. my other guest went with the wild salmon."

  • "The Chef's table allows you to interact with the kitchen as they are preparing the meals right in front of you it was great fun. We let him do his thing and we were not disappointed. We started with the homemade (made table side) Mozarella - Sergio our server suggested his favorite "Terra" warm gooey mozzarella served with grilled figs and freshly sliced prosciutto was WOW! The menu included and amuse bouche, with grilled octopus salad, fried eggplant, rib filled ravioli, grilled scallops over the an incredible risotto cake, and finally an delicate tiramisu soufflé! It sounds expensive but an incredible value! Thanks Chef Ray and his Team Stephanie and Sonia - Stephanie is a promising up and comer! We will be back!"

  • "This was a 1000 point place and wanted to try someplace new...and what a delight it was - from free valet parking to good service and great Italian food.  Can't wait to go again.  Dinner for two came to $145 with drinks.  The view is the Intracoastal waterway.  Boutique hotel as well. Everyone makes you feel very welcome...and our waiter, Sergio, was the best. A very good Caesar salad ($12), and Calamari Fritti ($11) to start. The penne pizzaiola $19) and paglia e fiend ($19) were outstanding. Desserts...a huge Tiramisu souffle ($10) that was outasight. So was the delicious white chocolate bread pudding $10).  Finished with a great coffee and we are going to go again next week. A very enjoyable night out. Might be my new fav place."
