We made the reservation for a family celebration in honor of our French exchange student who was returning to France. We have a beautiful table overlooking the city. The staff were courteous, attentive, and friendly. The food was outstanding and a suprisingly good value for high end dining experience. We had a great time and our guest had a memorable send off party. I highly recommend Cygnus 27 for a fine dining meal. You can't do better in Grand Rapids for the combination of ambiance, service, and food quality.

The Cygnus Sunday brunch experience is by far the most exquisite and awe inspiring culinary experience. The service is impeccable and ideal for a casual Sunday where you can spend a few hours slowly sampling the offerings, which varied from a vanilla French toast, sushi, small plates featuring prime rib, and a variety of desert presentations. The prices may seem a bit high but the expansive views from the top of the Amway, coupled with the service and food is well worth it.

We had a party of six for celebrating valentines. Taking suggestion from other reviews, I requested a window table which we got. It really added to the ambiance of the evening. I recommend the same but it appeared other tables were in view of the city lights. Bar area appeared more obscured to that view. Food was fantastic and served in a timely manner. I gave service a 4 only because we had to remind them to bring rolls and the server didn't know (or claim to know)what was being served at the end as a desert (included in meal). So we ordered desert seperately then received the fondu-ish type desert (which was what I had asked about). I would definately go again for a special occasion and recommend to others. Valet service included.

Best place for brunch ever! The champagne drinks are included in the price. They also offer small plates brought hot to your table, as many as you would like. The food on buffet tables was warm. French toast was wonderful! Our waitress was very attentive.
