Sommelier Chase DuBay has assembled an extensive list of world class wines with a special focus on Sonoma appellations. The arched and vaulted dining room welcomes guests to elegant tables set with fine linens, crystal, china and silver. Guests are greeted warmly as they enter the bar while a myriad of special touches await them throughout the evening. This was such an amazing experience! It was definitely pricey, but could have been done on more of a budget than we did (no wine pairings, eliminate the cheese course, etc). However, for us the splurge was worth every penny and really made our anniversary feel extra special. The details including the personalized take home menu, mignardise tray and fantastic andante cheeses were all what made the meal feel like so much more than just delicious food. My sweetie and I are both in the hospitality industry and eat out a lot in the Bay Area, but we have never had such amazing service and attention- Cyrus really goes the extra mile!

I am compelled to write this review because the food was so blah. a lot of restaurants are much cheaper with better food. We were recommended the restaurant and were very excited to go for my hubbies bday. And when we came out we were very disappointed. The fish dishes were pretty good. The lobster was average. The desert was probably the best dish. Overall, I would not come back. Maybe it was an off night for them but my heart belongs to Redd.

The dining experience at Cyrus is phenomenal. From the amuse bouche quartet through the dessert cart, everything was excellent. On a list of must-do Bay Area dining experiences, this is in the top three.

It really deserves Michelin Stars with elaborate and delicate taste foods, perfect service, and gorgeous atmosphere. We took 5 courses tasting menu paired with wine and we loved them. Being Japanese, those Japanese words that popped up in the menu and garcon's explanation such as Daikon, Shiso, Tonburi, Okonomiyaki, Kanpachi etc. were a surprise and amusing to us but they might sound puzzling to the others.

This is a fabulous restaurant and great experience for those that have some money to spare. The 5 course tasting menu was plenty of food (there is an 8 course choice as well). My wife and I were pleasantly suprised by the amuse bouches and we were treated to a complimentary cheese plate and glass of wine toward the end of the meal due to it being Alexander Cyrus's 207 birthday. We were also given several small treats in a to-go box after our dessert.

Cyrus's staff is absolutely amazing. They are sweet and informative and so approachable. Also they made my gluten free dreams come true! They even had specially made gluten free bread for the bread course, and gluten free sweets for the end of the meal. Amazing!
Also they had some of the hands down best wine pairings I have ever had. The way the wine enhanced the food was magical. The sommelier is incredibly talented.

"
an extraordinary disappointment---pretentious and pompous and full of themselves...which would be okay if they had reason...the food was at times inventive but mostly just too too precious---in the heart of American wine country pushing french wines---very little local produce---instead brought in from all over the country...very strange to be served "stripped bass from Maryland"---which is of course called rock fish there...just not worth the very high prices.
