Cygnus 27Tenth Anniversary DinnerThis was a great venue for our special occasion. The New York strip was delicious and cooked perfectly. My wife had the salmon, which was also very good, but she was a bit envious of my steak. No beers on tap, but good selection of local beers by the bottle. I ordered the Velvet cocktail. The olive oil gelato was a great way to end the night. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She made us feel very welcome. The menu has a definite Asian flare, and includes some very interesting choices. Diners can enjoy a few small plates, or order the traditional appetizer-then-entree. We tried the octopus, which our waiter Zach highly recommended. It was delicious and tender. The tuna ceviche was also good. Our entrees were the halibut curry and the pork chop. The curry was served with rice on the side, and there was a little too much sauce; it might have been better to make a bed of rice and top that with the sauce and halibut. The halibut itself was perfectly cooked. The pork chop was very good. It was a wonderful, quiet, peaceful get-away for us, we celebrated our one year anniversary there! Cygnus 27 is something to do once in a while on a special occasion. I have a budget that would not allow going to Cygnus 27 more often! We were scouting locations for our wedding dinner that was coming in August, and figured we'd better check the food quality and the wine list. We were so pleased with the food and service that we requested the two servers from that evening be our servers for the wedding.
We've been back 5-6 times over the last year and each time dinner has been wonderful. There's a graciousness and elegance about the place, without the pretense that some display.

It would be GREAT on a clear night - beautiful view of sunset (I suppose). Excellent service (but not very busy). Lauren and Kristen were wonderful, made excellent suggestions.

Coming from a moderate wealth suburb, this restaurant was truly elegant. Everything felt perfect and of high quality and high class. It is a must to have a friendly dinner here with your friends, and would be perfect for a romantic dinner.
