d t m restaurant - don't tell mamaBefore the playWe were going to a Broadway play at 7 so we ate at 5 pm. I had salmon w/ spinach. My friend had chicken marsala. Both of us had a glass of wine and the house salad. Good basic meal prepared the right way--always important especially for the fish. Then I had the blueberry sorbet which was so delicious that I want a repeat performance as soon as possible. The service was good and the noise level was just right--former reviews which I had read prior to our going made me a think it might not be--but it was perfect. We only ate in the restaurant but the piano bar looked fun and so did the cabaret. This is a small restaurant that always has delicious food and great service bvy friendly staff. They made a point of honoring my special requests made through Open Table. Paid attention to our timeline as we were dining before a 7pm play. I cannot say enough good things about this place. It's near the theater district, so you can dine in a relaxed manner and get to your curtain. Outstanding. Go here. They were so loud that my friend and I couldn't hear one another.
